The Boarding House/ Hotel is an old traditional building which was rebuilt/renovated incl. adding a storey a few years ago.
The interior is kept in light (bright) colors with the highlight being an over 200 years old staircase making it impossible to reach the upper floors quietly.
However, you won't hear much creaking inside the rooms due to good acoustic insulation. Rooms are spacious and furnished up to traditional German hotel star categories or better. Beds are comfortable.
Unfortunately, the shades aren't all that great and, as soon as the sun rises it will be really bright inside.
For me the biggest drawback and "star killer" was the hygiene, floors weren't mopped, and the bathroom wasn't clean.
Overall, prices are fair and, as long as you bring your own shades and cleaning material you will enjoy your stay! ;)) read more
