We sent our dog JULY  for their four weeks program and had a wonderful experience with the dog training program. When I attended the initial consultation, I was amazed by how large, clean, and over-the-top the facility was. The talk lasted 30 minutes, and we spoke for almost one 1hour. They were patient, and we explained all our goals, which we wanted our July to be trained on. Tyler worked with July. We received daily "Pupdates" and report cards that included videos, photos, and an overall update on his improvement. I could tell Tyler cared about July as if he was his doggie. We are so proud and thrilled about the progress July has made. TRULY AMAZING! July's confidence built up, and his personality came through by the end of the 4-week board and train program. We can't wait to attend group classes and continue to board and bring him back to see the K-9 Culture team! I Recommend K-9 Culture to anyone looking for training for their doggie. Thank you, K-9 team & Tyler, for all your hard work.

For the first hour Lauren provided some good information and things to try with Darwin to help him. After that she said she wanted to bring in her dog for Darwin to be around, I stated I wasn't really comfortable with Darwin being around another dog and I didn't think it was the best idea. Lauren assured us that her dog Mable was extremely friendly and did not care about other dogs (Mable is a pitbull mix that is only 1 year old and about 50 pounds)! As Mable was brought in Darwin was barking and growling (his normal), and Mable was ok but then she started growling and getting aggressive. Her hair was standing up and Lauren said she was just correcting Darwin, so we just kept watching which was a mistake. Mable snapped at Darwin's ribs and bit him. We didn't see he was bleeding until she left. The next day our dog was very lethargic and sore, he couldn't jump up on the couch or walk with out crying out. Lauren did send me Mable's medical records at my request and was made aware that Darwin was bleeding. She did not offer a refund for the training. We already knew our dog has issues to fix, that is why we hired her, now he is even more scared of other dogs. The good news is he is healed up, but we will never use this company again. Please make sure to communicate what you want and you know your dog better than anyone else, do not put them in danger.

After trying just about everything for our rescue dog, Cubli Wu, we finally found Aaron Stewart at…read moreThe Educated Dog. Cubli is an extremely fearful, reactive, resource-guarding Pekingese with a bite history. We had already worked with a behavioral veterinarian, tried medication, and worked with two highly qualified reward-based, fear-free trainers. Despite our best efforts, we simply weren't making progress. Aaron's approach is completely different, but that does NOT mean it's cruel. I would never allow that. Everything he did was calm, confident, and purposeful. He never yelled or tried to frighten Cubli. During our four-hour session, Cubli attacked him several times and even broke the skin on his arm. Aaron handled every situation calmly and safely, and by the end of the session Cubli was voluntarily walking up to him for attention. That alone spoke volumes to me. Even more amazing were the changes we saw in just one session. I was able to pet Cubli's head, something that had become incredibly difficult. Cubli also remained completely calm while someone used our guest bathroom, which previously would have triggered frantic barking and attempts to chase and bite. What impressed me most wasn't just the changes in Cubli, but how much Aaron taught James and me. We realized that many things we thought were perfectly normal were actually contributing to Cubli's emotional state. Aaron helped us understand how to communicate with our dog in a way that helps him feel safe instead of feeling responsible for controlling every situation. We know one session doesn't magically solve years of behavioral issues, and the real work now belongs to us. But for the first time since adopting Cubli, we genuinely feel hopeful. Aaron understood our dog in a way no one else had. Somewhat to my embarrassment, I actually started to cry as Aaron was leaving. That is very unlike me. It wasn't because I thought Cubli was "fixed." It was because, for the first time in a very long time, I truly felt he had a chance. If you have a fearful, reactive, aggressive, or resource-guarding dog and feel like you've run out of options, I can't recommend Aaron highly enough. He was worth every penny.

Our rat terrier was with no more than 4 other small dogs at time. He had a good time and is still recovering 2 days later from all of the playing. We received a tour of the resort and we were impressed. You can send your dog to the spa and be bathed before you pick him up. They also have a "taxi" that can pick your dog up at your home if necessary. Extremely professional and competent. They did not make me feel crazy or overbearing when I called to check in and see how our puppy dog was. We will absolutely be back. Thanks Fort Knox.

Knox since February 2015 and every single time we've left him, he's come home happy & totally exhausted from playing with the other dogs. I wanted to update my review because this past weekend was the first time we asked them to give him a bath and trim his nails the day we picked him up. THIS is how it should be done you guys! Tucker smelled SO good and was so handsome in the bandana they put on him. This is still the best of the best!! The people there are so, so good to my puppy and I am so thankful we have a place to take him. I still HIGHLY recommend Ft. Knox for boarding but also for baths & nail trims.
