Value is in the eye of the beholder!…read more There are deals if you look for them. This mall like many other malls nationwide, is slowly disappearing. There is even a page that posts about all the closed malls. It's on FB if you want to look for it. It's sad really, if you think about it. Where will you go when there are no more malls to go hang out on a Saturday afternoon? Or when you have teens full of energy that just need a safe and non threatening environment? Where will you go if you just want to get out of the house for a couple hours and maybe get a snack or meet a friend after work ? Bars are not the only places to hang out. Although, those are quietly disappearing too. If you'd like to keep this mall, social space, and have a place to hang out like we did before 2020 told you to stay home and pushed online, ama zon shopping on you. It was planned. Go see how much ama zon is worth now. I digress. The mall is a community center for gathering. Of course there are parks, but what about when it rains or it's too hot outside ? Come on we live in the valley. The summer can be very hot and we need to geo somewhere to cool down. Right ? The mall needs more visitors to stay alive. Stop buying online: Plus, by coming in person you support jobs. Jobs are scarce these days. Very scarce. I know several people looking for jobs. Let's not give them excuses to close down. I'm just sharing because lots of places are closing down and it's not ok. Communities thrive when small businesses and local businesses are thriving. Do you want those community to vanish or will you come support it at least on the weekends here and there ? So what do you say ? Come down for a stroll ? Let's go get lemonade or a cinnamon roll YUMMMM ! You can always come for walk after having Portos next door, too. Just saying & giving you ideas. If you agree let's be friends :) Happy New Year 2026! Happy yelping ! SYOY ! SHARE :)

It's a slightly above average mall. Better than the other mall in the area for sure, but does not…read moreeven hold a candle close to the Santa Anita Mall. But I can at least guarantee that the mall is always lively and there's plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around and across the street too. What I like best about this mall is their effort to foster community here, such as the Dia de los Muertos display or when I happened to walk pass a Bluey Xmas dance party and you can take pictures with Santa AND Bluey. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I really liked that I did that and got to spend time with my family. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if you're already here, might as well enjoy malls before more of them perish.

The lot needs a little repair, but the space is enough to accommodate parking for all businesses. One thing too is that this location has personality. Let me explain. Today I observed the usual ancient Asian guys sitting in front of the donut shop having their loud conversation (I thought they were screaming at me), a middle eastern guy smoking in the parking lot making a business deal on his cell phone, and get this, a random lady was washing her Tesla in the parking lot. What? Lol. Also, I believe there are a couple of days during the week when 2-4 older retired guys just sit in the parking lot with lawn chairs and drinking coffee (and probably booze) while listening to the radio, but I didn't see them today.

Landfill morphin time!…read more The Heights at West Covina Shopping Center is a 340,000 square foot retail center located next to Big League Dreams Sports Park. This is where the former BKK landfill used to be which is now morphed into this shopping center. The stores in this shopping center include: Target, Chronic Tacos, Fresh N Easy, El Pollo Loco, Panda Express, Round Table Pizza, Wendy's, Quickly, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Home Depot, PetSmart, Staples, GameStop, Verizon Wireless, and Happy Nails. Keep in mind that the four-way intersection here can be one of the worst. Some people don't follow stop signs. There's also people that make "invisible stop signs" on lanes where they actually have the right of way to just go. Now everyone gets confused. It's never really that busy but the whole caterpillar line of cars extending from the stoplights makes it seem so. It's best to have patience otherwise you'd come out of there pretty angry. If there is extreme traffic and I really need to exit, I just go all the way out to the far end of the shopping center (where Ruby Tuesdays used to be) and make a right from there. Overall, this is a decent shopping center with a bit of variety. It's viciously local to me so it's very convenient!
