I had been…read morewith the previous company for about 8 years and even after just my first visit with Coastal Sleep I have noticed a great improvement in both the service and the feedback that I have received from the therapist that I met with. Though I have been using my CPAP for 8 years now he took the time to go over everything about my machine and how it works as well as giving me great insight and detail about the new machines that are available and how to go about getting approval from my health insurer to get financial assistance in purchasing a new machine. So glad that I made the switch and very happy with the way I have been treated so far. Two big thumbs up!

They work out of Able Care Medical Clinic and the staff there need some serious customer service training. The gal with Sleepworks was okay but the staff behind the front counter aren't that friendly. I was made to pay out of pocket for the equipment even though there was a process in place with my insurance to have them get approval and payment directly. They also wanted to charge me $100 over the approved amount for extra filters but when I asked about it they said they would waive that cost. That really didn't happen because sure they didn't charge me but they also didn't give me any extra filters so they didn't waive anything, they just didn't provide it. The cost of the equipment is very high compared to prices I found online and the process wasn't great. I wasn't told about the options for masks and was first given a system that was quite painful to use. They were good to swap that out for a different one but had they put some time in and let me try a couple first before committing I would have found what worked for me sooner. The second mask they provided was better but I still had issues and just ended up buying my own mask from an online dealer which worked really well. I was suppose to have another follow up after getting the second mask but I haven't heard from them so I guess they're done helping? I asked a friend who went through the same process with a different company how her experience was and she had a WAY different story. The clinic she went to was more helpful and loaned her a CPAP machine while they waited for payment on hers which went directly to them. They never asked her for money up front, they worked with her to make sure the system she was using was comfortable and they provided extra filters for her at no cost when her machine was ready. Her experience was a lot better than the one I went through so I would highly recommend not using Sleepworks if you need a sleep clinic. Had I done my research on these folks I would never have went with them.

The staffs I've met so far had been professional and very helpful with my needs. After a few tastings, it turns out that I have a severe sleep apnea and is required to sleep with a CPAP machine, and recently after doing a sleep study at UBC hospital, this clinic had set up to a separate oxygen machine to the CPAP machine. At first, it was kind of alarming, but shortly after using it, the was actually really easy to use, seeing as the devices are very non evasive. The result so far is that I do actually feel a bit better physically, and my pulse/heart rate and blood pressure seems to be improving since I started using these machines back in the middle or end of April. I'm still going to be meeting with them for a while, but so far tho, I've been happy with the current results.
