I started coming here to groom my dogs when I moved to Smithfield in 2016. For about 2 years they…read moregroomed my 3, very different dogs for a very reasonable price. The dogs always seemed well cared for and as calm as you could expect going for a grooming. My family and I moved out of state for a few years and returned in 2023- even though we no longer drive in Smithfield, we drive about 30 mins to bring our 4 dogs (2 are the same. 2 different). In the last 2 weeks, I have had my 13yr old Jack Russell get shaved ($60) and my 2.5yr old Husky mix get a de-shed and "butt fluff" clean up ($100). Both doggos looked and smelled great, and my husky was so comfy it was hard for them to get her to leave lol! I think pricing is great (they haven't even changed pricing on my Jack Russell since 2016)! But more importantly, they seem genuinely kind and caring to the dogs they care for.

Dr. Hammond is absolutely wonderful! I can't say enough about every single veterinarian I have…read moreencountered at this place. There is an older vet tech (heavy, gray hair) that is awful. She makes nasty side comments when she has zero clue. Why on earth would you work in the service world around precious animals sometimes in their worst moment and have zero kindness and compassion? And for the veterinarian to have to come in the room after she left to correct what she said? makes me think she left the room running her mouth passing judgement in error. There are a lot of animal hospitals in this area and we have chosen Willowrun but with people like that working there it makes you think twice about it. Do better!

Tasha has been the groomer for our dog for over 5 years. She's very nice and I believe cares…read moregreatly about what she does and how she does. The last couple of times she groomed our dog there were a couple of issues, so the last time she came to our home to take care of our dog I brought those issues to her attention. A few days later she sent an email ending our "business relationship" because though our "complaints and concerns are valid" she "could not confirm or deny" what happened. I wish to point out that when I told her of these concerns that I was as polite as I could be with her, so that she was aware of what happened. In her email to us she expressed that she felt very anxious while working on our dog after our exchange. Which is part of the reason she quit. After 5 years of having her come to our house to groom our pet and having a pleasant business relationship we thought we had, we thought that bringing things like this to her attention would be nothing more than something for her to consider while working on our pet, regardless of whether she could confirm or deny what she was being being told.
