The business is nestled in the center of downtown next door to other small business establishments . What immediately sets it apart is the small flowered arch at the entrance door. That small, but mighty, soft touch served to welcome me in prior to opening the door. Once inside, I was warmly greeted by the owner. She's a petite woman with an amazingly large personality and warmth. She was so genuine and welcoming. I was able to sample several different popcorn flavors, each as unique as the rest. Every option was gluten free, with the exception of S'Mores which was the favorite of my adult sons. I opted for the Razzleberry, Sweet Heat and Dill, yes- Dill. The razzleberry was quickly devoured on my drive home, the rest didn't last the weekend. The shop also offers small candy jellies and bottled soda, a throwback touch that was nice to see. I felt welcomed here, almost as if the flowered arch invited me in at the behest of the owner. Once inside, the flavors and options allowed me to peruse awhile. I'll definitely be back.

You can imagine how excited I was to receive a popcorn maker along with Amish Country coconut oil (dyed orange with beta carotene) and a variety of kernels as a gift. We started with the blue kernels. The plain popcorn even tasted good before I added butter and seasoning. My mother was in the middle of chemo treatments for her cancer. She was down, my brother helping me take care of her was down. I stopped by Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn, because my brother absolutely loves popcorn. I thought this would make a great treat for him Stepping inside, I noticed a huge line of customers waiting to order and get their popcorn. The workers were busy fulfilling the orders. I took this as a good sign because it wouldn't be popular, if it wasn't good. I looked at the flavors, there are quite a number to choose from both flavors one would see in any place that sells popcorn and then some more exotic ones. When it was my turn to order, I ordered a bag of regular popcorn, a bag of caramel popcorn, and a bag of oreo white chocolate. My brother loves Oreos, so I thought perfect combination! There is a number of different sizes to choose from and if you come here a lot its probably better to buy one of the tins of popcorn instead of the bag. The reason is, the price for the tinned popcorn is more expensive at first... but every time you come to refill it is a lot cheaper than bagged. I got the bags because I wanted to try the product first. The popcorn was then made fresh and poured into those bags to take home. Later that night we all watched a movie together where my brother started to have his Oreo white chocolate popcorn. He was... not a fan. He did more enjoy the regular popcorn. In the end, he had a smile on his face. Definitely was worth the extra time and money.
