I was served by Suzie, who was extremely attentive and very professional. She noticed that I was perspiring after my long walk, so she immediately brought me a glass of ice water. For an appetizer, Suzie recommended the Heirloom Tomato Salad, which complemented my entrée of Beef and Pork Ragu perfectly. For wine, Suzie suggested a glass of GLS Quilt Merlot. For dessert, as I am a chocoholic, I selected the Chocolate Addiction. The only negative was the bread. It was a bun with a taste of honey. Personally, I believe that a fine-dining restaurant should serve sliced French bread rather than a roll. Overall, I had a very enjoyable dining experience, thanks in large part to Suzie's excellent service.

We ordered the two-person seafood tower, and it was the perfect amount to share. It included shrimp, oysters, crab claws, and smoked trout dip, with the trout dip being my personal favorite. Since our group wasn't very hungry, we shared a variety of appetizers, sides, and desserts. Each dish was incredible and we left completely satisfied without feeling overly full. The Coconut Cake is an absolute must-order--it's every bit as good as everyone says! Our server was attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel extra special. As a thoughtful surprise, they brought the birthday girl complimentary macarons, which were absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a restaurant with exceptional food, outstanding service, and a beautiful ambiance for a celebration or date night, Peninsula Grill is definitely worth a visit!

This is an interesting restaurant with a lot of food choices. I was with my picky Louisiana born…read morecolleague so he can try out their offerings. They have a few unique items like their sweet tea which is called swamp water and is infused with lemon, lime and orange. It didnt really seem like it was infused. More like they just poured in various concentrated fruit juices. Too bad our waitress wasn't as informative as the waiter serving the table behind us. She failed to indicate that they have off the menu items, and specials on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. It was kind of hard to choose since I had been eating seafood all week leading up to this visit and also trying to avoid fried foods this year. I ended up choosing the mussels and bowl of gumbo, along with a sweet tea. The tea tasted fairly similar to a lipton sweet tea from the soda fountain and not really something homemade and infused with fresh juices. Mussels - these were really good. Even if half of the mussels fell out into the broth during preparation. Gumbo - this was kind of questionable. My colleague also saw the redish hue of the liquid and said he was glad he didn't order it. It was filled with a lot of seafood, but the liquid was just too creamy. My colleague also commented on the etouffee that was being brought out to other nearby tables and supposedly it looked too dry. I also ordered a to go dessert. The bread pudding. It ended up being pretty decent though.
