I went with Barone Defense Firm, Patrick Barone specifically, for a 2019 misdemeanor DUI case. I…read moreregret this decision. Not only was this law firm MUCH more expensive than other law firms that offer similar services, but I found Mr. Barone to be highly unprofessional. He would frequently take multiple days to respond to my emails and questions, pushed back court dates with no regard for my own availability, never proactively reached out to me with updates, and once sent me confidential documents that were not my own and did not pertain to my case!! In the end, Barone did not get me a plea deal that was any better than I could have gotten with a more affordable lawyer, and his extensions to the legal process timeline only extended my stress over the situation. I'd recommend seeking counsel elsewhere.

In 2023, I reached out to the Abood Law Firm on behalf of the biological father of a foster child…read moremy husband and I had cared for most of her life. I was trying to help him gain custody due to prior abuse by the child's biological mother. I came into that first meeting overwhelmed--bringing years of documentation, emotional, and letting them know I would be taking on financial responsibility for their services. Jeff and Ari spent hours with me, carefully reviewing every detail and truly listening. Not long after, they made a decision that I will never forget: they took the case completely pro bono. At the time, I could hardly believe it. Looking back now, knowing the kind of men they are, it makes perfect sense. What meant even more was their level of commitment to the case. Over the course of 18-months, both Jeffrey and Ari personally attended every single court date. They didn't pass us off to junior staff--they showed up, every time. Even now, that still amazes me. Their dedication, compassion, and integrity are unlike anything I've ever experienced from a law firm. They didn't just take on a case--they changed a child's life. They won the case and worked out a situation that was even better than we could have hoped for. Without hesitation, they gave their time, expertise, and resources to help a little girl have a better future. To me, Jeff and Ari are nothing short of heroes and they are incredible attorneys! I can never repay what they did, but I hope they know how deeply grateful I am. I truly consider them like family now. If you are looking for a law firm led by people of integrity, compassion, and incredible dedication--this is it. I cannot recommend the Abood Law Firm highly enough. God bless you, Jeffrey and Ari.

He trusted him to represent him and fight for him to the best of his ability to prove his innocence. During our experience he was very belittling, rude, insulting, lied and communicated in an unpleasant way to us. He withheld information that was detrimental to his freedom. His rights were waved without his knowledge. As his client he wasn't working for him but against him with the prosecutor. As a black man, he trusted another man to fight for him so that he can maintain his freedom and be there for his family. He manipulated him and made him believe the deal he presented was the only option and there would not be a better one. After researching his case we found out that he lied. He could no longer be represented by a lawyer that pretended to represent him. The judge removed him from the case so that he could have another lawyer represent him that would actually help us. My husband Aaron wants others to know about his experience and hopes no one feels the way he felt when being represented by Loren Dickstein.
