8 or so years later and I still have a traumatic fear of dentists directly correlated with my…read moreexperience here. Dr. Malecz is not sensitive to patients experience or needs. Unfortunately, I have a small mouth (thanks mom and dad) and growing up, I ended up having a majority of my teeth extracted in order to ensure ample and adequate space in my mouth for my permanent teeth to grow in correctly. As a young kid, this experience isn't necessarily the most comfortable or welcoming--and Dr. Malecz made it that much worse. One time, he extracted 6 of my teeth instead of the 2 that I was told were going to be pulled, without telling me. Another time, he gave me a shot of Novocain for 4 teeth I was having extracted and did not wait for the Novocain to set (as mandated for use) and ended up pulling my teeth straight away. 4 teeth pulled with little to no numbness. My mom says she knew right away that the Novocain hadn't set in and that I was screaming bloody murder and he had no care in the world. That was the last time we were there. As a pediatric dentist, you would think his attitude would be more welcoming and comforting than not. He speaks in an extremely condescending tone and continuously talks down to you during the appointment. I am 21 years old and still struggle with going to the dentist because of the traumatic experiences I have had at this practice. Please, I'm asking all the parents out here, to NOT force your kids to continue going to a doctor that continuously makes them uncomfortable and scared. It's not worth it.

The thing that upsets me is after I specifically stated I did NOT want the exam, because I had no insurance and was paying "out of pocket", the staff bypassed me and harassed my mother in the waiting room telling her it was "by law" that this exam needed to be done. I AM THE PATIENT, NOT MY MOTHER. I feel we were taken advantage of and will look for somewhere else to get my cleaning.

I have to admit, I was curious but I had some health concerns I needed to address and I needed to see a doctor. I made the appointment and was looking forward to see if I will have a great experience as her other patients (or the opposite). Erin, her admin/nurse was welcoming as soon as I walked in. She was upfront with regard to how much my insurance will cover. My insurance will only cover a portion of the visit as Dr. Badawy is in the network but a different tier per the plan I chose. I was already thinking that I would have to find another doctor. I met with Dr. Badawy, who was not only welcoming, she listened to every one of my concerns. She was not dismissive, but very compassionate and understanding. She came up with a care plan and lab tests to address my concerns. My visit exceeded my expectations. I highly highly recommend Dr. Badawy. Even though my insurance does not cover the cost of having her as my doctor, I will remain her patient. I am so happy to have found her. Thank you Dr. Badawy!

I was one of the people searching online for the best option to correct my smile, and even visited 2 other dentist in Denville prior to me coming here. As soon as I walked through the door I knew this was going to be the best place. Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly at the front desk and prepared for my question prior to even seeing the doctor. Once I was in the exam room, Dr. Hal went over everything that he would do with me if I chose to proceed, then he told me to go home and think it over with my wife. I knew based on the reviews i read, other patients that i spoke to, and other consultations that i had, that he knew worlds more than the "competition". Dr. Adam Kimowitz and Dr. Hal Kimowitz are such nice people, It is hard to actually describe in a review, you will just have to come in and experience it yourself. I chose to move forward with Dr. Kimowitz treatment plan for ClearCorrect aligners, and couldn't be happier.
