The police kind of shrugged and told me they'd come back in a few hours and mark it for towing if it was still there. The other towing companies that do impound for the police shrugged and said "wait for the police to mark it." These guys a half-hour after I called them had picked up the car and whisked it away. When I broke down in the middle of nowhere -- truly the boonies, two hours away -- Steve dropped what he was doing and came to the rescue himself. I have never been so happy to see someone pull up! He was kind, professional, and genuinely caring the entire time. He made a stressful, miserable situation so much better just by being such a great person. It's rare to meet someone who goes out of their way for a stranger these days, but Steve did exactly that. If you ever need a tow, call Owyhee Towing and ask for Steve -- you'll be in the best hands possible!

Barely any cell service and no traffic coming through as evening was approaching. To make things more stressful, I was coordinating everything from many states away, relaying information between them because my boyfriend could barely hold a signal long enough to make calls himself. After the nearest gas station and another towing company couldn't help, we were referred to Steve at Owyhee Towing & Recovery. From the moment I reached him, Steve was a lifeline. He was already done for the day, but without hesitation, he was willing to drive hours to reach my boyfriend in the middle of nowhere using GPS coordinates. Before committing, he made multiple calls on our behalf trying to find a closer, cheaper option for us. He genuinely wanted the best outcome for us, not just a job. When nothing else panned out, he was ready to go, and gave me a clear fee upfront so there were no surprises. We ended up finding a solution on our own, but knowing Steve was in our corner made an incredibly stressful situation bearable. He stayed responsive over text and phone calls with me the entire time, he never made us feel like we were on our own. In a remote area where help is hard to find, Steve showed up with kindness, patience, and real humanity. That's worth recognizing. If you're ever in a bind out in Owyhee County, Steve is the person you want on the other end of the phone.
