It is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL that he takes his medicines as his cardiologist prescribed. However, Food City seems to try to find any "reason" they can to refuse to refill his prescriptions. They repeatedly tell him that they have to get the doctor's approval for a refill, even though the bottles clearly say there are one or more refills left. Okay, fine ... but his cardiologist rarely receives any requests from them! It almost always takes multiple calls/visits to get a prescription refilled. Last week when he went to try to refill his prescriptions, he was lectured about how the doctor must completely renew all of his prescriptions after a year. That's nice, but HE HASN'T EVEN BEEN TAKING THESE MEDICINES FOR SIX MONTHS YET, much less a year. Then the pharmacist lectured him about pain medicines, saying that the FDA requires approval after 6 months. HE'S NOT TAKING ANY PAIN MEDICINES. I don't know what the guy was thinking, but he treated my husband like he's a pill-seeking dopehead, rather than a heart patient who literally NEEDS his doctor-prescribed heart/BP medicines. Finally the guy filled ONE of his prescriptions, but none of the rest. The cardiologist emphasized during the last appointment that it's CRITICAL that these medicines be taken together, so we're in a major mess. My husband has gone right now to another pharmacy to see about transferring the prescriptions to a more competent place. NOTE: I don't know why my location is showing as San Francisco. I'm in Chickamauga, GA, and this review is about the Food City on Mission Ridge Road, Rossville, GA.
