Brown Chevrolet, With the crazy market of trying to purchase…read morea vehicle today in the year of 2022, let me tell you. My husband and I have called multiple dealership, visited multiple locations and it has been a nightmare. From issues such as, no vehicles in stock, in transit, to used vehicles being over priced. I am not sure if I got lucky or what, I happen to call Brown Chevrolet and spoke to Bob Connell in regards to a specific vehicle. Bob was able to find the exact vehicle I wanted that was in transit to them. He worked quickly and efficiently to ensure I got that vehicle. Throughout the time of me waiting for the vehicle to actually arrive at their location, he was very attentive to all and any of my questions. When the day came that the vehicle arrived, everything went pretty fast and good for the most part. The team was helpful, there was miscommunication from the team and I but at the end of the day, they were able to make it right and it made me very satisfied. Max Fancher & Brett Hooper ensured that I was a happy customer to the front desk receptionist, Pam who periodically checked on my two kids in the playroom while I purchased the vehicle. They are very fair on the prices , go above and beyond to ensure it's a smooth transaction and customer satisfaction. I definitely recommend, will definitely return to this location to purchase another vehicle in the future. The facility itself is large, clean and just great overall. Happy with my new vehicle and overall experience. 5 stars.

You sit down you realize you are getting gouged. "unavoidable fees" in the initial buying process that put business overhead on the backs of consumers paying thousands in added fees for a sticker and a paint coating. My vehicle had been in shop since middle December, and it was mentioned it would be about two weeks before it could be looked at this was understandable given the holiday. My vehicle was left until mid January until a warranty representative could come assess as the service writer went on vacation, and nobody was delegated to monitor her messages. Only after my husband and I called multiple times and eventually went in person to get clarification. The labor hours in question were not represented in a clear/ concise manner and only in hand written add in notes. When I requested clarification total work hours were not explained in a way that made the labor bill feel comprehensive. After confirmation my car then sat for a few more weeks while other vehicles took priority. In total 3 months. You need more labor force and more repair housing if you are going to utilize customer service to add money the backs of your patrons. Small businesses are being ousted more and more by easier internet processes and less cost to the consumer. If small businesses are going to compete there has to be an edge that puts you above the cost efficiency, and that is in efficient customer care and no nonsense approach to business. I'd rather have an OTD price and not a back and forth on non-negotiable dealer fees and months long repair service. I will not purchase another vehicle from you, but I'm absolutely hoping for the best for you because if auto service and vehicle purchase becomes automated also... we are in trouble.

1.9 stars? That should have been my warning before wasting half my day at AutoNation Chevy SOUTH…read more Hands down one of the worst car dealership experiences I have ever had. I live in San Diego, CA and have dealt with plenty of dealerships, in Cali and South Texas--none of them come anywhere close to how bad this place is. I was fully ready to buy a 2026 Tahoe and was this close to signing the deal. Then a sales manager, Abel, waddles up with some serious short-man syndrome energy, swinging his little bit of authority around like he was doing us a favor just by existing, and immediately kills the deal. Congratulations, you talked yourselves out of a sale, Mr. Leader of sales in the Coastal Bend. That kind of ego-driven, condescending attitude is exactly why people walk out and never come back. That little man desperately needs to learn how to talk to customers instead of trying to intimidate them. "Leader of sales in the Coastal Bend!" he bragged. Yeah... okay. Your 1.9-star rating says otherwise. The only bright spot was Jacob. He was professional, helpful, listened to what we wanted, and did his job well. He was moments away from closing the deal, until Mr. Leader of sales in the Coastal Bend showed up and completely torpedoed it. You need to find a better career. Do better. Or keep earning those ratings. It's crazy how you see some of the Yelpers are from out of town and still getting awful service. Crazy, but it's true. The worst experiences at this particular dealership. How is it still in service? Update: Drove up to San Antonio and purchased my 2026 Tahoe at the same price with no hassle. Thanks again, Leader of sales in the Coastal Bend.

Hidden Fees, No Disclosure of Major Repairs, and Terrible Accountability…read more I recently purchased a 2019 Nissan Titan Pro-4X from Team Chevrolet GMC of Alice, and the entire experience has been deeply disappointing -- enough that I've filed formal complaints with both the Texas Attorney General's Office and the TxDMV Enforcement Division. Here's what happened: The truck was advertised at what seemed like a fair price and was described as having a "Clean Carfax." After the test drive, I told the sales team I was ready to move forward -- but when the paperwork came out, I was suddenly hit with a $2,500 "services performed" fee. When I asked what this was, they claimed it covered wiper blades, fluid changes, filters, etc. -- routine reconditioning work that's usually baked into a vehicle's listing price. But here, it was added after the fact, on top of the advertised price. I asked for service records to see what I was actually paying for. I was only given basic internal paperwork -- no mention of any major repairs. Here's the kicker: less than two miles after leaving the lot, the check engine light came on. I immediately returned the truck. The next day, their own service department admitted the turbocharger had failed before the sale and had been sent to a third-party mechanic for repair. None of this was disclosed. Not during the sale, not in the service records I requested, and not in the $2,500 charge. When I went back to resolve the issue, I asked to speak to the general manager. Instead, I was referred to David Rodriguez, the pre-owned manager. I asked for a written warranty on the turbo or a fair adjustment. His response? They couldn't offer anything further because they were "already $4,000 in the red." He also told me they don't have to disclose major mechanical repairs unless the customer specifically asks. I asked him point blank, "So if a vehicle had a new engine installed, and I didn't specifically ask about that, you wouldn't tell me?" He said no -- and stood by that logic. To this day, I still haven't received documentation for the third-party turbo repair. The dealership is refusing to offer a warranty or accept any accountability for failing to disclose the most important mechanical history on the vehicle. This wasn't just poor communication -- it was deliberate omission and misrepresentation. If you're shopping here, get everything in writing. Ask for full service records, especially if you're being charged extra for "services performed." The sticker price you see is not what you'll pay -- and based on my experience, you may not know what you're getting until it's too late. Buyer beware.
