Fantastic Mexican Food! We ordered the steak quesadilla fajitas and quesadilla de birra and WOW you have to order the Quesadilla de Birra! It was amazing and next time we will just share that. Juan our server was so nice and, got our food to my family in less than 10 minutes and as a family of five let me tell you that is pretty fast. The overall atmosphere of the place is amazing they have cool and unique paintings all over the walls and tv's all over the place streaming all of the soccer games and, it is actually very clean environment so I didn't feel disgusted. Food was not very good and extremely overpriced. I ordered the Barria Tacos and the meat was barely seasoned. Without lime and cilantro, they were uneatable. My boyfriend ordered the Illinois Burrito and said the burrito was good but the cheese was very bland. Meanwhile my brother was completely unable to eat his food, he ordered the special of the day, pork in green sauce. Maybe took two bites. Sister in law got the Chons and again was only able to eat a few bites. Staff was very dismissive. Walked off mid conversation several times. Atmosphere is decent. So my husband and I have recently started eating here to avoid Tahlequah construction. The service is fast and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. The real star is their queso. Tiny bites of poblano pepper floating in warm white queso. The chips are warm and crisp, the salsa has just a little kick and the flavor is outstanding. Great experience! I tried a couple of other Mexican restaurants in town, but was impressed when I found this one. Based on the name, I assumed it may be a similar to a Tex-Mex place but it wasn't. The signage looked new and the inside was clean and spacious. I was seated as soon as I walked in, so I appreciated the fast service. The thing that sealed the deal was the food. The menu was modern and colorful and had tabs that showed which section of the menu certain types of food were on. Although they don't have a vegetarian section on their menu, they do offer vegetarian items. I had the bean burrito and cheese enchilada. I was really impressed with the flavor of the beans. Its rare that I go to a Mexican restaurant and like their beans, but these were on point! The cheese enchilada was good as well and I like that they gave me a choice on getting my food topped with red sauce or cheese dip. The chips, salsa and cheese dip atop of my food were all delicious. I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm in town. Check this place out! read more

I can't believe how many times I have drove by here without stopping!!! I finally decided to place a take out order to check it out! I was very impressed when I went in! The order was ready very fast and exactly what was ordered. I ordered the carne asada and it came with a roasted jalapeño pepper on top, plenty of sautéed onions, rice, beans, guacamole, chips and salsa! A great value!! The carne asada was cooked a little too well for me but I know next time to order it medium and I'm sure it will be perfect. I will return and dine inside for margaritas! read more

Simple fraud and dishonest wait staff. Look over your simple but non detailed ticket when you pay. Almost to the bottom they are charging your tip without telling you and expecting you to fall for it. It will show $9:15 %T or something like that. In our case 9.15 didn't add up, so when I looked at our friends receipt and they had the same $9.15 %T I started to do the math. The waiter took our two tickets totaled and charged 25% tip and divided by 2. $9.15. Gave him my card and credit card receipt came back with a normal place asking for a tip. read more

Way too much for the small amount of steak. The steak was very thin. When they said thin they meant it. It was tender and tasted good. They also served a nice heaping dollop of guacamole with the meal. The other order was Mole Poblano. This was very good and different. It was grilled sliced chicken breast, nicely browned, with a little bit of crispiness. The mole poblano served on the chicken was excellent. They serve two hotter sauces to go with your chips. One was a creamy avocado pablano. It was very unusual sauce that had fantastic flavor, good spicy and hot. Overall this is a pretty good restaurant! My husband and I are only in town for the day, but wanted good Mexican food. We are so glad we stopped here to eat. The food was very good, from the complimentary chips and salsa to my husband's steak fajitas, and my enchiladas vegetariana. The service was expedient and helpful and prices good. Oh- and the bathrooms were nicely remodeled and cleaned, which was nice for this traveler to find. We will come back when we're in Tahlequah again. read more

First time here and will not be returning. Our waiter were very rude. Some people who came in after us got served before us and while we were sitting we had to ask for some chips and salsa while other tables were being served theirs. When we got our food they didn't get the orders right the meat was very rubbery and everything was just drenched in grease and cheese. I can't recommend this place. The floor was greasy and slick. The table next to ours had to send back the plate because the guacamole was old. The Queso that I ordered was thin as water. We had to keep asking for refills. But the worst of it was two of us in the group had the same meal and we both of got a bad case of diarrhea. The exterior is neatly landscaped. The chips are thick, yellow and crunchy. The salsa has some weird spice I do not like. The cheese dip is Jalepeno white queso. They have coke products. The interior is upscale. The ceiling fans keep the interior at a comfortable temperature. They want to seat the customers. The Pollo Ruby was very good. My little cousin liked her kid's meal. My cousin liked the Carnitas, but they needed salt and pepper and Jalepeno she never got. My cousin works in food service. She said " Food is good. Service sucks." The pico was good. Food is good and super cheap! Our bill for a family of 4 was $34 including a margarita! Their frozen margaritas are great. My husband had steak tacos. They had too heavy cilantro and onions but were otherwise great. They came with a refried bean-queso mixture he liked. I had enchiladas supremas. I loved the beef enchilada...next time I'll get ALL beef enchiladas. The restaurant is TOO HOT especially after a day at the lake. I recommend sitting outside to be a little cooler. read more
