Really enjoyed our experience at the humane society. Came in after the new year looking to add…read moreanother cat to our home. The newish humane society is huge! Lots of kennels, playrooms, etc. The entire facility was clean and I love that the cats gets to roam in their rooms rather than being locked in a crate all day. This isn't true for all of the cats but the vast majority. We walked through all the rooms and finally found our guy. The directions of how to pick an animal could have been a little better defined but there were staff going through the rooms that were readily available to answer questions. We just had to pick up the paper with the cat's info and bring it to the front. We were helped by Ezra who was amazing. Extremely caring and wanted us to know all there is to know. The one thing to know: they do not test their animals for FIV/FELV upfront, likely do to cost. They will do it within minutes after your cat chooses you. I have 4 torn ligaments in my wrists, crushed cartilage and a herniated disc in my neck. My medical bills alone will be 90k and they REFUSE TO PAY A CENT. I had dozens of sutures, a 3 inch perforation, saw my forearm muscle on the outside of my arm and the bone. It sunk it's fangs into my chest. If it had been the right side, I'd have died on the spot. The sob went for my neck. He had also been put inFIVE HOMES in a month. Plus, they said he was six when he wasnt even 2. I have all the proof and receipts, some horrific pictures that made a cop sick. Do NOT trust ANYTHING that they tell you. I'm desperately hoping they try to claim defamation. They have executives who are apparently notorious snakes.
