Neither diagnosis nor the fix was easy. The process took the better part of an hour. Then, I asked him for a recommendation for bulbs for vanity recessed lights in my bathroom. We are so excited to finally have electricians who have proven they know what they're doing and have reasonable rates, we've lined up additional work for them. They even cleaned up after themselves! I don't think 'clean up after you finish' is too much to expect; however, the difference between the Fisher Electric brothers, and other electricians, is so notable we thought it worth mentioning. How is this for ABOVE & BEYOND: We reached out to Fisher Electric, when a neighbor had a perplexing issue (no breakers had tripped, but no electricity was working at all). They were so frustrated at leaving messages with random electricians, etc. I called Fisher and received a return call within minutes. While trying to guide us through some initial trouble shooting, we learned they were in Maine - ON VACATION! I think they just scored another loyal customer, in my neighbor. Not only were they able to help, it is now the next day and none of the other Electricians have even returned her call. Apparently this is the time of year when the water table rises, and my pumps are on almost all the time and I was concerned with the noises so set up an appointment with Riedell. They offered to come out between scheduled calls (which I thought was awesome), but I told them it wasn't an emergency -- I just wanted an opinion from an expert. They scheduled an appointment for two days later, and the tech (Glen) arrived on time. He was friendly and professional and went to work studying all the pumps in the basement, as well as the pump in the septic system. Now he absolutely could have told me they all needed to be replaced immediately and I would have cut a check. Instead, he assured me they're all in working order and in good shape. As this was my first appointment, he also took a look at my other equipment (on demand water heater, washer hookup, main water line, toilets, faucets, and furnace), and gave me a solid walk-through, providing some thoughts on what I should be looking at over the next year or so. Even though nothing was wrong with my equipment, I happily signed the check for the visit. I have piece of mind and have found my plumbing and heating company.

So I wanted a local electrician to come out to figure it out and fix. I wanted an actual local electrician not some company 2 hours away that pops up at the top of the list just because they want to start providing "service" in the area. (Found that out when trying to find a "local" deck builder a few years ago via Yelp). Anyhow, I called Ed, explained the problem, he had me check a few things, and pretty much identified the problem over the phone. He said he was on another job at the moment and would get back to me later in the day. Unlike many of the other services I've reached out to on Yelp lately, he actually followed through and came by late afternoon. Within about 10 to 15 minutes he found a short in an outlet and fixed the problem. I will not hesitate to contact Ed again for all my electrical needs! All communications/meetings to diagnose the issue, get estimates, schedule the work, and ask questions were courteous, professional, thorough, and efficient. Christopher Ramos and Sean Kramer, the techs who performed the work, represented the company well.
