This is an extremely handy service for UQ students, providing all those things you really can't be stuck without at uni, like pain killers for study-induced headaches, sunscreen for days when you feel you're going to get burnt just walking between buildings and tampons for those inconvenient moments you get caught out.
However, something has to be said about the knowledgeable, but slightly socially insensitive Asian woman who owns the Campus Pharmacy. Don't go in there hoping to discreetly discuss a medical problem and walk out, dignity in tact and medication in hand. Oh no, this woman will make sure the whole pharmacy knows about it: "You got a RASH?"
Thankfully, not all the staff in there are like this, but if I'm going to discuss something delicate with a pharmacist, I'd probably go somewhere off campus. After all, it's a tiny store and is often packed with students, making privacy a little difficult. Otherwise, this is a well-stocked and well-organised pharmacy. read more
