The teachers are very helpful and keep in contact. I've never had an easier time communicating with my son's teachers. The school really emphasizes responsibility and accountability. The after school care is also very nice. They have many different clubs that your child can sign up for ranging from computer club to cooking club. Another little bonus is the school is always clean and well landscaped. If you are looking for an elementary school you would like to be near this is the one!

They aren't supposed to do that. I had an incident in 2024 when we had a different SRO officer. Whereas they had called a parent of mine to do the searching on me. Not to mention, the ongoing bullying i went throughout the years that the teachers/staff had supported and partaken in. As well as picking and choosing favorite students which is extremely weird. During Covid a lot of kids got into the school (it's lottery admission) that probably didn't need to be there. And some parents don't understand that the school is designed for smarter kids, it won't make them smart. The new Board of Directors and administrators are working hard in helping students find the right schools personal scenarios because this school isn't the right fit for everyone. Unfortunately as a public school, they can't arbitrarily dismiss students like a private can. But if students make good choices and apply themselves, this school offers all they could ever need. PARENTS BEWARE PART 2…read more School is about to start and I have made it a mission to educate anyone on Northside Christian School. Please understand I am passionate about the learning process and I respect the teaching field. Trust me when I say do your research and ask other parents/students who don't attend church and/or work there how far behind in technology most of the teachers are and how the school don;t have the staff or administration to hold the teachers accountable to following a structured teaching guide that good for the student that does not plan to go onto Bod Jones Christina college. BEWARE of Mr. Rysta he is a awful non-caring teacher. This is the prime example of a teacher who has tenure in the school and doesn't care what is best for the student but what is more convenient for him. Is totally opposed to communicating with parents who want to be involved and asks for conferences to discuss any concerns that may highlight what he is lacking. This school totally changed my childs personality. The kid who always happy and smiling was often sad and felt like he was being ignored by some of his teachers. He would express they would ignore him trying to raise his hand and get help for classwork. When I asked him what was the problem he would say too many students in one class. I was told there would be smaller classes so that was a lie that was told to make us feel comfortable. There is only one set of teachers for each grade and that teacher will teach more than one class so of course they would be exhausted and ignoring students. I just want to avoid any parent from thinking they found a great school that will be a great educational institution for their child to understand this school is not what they sell you and I be the reviews are from church members. I have spoken to others who felt the same way but instead of taking time to write about it in the comment section they just talk about it and leave it at that. I on the other feel that it is my duty to let other's know really what is happening once you commit and start paying the tuition. If you feel that I am upset or my child has problems totally not the case. He is a bright kid and was totally broken while he was here. He completed the year and we decided to enroll him at another school where he can enjoy the learning process with people who care about the children and have a heart for teaching, I have NEVER experienced such a God awful experience in any of my other children who have been in Christian schools for 1/2 of their education.

There's so many things that are shady about whatever this establishment is considered to be. I'm embarrassed to have to have sent my child there for the time that I did. I was charged for 2 weeks of tuition after my child's last day. I had been in contact with them since the end of June regarding the matter and was only been met with a constant run around on when I will be receiving my refund of almost $600 despite being told on over 4 separate occasions that I would be getting the refund. Absolutely appalling given June 17th is when I officially notified them of this matter. It took me constantly calling, emailing, calling into their "corporate" adjacent locations, to finally have this handled. On August 26th i was told i would be receiving a refund of only $510 that would be sent out that very next day. I finally received my refund yesterday September 10th. Before receiving this I had called I believe 3 times (after waiting a week from 8/26) to see if there was a tracking # or anything to know that it had been sent out. The check was signed & dated on 9/8. While I did receive a good majority of what was owed to me, I cannot believe the amount I was gaslit, mislead, dodged, and delayed. As if they just hoped I'd forget about it. To sum up it all up, the way in which Archway Academy conducts their business is nonetheless, abhorrent.

I was terrified…read morebecause he had never been in a daycare before and I had been a stay at home mom, nervous to let anyone watch him because I knew no one would care for him like I do. I looked at a bunch of daycares where all the teachers seemed tired and miserable and lethargic. Some of them wouldn't even respond to me when I said hello. I've seen playgrounds with broken toys that could hurt the children. I've seen classrooms full of kids with snot all over their faces that led me to believe the teachers refused to wipe their noses and in turn giving way to a vicious cycle of sick children. Then I found the Sunshine House in Mount Pleasant. Everyone was warm and welcoming, the kids were happy, the toys were unbroken and age appropriate, and Ms. Jane Anne had a kid in her lap and was wiping his nose! My son who is very clingy was anxious to squirm out of my arms and play on the playground and I instantly felt that he would be safe and cared for here. It's not conveniently located for me, but it's worth the extra drive for a daycare that exceeded my expectations. They even provide free diapers and wipes as well as breakfast, lunch, and snack. They also have flexible schedules so I can gradually increase his time there until I find a job. So happy I found the sunshine house!
