The management, security, and professionalism of this property is insanely terrible. My roommates and I have lived here for just a couple months, and have had multiple problems with getting anything solved, taken seriously, or respected. We have found random maintenance men in our apartment who refuse to give us their name after stating that we would like to be home for anything that needs to be fixed. We are paying for security, however when 2 men tried to break into our house we were told that they cannot do anything to stop bad things from happening in the outside world, and that they would not take it seriously because that was a job for the cops. We called and dealt with it with the cops, we were simply inquiring what their protocol is for things like this, and we were completely dismissed. The managment at this complex is beyond negligent, and only care that you make them money. read more

My son lived on campus 880 last year and my daughter moved in this year. I have read a lot of negative reviews about 880 and I'm sure everyone has their own experiences. My experience is based specifically on working with Natty Bhumnugkij, the Operations Manager. She was a pleasure to work with, takes the time to listen and understand your concerns, and is a warm voice and an advocate. Natty goes above and beyond to help applicants, residents and their families. People like her are hard to find and deserve recognition, which is why I'm writing this review. Dominic and Madison have done a wonderful job making sure that this place is a community and that all the tenants are friendly and comfortable with each other. The units are very spacious and I got put with house mates that are very similar to me. The management of this property is terrible. Delayed responses, no sense of urgency to anything. They do nothing about folks living in the apartment who may be hoarders and make the entire apartment smell or make it unhygienic. If you want to sublease, they respond 20 days after someone shows interest making it impossible to get out of the lease. Don't stay here if you can find another place. read more

This is for any parent out there that is looking for somewhere safe for their child to live on their first experience away from home. Anywhere has to be better than here. Its dirty, cramped and when we moved in there wasn't even a doorknob. They explained it was because if there wasn't a doorknob then roommates couldn't lock each other out. The room across from my son's didn't even have a door. St. George makes you sign this ridiculous lease saying that no drugs, alcohol etc., no bbqs on the decks, tenants can't engage in illegal activity, I can go on. Every single thing they say is prohibited in that lease is what happens. You can smell the marijuana from six blocks away even at the main office in Santa Barbara. Drugs and alcohol are abundant, partying is everywhere and there is no one who cares. So if you want your child in an environment that is one long party, look no further, this is your place. If you're looking for a place where they will be safe, look elsewhere. read more

Let me start by saying that the door of my daughter's room had no knob. Let me repeat that...there was NO KNOB on the door to her bedroom. Just an empty hole. She was told that she should have known that a doorknob was needed, as it was stated in the move-in information. I reviewed the documents again and find no mention of this anywhere. On a positive note, "Grandpa and Grandma," the resident managers are delightful, and Adam takes his management responsibilities seriously. They are the only bright spots in an otherwise shady operati. The closest analogy I can find for my daughter's very hip-looking apartment is putting perfume and lipstick on a pig. The apartment is very cheaply appointed...For perspective, think IKEA meets Target and they have a Walmart baby...cheap furniture, cheap hardware and cheap bathroom fixtures. The kitchen cabinets seem somewhat more sturdy than everything else. I'm confused as to how the management company thinks that six students in one apartment with a smaller-than-usual stove and a pub table for dining with 3 chairs is adequate, and two students sharing a desk is also okay. All in all, the management company is looking to make a quick buck off of college students and their families, and is doing a great job of being SLUM LORDS. Parents, don't be fooled by their slick marketing and staged pictures. Stay far away from this one! Just...no. read more

The "modern style" furniture is cheap, as the fake wood warps, stainless steel literally oxidizes, changing color, dishwasher breaks constantly, fire alarms go off all the time without a fire, housing wiring allows for some power and cable units to work or not and a tiny gas stove/oven usable for only one person with no ventilation fan. The term the walls have ears applies as everyone can hear everything from room to room and from apartment to apartment. Though management claims silent hours are enforced, there are not and noise levels are intolerable. The HD Tvs and sound bars are poorly attached to the walls. There is only one small round eating table with three barstools, like the ones you see in bars or waiting areas for one person to use. The bathrooms have the smallest stand-up showers where ones hand can't extent to wash their back. There is only one small medicine cabinet. Finally, there is a tiny toilet that shakes and wobbles with a flushing mechanism that works half of the time. The ventilation is poor and mold accumulates quickly. The rooms look like homeless shelters. You get a bed, a desk and a storage stand out locker to put your stuff in. I call it a locker because the entire furniture piece is make to look like like the front of a high school gym cage locker with a locking mechanism that you can use your own lock, combination or key, to lock and unlock your stuff. The lighting is sparse led ceiling. There is one heater in the house down stairs. Parking is $1000 extra and some maintenance repairs cost money. The worst part is the management company, but that is explained in another post. I really liked the apartment and weekly amenities provided like movie night, barbecues and cupcake day. It was awesome that they provided free breakfast every Sunday morning. Overall, I would not recommend anyone to stop on by and give this place a try. read more

I was given a tour of one of their apartments and there was the biggest stench of weed I've ever smelled. The apartment next door had their door wide open with multiple speakers blaring. Alcohol bottles were stacked in front of many of the windows. Tour guide was friendly which is the only reason this is even getting 1 star. If you're looking to party, this is the residential area for you. If you're looking to get some sleep at night you're better off looking somewhere else. read more

Yeah, it may be under new management but it functions just as bad, if not worse than before! Your request to the office for anything: maintenance repairs, unwanted wild animals in the apartment, a simple fix for decent WiFi in the study pod so you don't have to study in a noisy apartment, all go completely ignored! The appliances are crap and you receive ONE fridge for SIX people! It is ridiculous how much rent is considering there are six people total in one apartment. Inconsiderate neighbors play music and scream so loudly and nothing is usually done about it. If they are asked to turn it down, they do for about 5 minutes until management is gone. I wish I NEVER EVER came to live here and hope people don't fall for the fake 5-star reviews written by bribed people. read more

Campus 880 does not have nearly the amount of activities that beach city does. We are required to pay the same activity fees yet it is almost a complete waste. Beach city has new games, breakfast, and prizes almost every week while campus 880 hardly puts any time into its residents. read more

The management here is absolutely awful. I repeatedly had to ask them to fix SIMPLE things in my apartment after putting in maintenance requests. They tried to tell me I didn't pay a whole month of rent when it was literally on my bank statement!! WORST PART: THERE WAS SO MUCH BLACK MOLD IN MY APARTMENT. I have asthma and this made my respiratory issues extremely bad. Other complaints: my friend's laundry caught on fire (which could have been a severe fire hazard had he not noticed right away), some places don't have doorknobs, my apartment was not ready to move into upon move in date, and many people never received desks. THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS CORRUPT AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN OR RE STAFFED IMMEDIATELY. read more

If we could 1 star would be generous... and we would rate it starless! We signed a lease for our daughter in July of 2016 with at the time manager of the property. The managers changed at least 5 times in the less then 1 year my daughter resided at Campus 880. My daughters privacy was compromised when tours to potential students and family were given while she was either in the shower, or asleep. Same for maintenance issues, while they claim they called to gain access, (6 girls living together and not ONE received a call) they would enter to do work while one or the other were asleep. They put 6 girls in a unit with a very small refrigerator, a stove that was for 2 or 3 people at most, which resulted in them having to store their food items in bags on the floor. Our biggest complaint is due to the change of management, the need to let other young students run the office in exchange for rent, the unprofessionalism of what seems like a large professional corp on Isla Vista, is nothing but a sham of taking advantage of students and parents money. My daughter vacated premise in May a few months shy of her lease end which we paid completely for, there was a VACATE INSPECTION taken nothing anything she might be liable for as the remainder of the girls stayed on. In this inspection report (taken by a former employee who I might add, left Campus 880 citing unethical practices which he is willing to back up in court) my daughter would be responsible for some light painting nearest her bed , mattress cleaning and a share of her cleaning of unit at end. Since the other 5 girls were remaining for an additional 3 months, we paid for cleaning of the unit on our own, had that inspected as well, to release her of whatever happened thereafter. This was noted and agreed upon at her departure. In July the bulk of her $1800 deposit was eaten up between fees that were again unethical, (Parking knowing that she was gone), a broken sofa, light switch replacements, light bulbs, painting of entire unit, mattress cleaning, and finally a DEEP clean of the unit. ) We understood that the remainder of her lease JUNE and 1/2 OF JULY was to come out of the deposit leaving most of it as a refund. To our dismay this was not the case and here it is, nearly October and we are still dealing with these issues. Every time we call , we are given another excuse. As a parent, and certainly as a student, while this looks like the most HIP/MODERN building to live in at Isla Vista, PLEASE STAY AWAY until they get their act together. It is a company that monopolizes in any way or form they can leaving students struggling and parents like us fighting for what is rightfully ours. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. We pay a lot of money for our son to attend college here and live at this campus. The management staff at 880 are careless and unresponsive. It's a loud atmosphere with several police calls a week for disturbances. Lots of drinking and drugs going on there. Security is weak and the 880 rules that are listed on your lease are not enforced. If I could give this place a zero star I would. This place sucks. Don't live here. They don't care about anything the residents say. There furniture is so cheap. I broke a mirror and told the company and they told me it would be $300 to do a replacement. I then went and bought the exact mirror for $92 but the management couldn't even give me a measurement of it. There lazy!! It is extremely hard to sleep and study during the week because our upstairs neighbors were moving furniture around all hours of the night, banging on the doors, walking up the stairs super loud and that's on them but we tried to complain to the RAs and they couldn't care less. Then when we would throw parties at our place they would come to our door an get mad at us at 10 pm on a weekend?? even though they wouldn't yell at our neighbors at 9 pm on a school night because that was the RAs house. read more

They try to scum you and get your money, and they are not helpful at all. They are also very unorganized and to be honest they're assholes. I needed camera footage to prove that I saw this girl keying my car, but the managers were VERY unhelpful and said that specific camera was shut off. Overall, they are messed up people and I did not enjoy my experience with them. Also, the internet sucks and it is always loud. People always blast music and it's not a study environment. PARENTS BEWARE: Inconsistent, Unprofessional, Over-Priced! Leasing at Campus 880 has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences that I am not even sure where to start. Upon move-in, the apartment was FILTHY. After walking around for just a couple minutes my feet were black. There were hairs in the bathtub, tar and dirt on the floors, dust on the blinds, water marks on all the fixtures in the bathroom, cobwebs in the windows, and the stove was covered in food stains... so much for the $75 cleaning fee they charge all 6 tenants. When I brought this to the property managers attention via email, he replied claiming the unit had been professionally cleaned the day prior, but when I mentioned it to him in person, he admitted the service did not do a good job and that the place was still, in fact, dirty. He still refused to send in someone to clean again unless I chose to pay for the service myself. It is nearly impossible to have any maintenance work done. The lock on the front door was nearly impossible to lock unless you threw your entire body weight up against the door to push it into place. This meant most of the time we thought we were locking the door, we were not. I asked if this could be fixed as it was posing a concern for the security of my apartment, but I was told just to keep pressing it into place. Real professional. Also beware that as far as roommate compatibility surveys go, they are completely disregarded. If you want to get out of your lease, you not only have to find your own replacement, communicate with the new tenant as if you were the property manager yourself, and pay some real heavy fees. As far as roommate compatibility surveys go, they seem to be completely disregarded. This apartment complex is rowdy, dirty, and over-priced. This year they increased rent by over 20%, only half of which was avoidable for releasing tenants if they resigned their contracts before half of the initial lease was even through. Zero STARS!!! Don't rent here, they screw you when you move out. They charged for so many things after the boys had cleaned and moved out. They charge for typical wear and tear on an apartment. We were told they automatically repaint each apartment after the year ends. But then they charge us over $3600 for painting. Total rip off. And to top it off 2 years later they send the amount we owed to a collection service without ever sending us a bill. My friends and I moved to campus 880 last summer and we were all really excited because the apartment looked so nice and modern. But this place is SO overpriced and all the stuff here is made so cheaply. We had a wobbly kitchen table all year and someone came to fix it and he said there was no way to because it was drilled in the ground and it's the designers of the apartment's fault. The wifi doesn't work. Laundry machines are always broken. Me and all my roommates literally had to drive to the laundry mat and wait on our laundry all year. Our mailbox keys didn't work for THREE MONTHS. They took the keys to try to "fix them" and never gave them back to us. If we wanted to check the mail, we had to sit and wait by the mailboxes all afternoon for the mailman. Our apartment was broken into and we had a lot of electronics stolen and there was no camera facing our door to catch the thieves. Some great security you got there 880! They change management every few months and every time it gets worse. One of the first on site managers of campus 880 "quit" last summer after he got in trouble for sleeping with one of the 18 year old residents and trying to get with another one later. The current management sucks. They don't care about residents and are straight up rude. They think it's funny to harass and threaten the kids living here and are on a power trip. I've seen soooo many situations that could have been handled better by the adults running this place. They just barge into the apartment whenever they want to. Like seriously the stuff that goes on here is ridiculous. Your security deposit will be stolen. $400 was taken out of my security deposit for apartment painting so they could "paint" the apartment because my roommates smoked in the room. Even though I don't smoke at all and never smoked in that place once, I was charged for it. In any other apartment complex outside of IV, these situations with horrible management and owners wouldn't be tolerated but because everyone that lives here is a college student, they get away with it. Moved in on a sublease for 3 months and was displeased the entire 3 months I lived there. Management is rude and belittles you as a person; as if they're better than you. You will be treated like a child. I felt as though I was living with strict parents; with constant knocking on my door telling me to be quiet. Also don't plan on having guests over or getting lucky on your late night adventures in isla vista. I tried bringing two girls home with me and was threatened with a fine for not notifying them of my "one guest limit". I had two emotional support animals that were certified with paperwork and a doctors recommendation; I was threatened with a 3 day notice to provide more proof of their eligibility as emotional support animals or I would be evicted. I had to consult with my attorney who ensured me that they had proper documentation and that St. George and Associates was in the wrong, causing another headache. Lastly, as I moved out and the rest of the house remained in their leases for the summer, I get my check back for half the deposit I put down for work I know they did not do because my other housemates are still there and have yet to see anything be done pertaining to what I was billed for. Looks are very deceiving for this place and I know, by getting to know the majority of the tenants who lived here at Campus 880, that this place is not even on the last options of places to rest your head in isla vista. You would have a way better college experience, elsewhere.... and this was 3 months. read more

If you're thinking about living here please read this. Worst decision I ever made was living at Campus 880. I thought 880 looked so nice on the internet and in person, until I moved in and was informed about all the strict rules I had to abide by. I felt like I was living in a college dorm with all the RAs policing the apartment complex. The reason I chose to live off campus was to experience living off campus! The experience I had was to say the least traumatizing. When I moved in I thought my roommate was a really nice girl until she began to sadistically torture me. It got to the point where I couldn't even leave my room because I was terrified to leave this girl alone with my things. I called the management of 880 every other day begging them to please do something about this and I got the same reply each time. After each and every time I talked to them I felt as if they didn't really care about my problem. That I was just embarrassing myself each time I called. This girl had stolen checks out of the mail from my other housemate and the management knew about it. Fully knowing she was a problem, they did nothing. I tried moving out but they required me to find someone to take my spot and pay an immense amount of money on top of that. I told them at this point I'd like to move rooms. Yet nothing happened. After many many many calls more than I should've called them, management finally decided to remove her from my room and place her in the unit below mine. Weeks later, a girl is in my apartment crying and when I walk in she comes up to me and says that she's is the other girls new roommate. This crying girl was at the point of wanting to sue 880 because she couldn't handle my old roommate anymore. She said that the landlord told her that I was the problem and that I bullied this girl when in fact I did no such thing except be the victim. The fact that the management had the balls to place this girl in another unit knowing she was a problem is disgusting. The girl who had come to me crying had said she was traumatized as well from this experience. The only thing I can blame is the lack of support I received from the 880 management. This experience could have been prevented for the both of us except management did not care. All they want to do is extort as much money from you as possible. This place was the worst. All of the furniture was super cheap. My dining table was made of wax, I've seen couches with collapsed arm rests, and the walls are paper thin and half of what's inside the units when you move in don't even work. My apartment had blemishes and chips all over the floor, my bathroom mirror was cracked and the WiFi is TERRIBLE and the washer and driers will either eat all of your change or they're broken, and this happens often. If you imagine putting around 5-6 people into a crammed apartment suitable for MAYBE 3, that's what you're paying or. If you're worried about getting your security deposit back, forget it. I cleaned my space and the entire kitchen and living room area inside and out and I was still charged $375 for cleaning, plus $45 for a clogged toilet apparently plus other things. Management is super difficult to work with and they won't give you the time of day. I had my TV stolen from here and they still haven't gotten back to me on the status (mind you they have cameras everywhere) and I filed a police report. They are constantly looking for ways to make a quick buck. You do not matter here, at all. Looks are completely deceiving, look elsewhere. read more

We moved our freshman son into one of their apartments after someone vacated early to transfer to another school. As a parent, I was happy to find the staff attentive, and the property clean. Although I read reviews that said the internet was inoperable, I was shown that a new router had been installed in my son's apartment. The 1-bedroom came with a TV and soundbar, which was a pleasant surprise. And we were also surprised that all utilities are included in the rent. Wow, if I could give this place negative stars, I would. Had the worst experience living here, and I even had a single and lived alone. If you put in a maintenance request, don't expect to hear back for a month or so. The management office is a total joke ran by kids; if you try calling they will most likely not answer or get back to you. Not to mention through out the year there were several burglaries, and fights. The walls are paper thin, so expect to get to know your neighbors really well. Oh, and treat the furniture like its made of glass, because you most likely won't be getting your security deposit back. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE RAN BY CLOWNS!!! St. George is a complete rip off. I would post the ridiculous invoice if I knew how but will share my pain with you. Mind you my roomates and I hired a professional cleaning crew that cleaned the apartment before we left. Campus 880 charges against the security deposit $405 Apartment Cleaning, $65 Bedroom Screen (it was fine when we left), $125 Living Room binds (cheapest blinds ever one by one fell off each time we opened door) $40 Mattress Cleaning (I had a 4" mattress pad on the bed), $550 Broken Tiles (please tell me where, none broken in my room), and the real joke $1,420 Apartment Painting (that is down right illegal). It is a shame shame shame they are allowed to operate in the IV community stealing from students. I am not taking this I need my money, and I will be pursuing legal action but was so angry when I just got $264.32 check out of my $1800 deposit I had to vent and warn you all DON'T DO IT!!!
