Saw beautiful exhibits and pieces, mostly by talented local artists. When in the area, always worth the visit.

We looked at this site as a potential wedding site and didn't choose it, but liked it a lot. Ceremony area: I think usually people use one of the big gallery rooms, probably the one with the piano. The galleries are both beautiful. There is a little sculpture garden and glass-enclosed area that you could have cocktails in. Smaller weddings could have the ceremony in the sculpture garden Reception: You could have it under a tent outside on the lawn in front of the building or in one of the gallery rooms. Dancing has to be back inside after 10 pm. We were planning a 150-175 person wedding, and we would have had to split the reception between the two galleries. The rooms connect and open to each other, but they would be in separate spaces. This was probably one of the biggest factors in not booking the venue. Pricing: Summer (June through September) is $2500. Rest of the year, $2000. Pricing includes space only. Overall: Space is beautiful, the coordinator is extremely warm and friendly. It would be a great place to have a smaller wedding, especially for an art-focused crowd.

The paintings here are some real gems. But the people who work here are very protective of the paintings. No photography is allowed. There's a sculpture garden outside. It's off of 6A. Look for the tiny little sign that says 'Cape Cod Museum of Art'.

Check out the cool new outside installation off swirly sculpture.

Unexpected variety and quality for a local museum. Frequent exhibit changes and knowledgeable staff. Also a great place to host an event.

The Daniel Webster Inn is another historic visit. The chowder here is well worth getting. Don't leave Sandwich without walking on The Boardwalk.

Plenty of parking; a big lot, in fact. There are three parts to this museum. First, there is the museum proper. A timeline and timetable of the history of glass on Cape Cod, and Sandwich, and this particular old factory. The collection is amazing. If you're over 40 and grew up in the Commonwealth, you are certain to see pieces that you recognize or had in your home. A few funny little things along the way of the self-paced tour. Secondly, there is an actual working glass blowing section. Artisans of glass blow and show. It is quite impressive! They encourage questions too. Finally, there is one heck of a store where you can purchase wonderful pieces of glass they make on-site (we did - purple glass paperweight - see in the photo below). We collect the glass plates made on the Cape. One in each corner of the windows. Another Cape tradition. Lots of fun, learning, and reminiscing. Highly recommend a visit. We are sure to visit again.
