I've only taken one pottery class and my mom was completely new to the wheel throwing world. Jennifer was so great in explaining the process, walking us through the steps, and lending a hand in shaping our pieces. We both learned so much and honestly left wanting to go back asap! Her 20+ years of experience really show when she's demonstrating the process on her wheel, making everything look easy! We successfully made 3 pieces and probably could have done more. My mom and I aren't particularly confident crafters so we took our time with our pieces. Looking back at our photos, we're so proud of the result and can't wait to see them when we go pick them up! Jennifer also showed us so many glaze options and really helped us customize colors! We had such a great time (my mom had rave reviews for her birthday present) and are already looking into bringing the whole family for a class! He doesn't group students strictly by age; instead, he assesses their skill level to make sure that students will be able to keep up with the rest of the group.

We tried a free art class here and I got to sit in the class. The teacher was very patient and taught her to first draw each line curve etc then they used oil pastels to color, next they used water paint to paint, then they used clay to make dirt. Our trial class is the excavator picture you see. We were very amazed at how much she learned in that one session. We enrolled her immediately. There are multiple make up sessions throughout the week if you need to miss your regularly scheduled class for vacation etc and option to do one on one make up class as last resort as well. We love the staff here and know she'll be in good hands and learn more of her passion here. There's multiple classes going on at the same time based on different art class levels. I've seen kids make sushi with different color clays etc and I've seen kids sketching when I'm pick up or dropping off my daughter so there's definitely lots to learn. I can see why happy Picasso is so popular around here after trying it out myself. When my daughter turns 7 and if she's interested, they also offer digital art class which will be useful for her in the future as well. Teachers here are very patient with the students. When she first started, she enjoyed drawing but didn't always know what to do or how to improve. Thanks to the teachers here, she has grown so much in her skills and confidence. Now she not only draws better, but she also truly loves it. One of the best parts is how the teachers make learning fun while still teaching real techniques. My daughter has learned shading, perspective, and other important basics, but she never feels pressured. The lessons are taught in a way that keeps her excited and motivated. She comes home after class ready to keep practicing on her own, and it's wonderful to see. At home, I notice a huge difference. She draws almost every day now, and when we travel she even makes lists of things she wants to sketch along the way. It's amazing to watch her creativity grow, and I know it's because of the encouragement she gets at this school. The environment is also very positive and welcoming. The studio feels structured enough to learn but still relaxed, so kids really enjoy being there. My daughter looks forward to every class, and it has become one of her favorite activities. We definitely plan to continue coming to this school. She wants to keep improving her traditional art and also try digital art in the future, and I'm confident this is the right place for her to do that. Once we decided to book with them, they walked me through the entire process from start to finish, made sure we were prepared for the big day, and checked in with me regularly. On the day of the party, they had 5 people at our home helping with our group of 22 children, and it was such a smooth, fun, creative, under-control party.
