This is an awesome place to swim. As a trans woman, I'm usually fairly anxious about whether I'd be welcome to work out anywhere. However, the signage is incredibly welcoming and I haven't gotten any nasty stares when using the facilities. While I'll admit that I haven't used the gym upstairs extensively yet, it seems fairly well-appointed when I was there. I've also seen that they have hockey arenas... fields... courts... whatever the hell they're called. They look pretty cool. read more

Excellent facility. Stopped through on the drive back from Alaska. Pleasantly surprised with the low day rate fee. Loved warming up on the indoor track and trying the kayak rower. Decent weight/cardio room. The pool was my favorite part though. They have something for everyone- lap pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and even a lazy river. I could have spent all day there. During my last visit to the north I really wanted to go for a swim so I thought I would drop in to the Canada Games Centre. Canada Games Centre is a large complex that consists of skating rinks, indoor running and swimming. This particular visit I only came here for the pool. In the pool area there is a 200 foot water slide, lazy river, wet and dry saunas and a 8 lane pool. These things alone make for a pretty nice pool but that's nothing compared to the view. That's right, I don't think I've ever went swimming in a public pool that had such a nice view. Instead of doing laps I wanted to just hang out in the water and stare through the glass walls out towards Whitehorse and it's surrounding mountains. To drop in for a day it cost me just over $7 bucks, seems like a pretty good deal to me. Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of swimming like I am. read more

This is a beautiful facility with a lot offered. My main complaint was always the cost however, very expensive to use on a regular basis. I used to enjoy swimming in the pool here which had a lazy river, areas for kids and a waterslides. My only concern was I seemed to always get sick (colds) after I swam here. Maybe a coincident, I dont know but I am paranoid about public swim places now. There's also rink surfaces, gymnasiums and a running track. read more

Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. She gave us a brochure of all the facilities. Allowed us to enter and look around without charging us! Great spot to exercise and see the views. Must do anytime of year. read more

This place is world class! Spectacular!! We visited during our trip to Whitehorse, on one of the rainy days. This place has the best of everything. From indoor field soccer, to basketball and other dry sports. There was a wicked track that loops the top of the facility, a weight / cardio area and more. The pools are out of this world. Seriously, no place in the Vancouver area comes close. Huge water slide, great steam and dry sauna, awesome jacuzzi tub, massive kids pool (warm), a super fun lazy river, diving board, rope swing, lap lanes, and all with panoramic views of Whitehorse. A family of six cost around $18. No joke. Unreal!! Its never busy, has lots of parking, and is located near the Alaska Hwy turn off to downtown. In the winter there are several ice rinks and indoor playground. If your in town, you must visit this facility. You will not be disappointed. It even has a Booster Juice and Subway to get reenergized before you leave. My kids loved this place. So will yours. read more
