I have a 35 foot boat that is my livelihood. They run a good business here with a full service marine and fuel dock. Slips moorings and launch ramp. I highly recommend them .

I had a major malfuntion and breakdown on my outboard engine. The malfuntion happened on my first trip on my boat after having service done to my Suzuki outboard engine By Ryders. I am 100% positive that not only was the malfuntion caused by Ryders, but that the service manager Brian also knew that his technicians made a major mistake. After several phone conversations with Brian I realized that he was lying to me to cover up for "his guys." He denyed any wrong doing and pointed the blame at me. I then asked for him to have Allen (the owner of Ryders) call me. I never got a call back, so I called back two more times before Allen called me back. They never credited my bill for their mistake and expected me to pay. Allen proved to be evasive and I never got to talk to him. Let me put it this way folks...My father and I have both purchased outboards from Ryders Cove Boat Yard. We have been doing business with them since 2004 and up until now, they have done most of our outboard maintenence. Their prices were not cheap by any means, but that is not what mattered to us...what matters is good customer service. Everybody was friendly, and even more importantly, if they made a mistake they would fix it (and even apologize). Ryders Cove Boat Yard has lost both me and my father's business due to shoddy work and very poor customer service. Something changed over there when they expanded and opened the new service building. We noticed new people working there, including a not so friendly secretary and a service manager who proved to be a liar. What I want to know is....what happened to Ryders Cove Boat Yard???? And...why would they not own up to a mistake??? Especially when they knew that they would be losing business from not one but two good customers!!!!

Colin was extremely helpful in getting us booked on short notice. And Scott handled the move/blocking like a seasoned pro. If you need marine service of any kind on Cape Cod, Nauset Marine should be your first call.

Dear new owners of Nauset Marine:…read more A long time customer and commercial fisherman who held Nauset marine staff and philosophy of association with my industry in high esteem, I was very disappointed with my first attempt (by phone) to speak with someone under the new ownership. In the past, we always were greeted by a human being when calling in; prompt connection to the proper department followed. Now, an answering service asks us the usual question after informing us of recent changes in the format. after being shunted to the ship store Department, I was informed no one was available to take my call: goodbye And dial tone. My response after education with the new business philosophy under new owners follows: While I have never owned a sport boat purchased from you, I and many other fishers have been "putting bread in your jar" through our commercial businesses. if you hope to keep us coming back, please replace the impersonal and poorly run communication system with the personal touch that made Nauset Marine what it was and always has been. You might also consider having an open house for your customers to meet and get to know you as well. I am sure the customer base, both recreational and professional, would greatly approve. I understand and appreciate you are not new to this industry. However many of us are "working men and women". We will be very disappointed if we loose the bond we have had with the business since 1961. Sincerely, Captain William Amaru, Orleans
