Worst buying experience of my life . Spent $282,000 on new thor tuscany motor home on August 30,2018. Sales people lied about condition and hid poorly done repairs.. Drove home to california. In storage for three weeks waiting for appointment for repairs at camping world valencia, calif. It has sat there for 12 weeks with nothing but finger pointing between camping worlds about needed repairs. Multiple conversations with thor concierge and so far nothing but lip service. Making us physically I'll. So much for promises and goodwill and our retirement dream. read more

We brought our RV here for repairs to the generator one week prior to an event July 4th weekend that we needed it for. 6 days later it did not seem that anything had been done. July 4th comes and goes and supposedly our part is on it's way from Washington State by Pony Express. At the beginning of week 3 the service agent assigned to our RV says they're going to have to try Amazon as a last resort. I looked on Amazon and there it was. As a prime member I could have ordered it 2 weeks ago and had it in 2 days! At the end of week 3 and almost $600 later we had to pull the fuse on the generator to keep it from priming and replace the fuse every time we needed to use it. I called the General Manager and he was very nice but we live too far to keep taking it back and why would we trust them now anyway? I only gave it a 2 star because the people that worked there were polite. read more

Purchased Winnebago ERA70A 100k +\_. Year and a half ago. Have had continuous problems with dealer. Vehicle was not clean when delivered. Less than half tank gas. Person delivering was not knowledgeable about vehicle. All screens were falling out. Infotainment center did not have Rand SIM card. Received card six months later and it was blank. Dan investor (mgr) said it's too late to rectify. Stay away from Camping World of Tallahassee. read more

Stay far away for this company!! I have never in my life been as disappointed in a company as I am in Camping World!! My husband and I recently purchased a used camper from Camping World. We bought it for our adult special needs son to have his own privacy but be within arms length of us when he needs or wants us. We were told that it had a small leak but they would repair the leak and any damage before we left the lot with it. Of course, being the trusting person I am, I believed every LIE the salesperson told us! We are now having to gut an entire section and redo it completely, on top of having to scrape all the CRAP they covered the leak with, to do it the right way. Of course, it's all our fault because we bought it "As Is". A lesson learned the hard way, of course! I will never trust Camping World to sell me or my family anything else again and if you do, Good Luck to you! read more

We brought our RV to Camping World on 1/15/18 because of a fairly simple repair needed. We were told that our vehicle would be attended to shortly. More than 45 minutes later a technician began work--on the wrong problem! If we hadn't decided to check on the work and clarified what work needed to be done we would have left without a repaired vehicle. The repair actually took about 15-20 minutes. A total of two hours later we left. This business needs to be better managed and focus less on trying to sell repairs that a customer dies not want. read more

Purchased a used motorhome here in April. With some initial bumps as far as quality I had to take it back to Camping World for service. I cannot say enough good about Haley Herring and her ability to communicate to get the job done and to treat me as a customer in a friendly professional and civilized manner. First service experience with CW of Tallahassee. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't perfect by any stretch. I think they need an overhaul of their business processes and possibly some improved leadership. However, Jennifer Hall was extremely understanding of my frustrations and did all she could to help me out. One of the items of my list hadn't been repaired when we walked around checking and she got a tech (at closing time) to stop and come to the parking lot and make the 10 minute repair. Very nice of both of them. Still begs the question of why it wasn't fixed in the 10 days they had it and checked off the list as repaired. Victoria Randle was also very understanding, helpful and professional. I see all the negative reviews and completely understand. There are good helpful people at CW. Sometimes that gets lost in their poor process management. read more

Worst experience ever I brought a new Winnebago travato 2017. The electric awning will come out when you go over a bump this has happen three times while I been driving. The last time it hit a truck and fell off on a very busy street fortunately it did not fall on a car and no one was hurt. It's been in a repair shop four different times. No one including Winnebago seems to care. I wonder how many awnings do they want to replace until it's fixed correctly read more

This place is a joke. Staff are rude and very unprofessional. I ordered 4 tires and scheduled a bearing service for 9am today. I was told 1.5 hours for work to be done. It is now going on 4 hours and it's still not complete. I finally asked and was just told another hour. Complete bullshit. I will never step foot out here again read more

If I could rate this place a 0 I would. The sales manager who I originally spoke with would not return my call so I decided to engage with a salesman. The salesman quoted me the MSRP of 90k+ yet the their own website said 65k. I shrugged that off and continued to ask more information. The salesman said he would take my questions and call me back within the hour...never heard from him again. Three days later I purchased an RV from a very informative salesman at a local dealer. We had our 2018 Jayco 34RSBS at Midway and let me tell you, Haley Herring is in my opinion the biggest asset the Service Dept. has!! We have had our camper for a month and it needed some warranty work on it! I wasn't real happy about that but I have to say they (CW) took care of us. I wasn't a very happy camper for a day or two due to the fact I had just bought a new camper and it was back for work on it but, all is well now!! Haley took very good care of us and kept us posted on what was going on during the repairs......nothing serious was wrong with our Jayco....if you need repairs just make sure you talk to Haley Herring, she will take care of you in an very professional way!! I experienced the best service from CW Tallahassee! They replaced my AC.....they ordered the unit on Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday around 2:05 pm they installed it and I was picking up my camper at 4:30 pm on the same day! From the parts manager to the service adviser everyone did awesome and they thanked me for giving them an opportunity to do the repairs!!!!!! I will return for other services as needed! If you are able to drive to ANY other camper dealership besides this one, I would highly recommend you do so. There are issues with every part of this store. It began with our salesman. When trying to decide which camper to purchase, he told us we needed to hurry up and make a decision because there were 12 other people in line. He made promises of items that he would throw in when he was trying to make the sale. When the deal was done, he said he couldn't stand behind those promises anymore because we had gotten such a good deal. My daughter has a speech delay and he made jokes about the way she talks. He also got irritated at US because he found a ding on our old camper that he didn't notice when he quoted the trade in value. It was nothing that we tried to hide. We handed him the keys and weren't even around when he examined our trade in. Two weeks after purchasing our camper, we took it a couple of hours away for our first trip. The front jacks didn't work. My husband called the service department and she told us there was nothing they could do. We would have to pay to have someone come fix it. Two months later and three trips back to camping world (one hour one way) and it's still not fixed. My husband tried to call the service guy we've been dealing with TWICE last week to see if the jack part had finally arrived because we were coming that way on a camping trip and it would save us an extra trip later. He never returned my husband's calls but wanted to keep the camper when we came by the next day. We didn't have time to let him fix it at that time of day (would have arrived earlier if we had known). We made plans to make ANOTHER trip and killed time around Tallahassee waiting on it to be fixed today only to come pick it up and the jack is STILL not fixed because the wrong jack was ordered. When the salesman came out to talk to us, he told me that at least he got it washed. Um I didn't come all the way here and waste a day and half of a tank of gas to get my camper washed. I wish these were are only issues, but they are not. I could keep going because it has been one thing after another. Unfortunately we just purchased this camper but when it's time to upgrade to another model, I will drive to another state before this store gets my business again. We are so disappointed. read more

-1. I bought a new camper and once I got it home I discovered that it had damage on the roof along with two holes in the top. I have made several trips trying to get them to repair and warranty their work with no success. They gave me my camper back with two additional holes where the factory caulking had dried and will not even repair them.Service person told me he would not do any work even warranty because I threatened to file a complaint. If you want a Rv you would be advised to shop elsewhere! read more

This should be a -00 rating. Had to have insurance claim work on our motorhome that we did not buy from Camping World. What a joke of place this is. Parts take weeks to come in or miraculously appear when you push back. Then it is weeks to get an answer on repair progress. The gal that takes the service department / repair calls is such a liar and rude as the day is long and my insurance agent agreed 100%. They had the MH for 5 months total, broke 2 floor tiles, let the battery die, messed up the electric shades on the windshield, and left the blinds up to the point our newly upholstered sofa started to fade. These people are totally unprofessional, can't keep their stories straight because of the lies they tell and could not care less about the customer. My sister is in the market for a new 5th wheel and we told her to stay away from Camping World Tallahassee! Never again for us! read more

I went in to have the vent hood replaced and was told that the hot water heater needed some cleaning around it, and also refrigerator, as it could be hazardous. They offered me a to do a service check and cleaning. I, being a widow and not able to do all the checking and service agreed to it. When I arrived back and parked I notice that where the batteries were stored did not look like it had been opened. I checked and the batteries were dry. This was one of the items on the list that was checked and stated that it had been serviced. Eventually Cameron, one of the tech reps, came to where the RV was parked and doubled checked everything, including the batteries. That is great customer service! Thank you Cameron for being polite and saving a customer for life. Great customer service. read more

I am very disappointed in the Camping World service I have received 'after the sale'. The people assigned to me in the service department will not return calls, do not follow up on parts orders unless driven, and take months (yes, MONTHS!) to accomplish warranty work. From what I have seen, the service department doesn't seem to care if you're happy or not. If I could get my money back from the purchase, I would take my chances elsewhere. read more

After a year of ownership of our 2016 Outback, I am still blown away by the service we continue to receive from Camping World of Tallahassee. We've come to realize that no travel trailer, fifth wheel, or motorhome is perfect when you buy it. Much of the warranty period is spent correcting manufacturing defects/workmanship issues. My wife and I didn't understand that at first but, now we do. Having this dealership support us through the warranty period has been crucial. This is where Camping World of Tallahassee has really shined. Our 35 foot Keystone Outback is now "perfect". It has been through several visits to the service department where it has come back better each time. They have taken great care in correcting and improving our travel trailer. They clean up throughly after each visit and make sure the job is done right. I'd also like to comment that the staff at CW Tallahassee take pride in what they do. It is easy to get frustrated with the purchase of any new RV. It's also easy to quickly leave a negative review (I was one of those people). Have patience, remember that you're dealing with a person, and be willing to work with the team of people who are there to help. Proud to recommend this store to anyone looking to purchase an RV. read more

Nice people. But: We negotiated a price and were supposed to get an RV with the Onan diesel generator. When we flew in from Texas to pick up the RV, it had a propane generator instead (worth considerably less). We were tired, it was late, so we took the RV anyway. ......Bought the extended, high dollar, we'll fix everything warranty.. Turns out a rust spot in the sink wasn't covered (mind you we only had 3,000 miles on the RV, of which 1300 was on it when we bought it). When we sold the vehicle and applied for a refund of the unused warranty, they first "never got" the paperwork. After we heard nothing after a month, I called and got everything handled by email. I was told it could take up to 6 weeks (!?!) for the refund. Fifty-two days later I called to see where the refund was. After awhile, I was called back and was told the check was going to be cut the next day. Still took another five days for the check to arrive. So, no, in spite of the fact that they were very nice, I would not do business with them again. read more

Jim R. Do not, repeat do not use the Camping world in Midway. Our issues started when we purchased our 5th wheel camper. When we picked up our camper someone had been paid to clean and detail the camper. Every part of the inside was dirty. The floors, frig.,stove and all the cabinets. We took it in stride and just cleaned it ourselves. A month later I had some roof damage. An insurance claim was made and the service department told me it would take 2 weeks for the parts to come in and a week to install. After 4 weeks I started calling once a week for updates. After numerous calls to the service writer Cameron, the service manager and even the store manager I finally had to go down in person only to find out that not only had the parts not come in yet but my camper with several holes in the roof was left outside with no cover. I was told the parts would be here within the week. 2 months later only some of the parts arrived. These parts were installed and I brought the camper home unfinished. After several more weeks I was told my ladder would be here in a day and to bring the camper back so they could install it. I told Cameron when the ladder was in his hand to call me and I would then bring it in. A day later he called me to say that the ladder was on back order and he could not get one. This was the final straw. I went down and got my money back. I went online and found the ladder I was told was on back order. I ordered it and received it within 2 days. I have never had seen so many issues and such a don't give a sh-t attitude from the service department and store manager. I heard so many horror stories about that store after I purchased our camper but I could not believe it could be that bad. It is and much worse. To be promised something then lied to, to your face and refuse to return phone calls, I find this troubling. For management to let this go on is unthinkable. Thankfully I did find the camping world in Dothan Alabama to be top notch. Yes it was well worth the 2 hour drive not to have to deal with the trouble in Midway. read more

Issue came up, stopped by CW, part ordered, Dan checked out rig, gave estimate of the hours and cost needed for the repair, contacted me on backorder shipping date then new shipping date, returned my call after store hours said part should have arrived but had not seen it and would check next day, next day called and set up appointment, appointment day I arrived 30 min early, taken in early, fixed per quote as to time and $. We bought a brand new 5th wheel in June of 2017 and had a satellite dish for Dish Network installed. We brought the unit back a few months late and advised the refrigerator was making a loud noise and was not cooling properly. It also would not seem to switch over to electric from LP. They replaced only 2 of the 4 fans. They said they didn't know it had 4 fans and said if it started again to bring it back. 10 months later we returned as we had changed our service from Dish Network to Direct TV and needed the satellite changed. The refrigerator was making a loud noise as well. The Service adviser stated it would probably only take an hour to change the satellite, as all the wiring was done and Direct TV had programmed the receivers for the 5th wheel the day before. We received a call 3 days later from the tech 'Mike Smith'. (I think they lied to me about his last name when I asked for it) He stated that he was paid by the job and it was a minimum 3 hours. We told him that they had already done all the wiring 10 months before. He didn't seem to be concerned and stated he was paid by the job, not by the hour and the 3 hours would be minimum because he had to program the receivers. We again stated that Direct TV had programmed the receivers for the unit the day before we brought it there. His response was 'well, they don't always work'. Imagine that, Direct TV doesn't know how to program their own receivers! He then insisted that we come in and sign an affidavit that we would pay the 3 hours, before they would start the job. We then spoke to Linda Salis, whose card says she is a 'Sales Adviser', but told us she was the 'acting' General Manager. We paid $399 for the satellite 10 months prior, but she stated that now it was $599. She was rude and arrogant. read more

they installed my fifth wheel backwards! being new to fifth wheel campers i didn't realize it until the next morning. after i drove 200 miles home. all the salesman kept saying was this guy installed hundreds of them. after i sent pictures and called them they refunded the labor for the install. Then time to make the first payment and we have no payment book or no information on the bank. After 3 phone calls and of course "it wasn't there fault" we got in touch with the bank and they never received the paperwork. got that straighten out. no i would not recommend this place to anyone read more
