Walked into Canopy Ridge on our visit to Lake Lure and it was Phenomenal. We didn't have reservations and the ladies welcomed us with open arms. There was a group about to leave that we could join so it worked perfectly. We filled out the wavers and also rented a Go Pro for our helmet. After that, we got our harness from our two guides. The two guides we had were amazing and so informative and the kept us entertained the entire time. They actually made the experience fun for us. For 80 per person, you get to ride six different lines that range in height, distance, and speed. Before every ride, the guides give safety tips and the best way to enjoy the ride. For a first-time rider, I'm so glad I was in the hands of Canopy Ridge I felt safe and I was never unsure on every line. It also involves some hiking but only a few steps. We booked a UTV tour. It was our first time but amazingly fun, definitely recommend it! We stayed near the Charlotte Airport and Canopy Ridge is about 1 hour 40 mins away during morning hour. The drive was smooth and Canopy was easy to locate. Kiddos were under age, so hub and I each drove our 1 kid. The guide was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly with couple practice cycles in their parking lot before heading off to the trail. This is our first time driving or riding an UTV, so we didn't know what to expect but man, we all enjoyed. The trail was so much fun. Many up and down hills, tight turns and bumpy ditches but that's what made it fun. Yes, you will get some muddy splashes but after the first one, I went slow to avoid big splashes. After the your, we head off to Chimney State Park, very accessible from Canopy, just 10ish mins down the road. read more

This is a truly fun experience!! Our guides Danial Reynald were absolutely wonderful and made it a very fun experience. They out is in a group of 12, that did the zip line . It was a manageable group I hope. We had a good mix of kids and adults. We did have to wait about 30 minutes because one of the kids was afraid. He did end up doing it which made worthy. They take you up in UTV s to the first point and then you go up to higher levels . There are 6 ziplines. They show you how to go upside down and spin. Nice views and it feels great to be outside. The hiking is pretty easy for anyone who is in decent shape , no injuries. read more

My family of 4, kids 12 and 15, had an amazing time zip lining at Canopy Ridge Farm! Our guides were Kevin and Stephan. Both had an awesome sense of humor, keeping us entertained and putting our nerves at ease. They also put safety first, checking our equipment at every zip platform. I'm scared of heights, overweight, and did this for my kids...I didn't expect to be so comfortable and have so much fun. By the 3rd zip, Kevin and Stephan had us all hollering bird calls and flapping our arms. By the 4th zip we were dropping off the platform backwards! And by the 5th we were doing the Carolina Cyclone, twisting and flipping upside down like Spiderman!! Canopy Ridge Farm is more affordable than some of the other nearby Zipline tours....it's also just 6 zips in about an hour and a half. We found this to be JUST RIGHT!! Not only was this an amazing experience for someone who doesn't live in or is familiar with this absolute gem of a state, the guides were hilarious, laid back, and all around great. Anyone anxious, nervous, or just hesitant... Don't be. They start you off with baby steps (no high climbing) and work your way up to the big zip (still no high climbing).
