DO NOT USE!! I REPEAT, DO NOT USE!!! TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY
I bought a brand new truck in BC, needed it shipped to ON and was referred to Canadian Fleet Services by the people I bought the truck from as they had done business with them in the past. I spoke with Daniel, who is the owner and we agreed upon a price for the delivery of the vehicle. When asked about liability, he assured me that they were liable for any accidents or damages and in his exact words "that was why I was paying them the big bucks". I should have known from his lackadaisical attitude and poor communication skills that maybe this was not a good idea, but was put at ease somewhat by the fact that he had been recommended as someone who got the job done numerous times previously. The truck was picked up 3 days later than the agreed upon date, and as there was supposedly bad weather in the mountains en route to Toronto, I was ok with that and said it was fine, mind you I had to continuously call to find this out. A day after pickup, I got a text at 7am that the truck had crashed and immediately hopped on the phone to call Daniel, who seemed as concerned as somebody who had spilled water on the floor. He advised that his insurance would cover it, and that he would contact me as soon as he knew what was going on. If his communication skills were bad before this happened, they became horrendous after the accident, dodging phone calls, not returning emails etc. It took almost a week for him to tell me that they had left my $200,000 truck on the side of the road for 2 days, but was told by him that it wasn't so bad because "at least it was in a pile of snow". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!! Then I was told that he had been advised by his insurance company that they don't cover vehicles that don't belong to CFS, which makes no sense whatsoever as they are a transportation company. All in all, now I have to make a claim through my insurance company, pay the high deductible, as well as pay for the days they had the truck in storage before I made the claim which was almost two weeks of running around chasing CFS. Their lack of correspondence with me, the leasing company and my insurance adjuster was completely and utterly unprofessional, and has incurred unnecessary costs on my part. I am losing a ridiculous amount of money due to all this, as I have no truck, and it has been very stressful. The worst part about it is, I understand accidents do happen, but their total disregard for their customer is appalling. I, as well as the company that recommended them, will not be using them ever again, I wouldn't even let them move my car from the street into my driveway, and I most definitely wouldn't refer anyone to them, except maybe my worst enemy. The only reason I even gave them 1 star is because they wouldn't let me give them 0. I have had bad experiences with numerous companies in the past and have never felt compelled to write a review until now, unless I was asked to do so by them, and those were always positive. As a business owner myself, I take great pride in customer satisfaction, and the true test is not when things go smoothly, but when things go awry and are made right that sets one apart.
