The menu specializes in shrimp, but I ordered tamales, partly to see if they had them, as many places with tamales on the menu are always out. They were there. Moderately small, with a reasonable amount of pork, and a very light masa that was tasty when hot but became dry and crumbly as it cooled. An honest tamale, though. Came a la carte, but I ordered rice and beans on the side. Delicious rice, ok beans. I gave them an extra star for having sopapillas for dessert. Very light dough, puffed up but not so much that you could tear it open and put the honey inside. I drizzled it on the outside instead. For yes, it came with a squeeze bottle of honey, and cinnamon already sprinkled on it. A delicious sopapilla. But then I took the extra star away again because the restrooms were broken. The women's had an out of order sign on the door, and the men's WAS out of order. The flush handle didn't work. It wasn't attached to anything. I told this to the server, but no response.

Yes, yes, yes, and YES. I know all the cheese in the photos might be deceiving, but I promise you…read morethis is Mexican food you need to try. (I personally looooove me some CHEESE.) My favorite part is the portions. You get so much food!!! But what keeps me coming back is the vermicelli. I could literally drink it in a Hydroflask 24/7. I'm telling you-delicious. Most of the plates let you choose vermicelli and beans, but I always ask for double the vermicelli (as you can see my plate drowning in it's heaven). The Chile rellenos were the best I've ever had. We like putting the salsa on our main dishes as well so ask for extra! I recommend ordering a bit of everything and sharing because you need to try as much as possible. Growing up in the valley, there's not many authentic restaurants, so when I visit, I always have to go to Mexico City. Oh and FYI they only take cash! They do have an ATM there though!
