This place is disgusting. Both adults and kids stick their hands in the candy bins without gloves or scoops. I can't imagine the germs that are spreading. There is no one monitoring this at all, it's a free for all. Even the parents of the children are sticking their bare hands in. The place smells like cleaning detergent, but don't be mistaken, the candy is filled with germs.

My wife got something like a Chocolate Fudge that she really enjoyed and said it was better than the Mocha she also got. What I did like was the attention and care the person who must have been the manager showed. This couple ordered two cones and were given a white paper bag. At the same time two cones came to the counter. She quickly realized that that couple had been given the wrong order. She got them straightened out and already had my ice cream out of the bag the other couple had touched and a fresh one open but before putting anything in the bag she asked if I wanted my order rescooped and that they'd be happy to do so. I declined since they only touched the bag and didn't open it but I appreciated the option and the way she handled the situation.

We are on our drive home, 40 MINUTES INTO THE DRIVE (only 50 minutes left, so essentially half way home), when I remembered that we forgot to get fudge. And that there is no other Country Kettle Fudge shops on the drive home. I start panicking and crying, and we drive back to the location closest to us mileage wise (in which case, is the Surf City location). There was no one in the store when I went in (this is around 4:30 PM on a Sunday). I got a pound of vanilla nut fudge. Luckily, the employee working informed us that the credit card machine is down, so she could only take cash. THANKFULLY I had $20 on me, so I asked her to make sure it would be $20 or less. This was a new batch of fudge, so the woman said that this particular batch had a LOT of nuts, but that was fine with me! The fudge was good, and the woman also provided two knives rather than one which was nice.

My kiddos love a good arcade so we had to stop by and check it out. Our Endless Summer is a smaller sized arcade but it was perfect to spend an hour or so there. There were lots of claw games (and many were play until you win, which is a win for me). There was also skee-ball, basketball, the usual video games, etc. What really stood out was the prize selection. They had SO many different types of prizes for a reasonable amount of tickets. My kids left with so much loot! And the girl who was helping out with the prizes, was so VERY nice and patient while my kids decided what to spend all their winnings on. There is also a small spot to grab ice cream (on the inside and outside). The spot might be small but they offer many flavors and combos. I highly recommend checking out Our Endless Summer when visiting LBI. It's a nice little break!

Yes, they'll likely engage you to sing or play along - but it's part of the charm and experience. They aren't rude or aggressive about it, quite the opposite - they're very polite and professional. I had the pleasure of taking my 9mo along for their first experience and they were not only supportive, but several of the waitri came over to take pictures and hold after. The atmosphere is a bit loud, but we were seated up front so that's to be expected. The table and restaurant were very clean, and the prices were very reasonable given the area and time of year. The ice cream is also good, it's not going to change your life but for the price and experience it was (and has always been) solid. We are excited to come again, and continue the tradition.
