I showed up in the late afternoon and the front desk person was very helpful, warm and professional. I booked a sea view room at a fair price. The room although slightly on the smaller size was well appointed. I thought the connection betweeen the bathroom and bedroom was fantastic. Basically a sliding door covers the space between the sink and the bedroom. With the door closed a mirror is above the bathroom sink. When it is open you have a full view through the bedroom and out the window to the sea. This is convenient from the bedroom side as it gives access to the sink. I did not take the breakfast at the hotel but the dining room looked spacious. The hotel as a wonderful room of cozy chairs and a mini library room. Ample tables outside along the sea with beautiful views. The hotel also sits along a pathway that follows the beach. Most convenient is the hotel is right next to the ruins. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were cycling throughout the Catalan region of Spain when we had a serious mechanical problem…read morewith our bicycle. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to help us contact bicycle shops in multiple towns to help us get our bike repaired so we didn't have to bring our vacation to an end on day 3 of 14. They helped by placing phone calls, searching the web and helping to provide information to us translated to English. The hotel also provided our group of 30 a place to celebrate at the end of two days where we had an "Experience Sharing" event before dinner. Breakfast was delightful and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was located in the center of town across the street from the Visitors Bureau and a short walk to the water.

Whatever it was it was awesome. The hotel is a nice clean place. Do not expect high class luxury. It's down to earth. They have this pretty garden to look over when you have breakfast. The room was just nice and clean. We had a view over the ocean, and yes I do LOVE the ocean. The hotel staff did recognize us each and every time we came in, that gave us a comfortable feeling. We where at home for that time being. Hotel bell aire is not far from the beach and all the bars and restaurants. L'estartit has a nice boulevard with a love of fancy bars and restaurants. The only bad thing was that everything closes at 1am?! Well that's the price u pay when u come in September! I loved the hotel I loved the beach, I did love everything about this small peaceful place, somewhere along the coast in Spain.

And if you plan to stay only a night or two, then be prepared to extend your stay or come back before leaving Spain. Walking into Les Hamaques is like coming home -- if your home were a peaceful, stylish retreat of understated elegance and French country charm in the Spanish countryside a stones throw away from a beautiful beach and stunning coastline and miles from crowds, traffic, and the stress of everyday life. Ino, Dominique and Natalie are the family you would choose if you could choose your family. They are kind and thoughtful with impeccable taste and grace, attending to your every need the way your best friends would - not because they have to but because they want to make you happy, comfortable and relaxed in their beautiful home. Need a massage after that long flight -- no problem, Natalie is amazing and the price is right. A drink more your style? The classic bar is all laid out for you to take what you want and just write it down to pay later. Relax in front of the fireplace? Check. A dip in the pool? Check. A lazy afternoon in the hammock? Check. Dinner at the local restaurants you didn't even know existed? No problem, Ino knows all the best places and will get you reservation when one does not exist. Dominique will tell you where to see the small villages without the crowds, and where to shop for antiques, local pottery, that perfect gift. Better yet, take home some of the the locally made, delicious smelling lotions and soaps from Les Hamaques or one of Natalie's unique and lovingly handmade decorations. We live in Hawaii, but Les Hamaques is truly Paradise. Do not miss it.
