I started with its first location in North York during the pandemic. Since then, I tend to visit the Scarborough and Aurora locations. At some stage, I went there every week for over a month. I probably overdid it. My friend and colleague, who introduced me to Chung Chun's Korean rice dogs, and I were craving some. We decided to head over there for lunch. I drove us over there a couple of Wednesdays ago. This location is next to Btrust Supermarket. I didn't have any issues finding parking at this Chinese plaza. I backed into an available parking spot. We both walked in. We ordered using the kiosk. We originally wanted to get four rice dogs. However, the option to get four didn't allow us to specify which ones we wanted. We automatically got the four most popular flavours. We both wanted a ramen chip each. So, we paid a bit more to get the flavours that we wanted. We got these rice dog flavours: - Sweet potato - Potato - Ramen chip dogs (2) We got sweet chilli and spicy mayo sauces, and honey butter seasoning. My friend paid with a credit card. For some reason, this kiosk didn't like mine. The nice woman behind the counter let us know that it would take roughly fifteen minutes to make. We were good with it. The menu has changed since I last ordered something from this franchise. Chicken wings and drinks were new to me. This store has a ledge to place your food and drinks on, which is all around the wall. You do need to stand up to enjoy them. We ended up going to a nearby food court to eat and get drinks. The woman was great asking what sauces we wanted. We got sweet chilli and spicy mayo sauces. We both got honey butter seasoning sprinkled on a couple of them (ramen chip for me and potato for my friend). We got our dogs in a box. We thanked the woman and headed to my car. My friend secured the goods as I drove us to a nearby food court. After securing our drinks, we found a table at the food court to enjoy our lunch. I started with the sweet potato rice dog. I liked the chunks of sweet potato. They were delicious and naturally sweet. What I grew tired of after a while was eating thick batter around the dog. It was way too much of it to find the dog inside. I ended up eating the sweet potato chunks off the batter. I then removed the batter and ate the dog part, which was plump and yummy. It was the same deal with the ramen chip. The batter was way too thick on this one, too. I ended up eating the ramen, which was crispy and perfect. I then removed the dough and had the dog. The ramen chip is my favourite rice dog. Sadly, I couldn't enjoy it as intended. I looked at my old photos of my ramen chip rice dog. Other locations didn't use so much batter as if it were free. It seems to be at this location where the batter application is heavy-handed. If I do return to this store to order rice dogs, I'd ask for less batter around the dogs.
