For the second time in a row they attempted to short us for our bottle return. Today they actually gave us back $12.73 when we questioned how would we be getting back .73 when each can/bottle is worth .5 they decided to go back and look and said they "forgot" to add one of the receipts to our refund, which happened to be an additional $10!!!! $10 is a lot to short someone especially since the first time they gave us back $12.73, so they almost shorted us half of what was owed to us... This is the second time in a row this happened to us from the same location and they used the same excuse both times. We thought it truly was an accident the first time, but since this has occurred twice now we won't be returning. I can only imagine how many other people have not gotten the money back they were due! read more

Definitely going to find a different place, took back 8 bags of cans and only got back $11.30 which means if my math is correct each bag would only have 28 cans in it which was not the case. In my past experience with that many bags I should have gotten anywhere between $23-$28 ish not $11 that being said the staff was great just not sure they are actually giving the correct amount back read more

I have put off redeeming my cans for too long so went to this place. This is located on a very busy part of Fairport Rd. There was ample parking and no steps to go up which is a plus for me! First of all, I had just gotten 1 bag out of the car and a very nice young man came out and carries them all in for me. He proceeded to empty them and was off helping another person carry bags in. There were 2 stations for redemptions and 2 people working each station. They were fast! I walked out with my $10 plus in less than 10 minutes. They are so accommodating and I will definitely be going there with all my future returns. read more

My husband went to the Can Kings in Webster and usually these guys are great, but this time... we knew they were slammed so we were nice and said we can just leave them and come back! My husband went back 24 hours after drop off and a guy with blond hair was extremely rude to him and yelled "I'm not done, we need more time" so my husband left. They stated they would call. Almost 48 hours after drop off, I went to get the status and the same guy, yelled at me saying they were NOT ready. I asked how long it would take - he didn't have an answer.... so I said, well then I'd like my cans back because it shouldn't take 2 days to get a return back. So I took my cans and we will go elsewhere from now on. Very bad experience from the SAME person at the Bay Rd - Webster Can Kings. Not a good way to run a business.... read more

are these kids that you see working at this place don't know anything about how to run a business. The customer service is completely horrible. They're always screwing you over. I bring my grandfathers cans there because we are saving money for his chemo treatments. They are always shorting they don't know how to count clearly. I would not recommend this place to anybody when you call the phone number that they have listed it's a cell phone and they never call you back read more

Not a big fan of the Webster location. My fiancé and I got there at 5 to 7 today and they wouldn't count our cans because they close at 7. I've worked in customer service for 10 years and have always been taught that as long as the doors are still open you never refuse a customer! read more

Never taking my own cans and bottles back to Wegmans again. They help you bring in your returnables, sort them super-fast, and give you the same .05 you'd get doing it yourself...without the whole waiting-in-line-behind-some-vagrant-with-a-huge-cart-full-of-trash-picked-cans thing. Highly recommend you take your bottles here. It is much faster than bringing your returns to Wegmans and feeding them individually through the automated redemption machines, and i think they take more brands back than Wegmans*. Superior customer service here. I think they have some special days where you get more than 5 cents per bottle back. * Im not knocking Wegmans, which I love, just saying that going here works out much easier for bottle returns. . read more

Amazing owner and staff! I used to bring my Dad with me (he had Alzheimer's) and the staff used to make a big deal and give him extra attention. They made him feel special and it always brought a tear to my eye. He passed in October of 2020 and I smile each time I go there and remember fondly how wonderful they were to him. read more

Forget standing at a time consuming bottle return machine! I actually look forward to returning bottles/cans the first Tuesday of the month for .06 refund per bottle/can. Can Kings staff is polite, kind and helpful. I love the attention to detail, an employee is almost always at my car to carry in my cans before I can get to them. My 300 cans from a graduation party took maybe 5 minutes to process. Overlook the rough exterior, it's the nature of the business. Enjoy the exceptional customer service. read more

OMG ! Soooo much faster than waiting in line at grocery store and doing it yourself. These guys are pleasant, efficient, and pay you cash! I happily tip because I bring large leaf size bags of cans and bottles and I am out in minutes ! Sometimes there are local coupons were they will pay $.06 per can.
