The samples were to be sent somewhere and I was told by Dr. Jafari that I would get the results the next day. I waited until 2.00 p.m. and phoned to see if results were in but Dr. Jafari was not there and I was told by reception that Dr. Lleri was not comfortable "interfering" in Dr. Jafari's cases. I was told by reception that there was something showing in the urine test results and Dr. Jafari would call me on Monday. That meant three days at least that my cat was still unable to urinate. I hung up and called another clinic who have agreed to see me and my cat on Saturday since the inability to urinate is an emergency. Do not ever go to Kingston Veterinary Clinic.

The Kingston Veterinary Clinic told us that our dog's breathing was normal. May 2023, a week later we take our dog to Ohio. The American clinic told us that our dog has a tumor in her abdomen and that she has abnormal breathing due to the Laryngeal Paralysis disease. We return to Canada. Dr. Llera pushes Librela on us. We phone our American vet: the Laryngeal Paralysis disease causes hind leg weakness, the Librela will do nothing to improve our dog's mobility. Conclusion: the Kingston Veterinary Clinic is bad.

Our dog had open sores full of puss in her feet and respiratory problems. The Princess Animal Hospital refused to swab our dog's feet at our request to find out what the bacteria was. They did not offer our dog sedation to calm her breathing and reduce her pain. They refused to provide us with an emergency referral to a hospital in Toronto. They did not tell us what was wrong with her feet. The Princess Animal Hospital prescribed our dog antibiotics. About a week later I took our dog back to the Princess Animal Hospital, and paid them hundreds more dollars to look at her feet again because the antibiotics that they had prescribed were not working. Again, I asked them to take a swab of her feet. Again, the Princess Animal Hospital refused to take a swab, this time saying they could not do it because they had already placed her on antibiotics. Again, they did not offer our dog sedation to calm her breathing and reduce her pain. Again, they refused to provide us with an emergency referral to a hospital in Toronto. Again, they prescribed more of the same antibiotics. We still had no idea what was wrong with our dog's feet. A few days later our dog's feet were even worse. I gave her an epsom foot bath and skin from her feet fell away leaving bone. We freaked out! I phoned the Princess Animal Hospital. They offered to prescribe more of the same antibiotics. Why would we pay hundreds of dollars more money for another exam and more of the same antibiotics which were obviously not working? We immediately took our dog to an emergency hospital in Toronto without a referral. What the Princess Animal Hospital did to our dog was INHUMANE!!! INHUMANE!!!

Went to pick up her monthly flea and tick medication and it was just handed to me as she was young without weighing her. I asked if he would like to weigh her then realized he was about to sell me the wrong dosage. No apology and I don't think even realized the problem with what he did even was. 2. Was quoted about $875 to get her spayed. Then when it was time . They tacked on A) $225 as she was just over a year old B) Hundreds more for blood test never spoken about previously before the general anesthesia. C) was informed after surgery that if she develops diarrhea to immediately bring her back. She did later on and I brought her in immediately. Over $800 more for medications and special food, stool sample, hydration. The whole time it was just her shaking off the general anesthesia. She was fine a few hours later without taking any of the medication. Realizing how taken advantage off I got I asked for the office manager to call, never did until other requests weeks later basically saying too bad. They called with the stool sample results sure enough saying she was fine the whole time. Getting her spayed cost me over $2500. I've met 2 vet technician's who worked there previously at dog parks. They said that their post surgery instructions used to be that diarrhea an be expected sometimes after surgery and give it some time before bringing them back in. Adding that they left as the culture became a "how many blood tests did you sell this month type mentality" They try and explain the multiples higher costs by saying they are the "Gold Standard" but all the visits I've had were just the vet asking me if I noticed any change. Then petted her a bit and left. $225+ per. A combination of incompetence, horrible pricing and overall lack of interest in many employees is a tough combination to find but here it is. I brought all this and more up to office manager who appeared to not worry about any of it. Didn't ask who was selling me the wrong dosage. I was shocked at the lack of management overall as well as staff. Many I'm sorry's but long after the money is in the bank. Couldn't suggest avoiding this place for any others more. For care and pricing try somewhere else.

Using the stethoscope on her was the closest she got. We spent over 2&1/2 hours there, empty waiting room and maybe 10 minutes total with Vet. I went home and called the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital on Midland Ave open after hours and said bring him right in. After a 15 minute drive there they opened the door and took my boy right in and said they would call me. Two hours later they called me and said I could pick him up. When I arrived my groggy boy was ready to go home. Upon inspection his chest was sewn to perfection with about 2 dozen stiches, had a temporary fluid drain installed and left with a bag full of pain killers and anti-biotics and all at a price I didn't wince, squirm and argue about. One day later he is back to his wonderful self again but with very limited movement for the next month.. I am ETERNALLY GRATEFULL for the exceptional treatment by the staff toward myself and especially for the speedy professional emergency medical treatment my boy needed immediately. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THE KINGSTON REGIONAL PET HOSPITAL. We are SO LUCKY to have this pet hospital in our region. I cannot thank them enough for their service as my boy is everything to me. D Nourry

The Kingston Regional Pet Hospital told us to wait until Monday and to take our pet to our regular vet. We trusted the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital so we listened to them. We took our pet to a local clinic on Monday. But it turns out that our dog had an infection in her foot. Infections need to be treated right away or they grow and spread. Because the Kingston Regional Pet Hospital had told us to wait two more days before taking our dog to a vet, the infection had been given two more days to grow in our dog's body. The infection had eaten half of our dog's foot by the time she was seen on Monday by a local veterinarian. Our dog was in severe pain. Our dog is now dead. And all we had needed were some antibiotics.
