They made me an offer over about 20 pictures of the inside, then increased it by $1500.00 to let them take it to Tallahassee, and thryveoukd have my check ready to pick up, and once I drove over 2 hours to get there, they told me they could only give me 30% of what they previously offered me, thinking I was desperate to sell it, then won't give me a timeframe of when they can get it back to me messing up the sale I had pending in PC. We have a 33 foot 2007 Keystone Bullet travel trailer. 2018 a tree fell on our camper from a neighbors yard. Camping World and our insurance worked together and our entire roof was replaced. Good job. No issues. Cool. Same year we had a blow out and the tire blowout that took out all the electronics and propane lines out. Again insurance covered it. Insurance cover $12k worth of work and never totaled out an $18k rig. I will not understand this but we moved on. When we picked up the camper after the extensive work that was done Camping World acted bothered that we wanted to check out the camper. My husband wanted to test the hood light over the stove and the representative told him that the light bulb was out and that he could purchase the light inside. Um, ok. Each time we dropped off the camper Camping World has the camper no less than 3 months. Two years later we have a leak in our roof. Well Camping World replaces the roof but since we didn't have it serviced yearly it was not their fault. Why would we have a camper serviced every year if we lose it for 3 months at a time? So, we take the camper to get a bunch of stuff done including the roof leak. Do not want them to touch the damage inside because they quoted us 80 service hours (b/c of the way they replaced the roof from the tree but not their fault b/c we didn't have it serviced last year). $145 x 80 is $11,600 which is almost done what we paid for the rig. Just fix the hole and we will move on. So... $1,473.71 to fix the leak Bathroom lights not working, outdoor light not working, under cabin lights not working Correction: replaced 2 light bulbs b/c that is all we had in stock. Note: dropped the camper of Sept 19. Picked it up Dec 18th. $188.08 Replace door latch: $84.49 Propane stove not working: $296.47 Note: when we had a blowout they replaced all lines and the stove had never worked since therefore insurance paid and we paid for the stove to work. Camping World never tested the regulator. We had to buy propane at Camping World today to test the stove. Replace bathroom door knob: $67.50 Replace outdoor speaker: speaker $34.20, diagnostic $67.50, labor $135 for $250.86 Replace outdoor compartment latches: parts $6.99, labor 101.25 Tire replacement $270 (no complaints about this). Total: $3509.89 Our A/c was serviced for $175 and when we walked in the camper the filter and vent were laying on the kitchen counter. We spoke with the Service Representative and she was dismissive and did not make any effort to rectify the issues we discussed. Camping World is Midway lacks customer service and empathy for the customers. I encourage every one to go anywhere but there. They take complete advantage of people. $145 an hour is highway robbery!! ABSOLUTELY NOT VANLIFE FRIENDLY. Women beware. I took a day off and lost time and money to make the trek to this location. Canceling other much needed appointments and setting back progress on my build to have a "professional" give me their opinion. I came in to have a superficial rust spot on the roof of my van looked at and asked if they could also asses a pesky bolt I've been unable to budge. I was told weeks ago that this would be a super fast task that they manage often and it could be done within an hour or so. Time nor money we're of a concern as long as the work was done. We had an extensive list of items we planned to buy in their store as the work was being completed so the timeframe worked perfectly. It would have worked even if they said it would take hours. I spend the time and gas driving out, happily. Arrive on time for my appointment and excitedly meet with them to check in and discuss the good Sam program and that's where the pleasure of this trip stops. Let me note that this entire time the women I worked with while both setting up the appointment and checking in were wonderful. The gentlemen assigned to me? Everything but. Again, here for an assessment on the quarter size surface rust spot that has not eaten through, is not in need of a patch, is not causing issues to the van liner etc. It's a vintage van and this is expected so I wanted to catch it now. We walk out, I show him the spot, I open the back doors so he can assess easier and IMMEDIATELY he hones in on everything else within the van. More importantly the self installed yet professionally guided solar. I try to redirect because I'm not here for that yet he can't let it go. I politely inform him that despite the van being in disarray as we pull out the headliner and remodel, the solar has been in place for over 3 years, costs more than the van and has never given us an issue. He begins to degrade the work that was done by the top solar company in the field, condescend every interjection I make despite never have meeting me prior, knowing my skill set, or even asking my occupation. He tells me how to do the solar better. Why it's wrong as it is and then when he learns of what we plan to run with it reminds me that it's not just some simple thing. It involves amps and watts and fuses.... again not understanding that we've successfully run a fully loaded, converted van for over 3 years. I understand the process very well. And again, this is NOT why I'm here. When redirected again he points out that the ENTIRE roof is rusted through all the way, that he has a beater like this at home, that it's a bigger job than the surface area that's just popped up (never mind he never looked under the headliner and noted the frame is pristine) and then to top it off never assessed the one bolt. He also mansplained why mounting the $2,300 roof AC we planned to install isn't as simple as we think it is (yet we never indicated any of this work would be simple...) and that he will have to build out a housing space for it etc What he needed to say was that he is simple minded and can't handle complicated tasks. That he has problems with effort. That he can't comprehend reading a room. That he isn't up for a challenge. That he can't handle women doing "man things" and that he is an absolute extreme pessimist using old age as an excuse to be an outright awful human. I immediately left and did not give this company a single cent or a single minute more of my time. What we tolerate is what we think of ourselves and that is not what I will ever excuse. This company lost business big time and that's extremely unfortunate as I looked forward to working with them and learning along the way. I learned a lot yesterday but I could have stayed home, saved the gas money and started on these hard projects he couldn't dream of. When I came home and disclosed this interaction to a few vanlife groups I was FLOORED to see every single person say to stay away from camping world! Nope. Nope. Went in to look for a 35-38 foot diesel pusher. They would not show them to us without sitting down and getting a lot of personal information. When I asked why, the young girl stated that they had issues with theft and vandalism. I was livid because this was a way to collect my personal credit information. Then, when we told the inexperienced person what we wanted, she said they didn't have any diesels. We left knowing there were at least 3 on the lot. read more

Total ripoff and liars. I took my class A in because hot water heater relief valve open when traveling 300 miles from central Florida. Neither power supply had been turned on for two weeks and were not ON during the trip. Tech told me a BS story about my heater having a SPECIAL connection to the motor to heat water during travel that caused the relief valves to open. There is no such connection! They charged an addition 33.73 for personal protection and shop supplies for total of 185.69 for doing nothing but BS me. To add insult to injury' the tech broke the plastic washer that holds the water heater's cover and did acknowledgement it and stuck the broken piece in the slot where it and the custom painted cover would have fallen off going down the road. read more

Bought our first travel trailer from them. Sales is their primary concern. One you've purchased, not so much. Walk through was insufficient. Paperwork in package for appliances, etc. was incomplete. The $1695 we paid for "prep" was a joke. Floors not swept, roof not cleaned, missing trim. Said could get replacement trim in 2 weeks. It's been over 6 months. They don't return phone calls. I just had to share this experience ... Let me just say walking in Camping World on July 4, 2020 in Midway Florida. I wish we had never walked through their doors. We were put with a guy named Sam . We told him what we were interested in and he was all go and ready to help us until my husband said he was just looking. We always say that and here's why , You are going to earn that sell anyhow what we got was Sam walking us out the double doors and then telling us here you go folks have a look more or less and he turned and walked right back in . We were just like WOW okay. So we went and we seen a few we liked , most had no tags with pricing . It was raining off and on that day . We came across a gentleman on a golf cart and ask if he might be able to get us the price on that particular trailer he said yes and left We waited and waited but he never came back . We were done with waiting for help. On our way out no one stopped and ask if we found anything or if we needed help. So we left and we were having lunch and the more we thought about it the more upset it made us . We called explained we were there and we wanted a price on a trailer and some help would be great when we came back but we knew we didn't want Sam , So we were put with Jack and straight off the bat he couldn't answer simple questions like . Do you have a military discount what are the sales that are going on. He couldn't answer not one simple basic question. We pick the trailer, and start the numbers he goes comes back with numbers we start dealing, He goes out but the next thing we know the manager Is walking back with Jack and just says , Thanks folks for coming in we will call you tomorrow or Monday. We just look at each other get our stuff stand up and walk out . A bit confused on what just happened and why so we left . Sunday came we didn't hear from them so here comes Monday the 6th 11:00 am still haven't heard from them. By that evening at or after 5:00 pm my husband got a call being told he was suppose to put a thousand down on the trailer. He was upset because we hadn't even agreed on numbers or got to that point. They only came out with one offer and then decided to shut it down and send us home . My husband then expressed his disappointment with how we had been treated from the start. By this point we were so irritated and we had decided that this isn't a dealer we want to do business with On Tursday we had decided to call corporate and I was directed to a Marcus but I spoke to his secretary I believe. We never heard back from him .So I just for craps and giggles called and ask what the excuse was why we hadn't heard back they said banks take longer. Okay and we get that but no one kept in contact with us . I let him know that we were no longer intrested in doing any business with them he ask what happen I explained how we were treated . He apologized and we hung up and about 10 minutes later the salesman Jack calls and is all concerned and asking what he did wrong . I shared some advice on what he could have done better. He is giving it his best I told him he would have to speak to my husband . He called long story short we were willing to still purchase from them even though we still were upset with how our family was treated from the first and second visit until that present day they were offering g a 500 gift card to their store and to possibly add on a backup camera and even with that my husband and I sat down and talked about the experience. In order for us to buy from this very place that treated us so poorly we would have to deal with them when the trailer needed service. How would we be treated then ? And if we decided could we take it to Dothan Alabama Camping world for service .. We would have to drive all that way . And to be honest it's just too much of a hassle . I wish there were other travel trailer dealers close by . Sam and the finance manager Goose at Camp World I hope remembers that a sell happens when you put in the effort . I wanted to enjoy our new camper but Camping World associates didn't care to make sure our experience was a positive one on attempt 1 and 2 in purchasing a travel trailer. We have recieved one call from Jack since we said we didn't want to do business with them after all. Literally no one from management or corporate gave a crap to call still can't believe we were treated like this.. Folks that says it all. Very Big Let Down. This is my third experience with Camping World Tallahassee. I have bought two other travel trailers from them and had minor issues but this time it is a nightmare. I will detail it for you: One May 28, I bought a 2021 Mallard M27. Scheduled to be picked up on June 3. When I got there for the walk through, the heater was blowing a fuse when you turned it on. Since it is summer I told them that I would get it fixed when I came in to get my slide topper installed in July. (I paid for and ordered a slide topper on May 28 and they told me it would be 4-6 weeks before it came in) So I brought my camper home that day. When I got home I tried to open the bedroom door to the outside. It was jammed shut and would not open. I opened a window in the living area and the whole slide mechanism came off in my hand. The Dometic strip fell off the refrigerator. So I called camping world and took it back to them the following Tues. I think that I went and picked it up on Friday. They had glued to strip back on the refrigerator, they had to order a new screen and window, they fixed the door so it now opens and shuts, and decided after testing that the heater needed an new thermostat wire. It is on order. Well I can live with all this and go test my camper out over the next couple days. So I plugged the camper in and turned the refer on and the AC to make sure all is working. AC worked OK but the refrigerator after two days would not get any colder than 75f and the freezer had ice forming. Sooo, I called camping world and they told me to bring it in one June 16. I did so. The service person and I went out to the camper and I explained what was wrong with the refrigerator. On June 25, she called me and asked me what was going on with the refrigerator cause the Tech needed to look at it. Bear in mind that was 9 days after I dropped it off. I explained that the refrigerator wasn't cooling and the freezer was icing. Have not heard a word from Camping World or the service rep until I called and asked yesterday July 1. My service rep was not there but another on tried to help me but really did not get much. I told her to have my service rep call me today and bring me up to speed on where my camper is in the service section. I have not heard a word yet and it is 1 PM. The other service rep did tell me that they have to order a new board for the refrigerator. I have owned this camper since May 28 and have yet to go camping. It has only been at my house a few days. I have a real problem with something that you pay a lot of money for basically falls apart and no one really cares. I realized that some of this is not camping worlds fault and it should go back to Heartland. However, I answered a survey for Heartland and gave them and Camping world a very low mark. They wrote me back and said: JAMES, Thank you for participating in the Heartland RV customer satisfaction survey process. The goal is to continue to provide superior products and services. The feedback you provide will assist us in meeting our goal. Your response will be reviewed by our dealer and product support teams. If we identify that we have not met your expectations we will take the necessary steps to follow up to achieve an amicable outcome. Sincerely, Customer Satisfaction Team Haven't heard anything from them either. I called Camping World yesterday and asked to speak to the Gen Manager and apparently he is not available for a couple weeks or more. The Sales Manager is acting, but I have talked to him before and all he basically tells me is that everyone experiences this sort of thing and yada, yada. Resolving an issue is not in Camping Worlds manual. They just pass you around, don't update you on service, and once you sign on the line, that's all they care about. Also, if I remember when you buy a camper they charge you for a pre delivery service fee of 500 dollars. You would think that everything would have checked out prior to delivering the camper to me. I have done business with this location several times over the last 10 or so years. I have purchased 2 travel trailers in that time and shopped quite a bit in the store itself. From the camper dealer standpoint, I have had no real problems with both transactions. Understand, like car dealers this is a cut throat business and not all salesmen work the same. Some are in it for the long haul, some may be in it for the sale they can get that day. Find the salesman that is interested in your purchase 10 years from now, and you will have the right one. In both cases we had Dan Ivester, and he does it right. We have had two situations where we needed the service department. In both cases the experience was great, and we felt we were treated well. My mother, My wife, My son and I all went to Camping world yesterday May 4th because my Elderly mother has been saving for what seems like forever to purchase a RV to stay in. Believe it or not she actually purchased the RV.... YES... Wrote the check after 3 hours of haggling back and forth. SAM the sales Guy spent hours with her.. HE WAS AMAZING... BUT!! Then the worst thing ever.. Every one had cheered and clapped when she agreed on the final price and pulled out her check book and wrote a check.. I almost fell out.. LOL.. A few minutes later a very tall / Large man came into the office ant turned all those smiles into tears. Dan Ivester was his name and he informed us that he was the General Manager... He proceeded to say that the deal my mother had just paid for was all a lie.. He said she had haggled herself out of having the RV set up for a final walk through. He stated he wasn't going to put it through the shop to have everything checked out as promised.. He said it cost $135 dollars x 8 hours and she had gotten it to cheap so he wasn't going to do it. He said and I Quote.. "You bought it as is, go get it" he also said "I hope you can smell propane, because it could blow up". This ofcourse after slamming my mothers check down in front of her and letting her know its going to be more money... My 70 pluss year old mother burst into tears and started shaking.. This made Dan Ivester even more mad as he went on to inform my mother how all sales men lie and that's why he has to come in and straighten this stuff out.. He even produced his cell phone and showed my mother pictures of the roof of the RV, along with other "Party Pics" as he scrolled the wrong way.. I hope if you are reading this that you realize the staff at this location are totally demeaned and bullied by this man. He was abusive in his tone. His demeanor was aggressive and unacceptable. My mother is 5 foot 2 inches tall. He is well over 6 foot and has no right to raise his voice or bully a elderly woman. It took all my years of training as a Nurse to not go over the desk and teach him how to talk / treat a woman / mother / grandmother. And yes, I was there, My wife was there and MY son was there.. This was supposed to be a Happy Birthday event that ended up being full of tears and fear due to Dan Ivester the BULLY of Elderly Women...... BEWARE!!!!!!! To the Staff who have helped me over the years at Camping World of Tallahassee... I really appreciate all you do. I honestly don't know how you put up with that man. Why do you let him talk to you that way and treat you all like dirt. You are valuable and many people including myself appreciate all your help and knowledge.. None are plugged in, so you can't take your time and look around, it's over 90f degrees in there, no lights. I'm surprised this location gets 2.5 stars. Their personal service is virtually nonexistent. Several days ago, I ordered a product online for delivery to this store. It was to be delivered in 2 days. Today was the 6th day and no email so I called. The young lady who answered the phone was very pleasant and said I would have to talk to someone in retail , but they were all busy. She took my name and phone number and someone would call me shortly. 45 minutes later still no phone call so I called back. Was told that they were unloading the truck and when they found my product someone would call me. An hour later I was cleaning my spam folder and found an email (today's date, 8:00am) telling me my order was read for pickup and I only had 4 more days to pick it up. So, I went to the store and the nice lady on the phone told me to go to the retail checkout counter and someone there would help me. After waiting for 10 minutes for the one and only person there to finish up he said no you need to go to the parts department pointing across the room. When a part's person finally arrived at the counter it took her less than a minute to find my package a send me on my way. This is not the first time I've had issues with this store and it probably won't be the last. read more

We were having a refrigerator issue in our RV today. My husband called 30 miles away from Camping World and was told they could troubleshoot it when we arrived. When we walked to the service desk Haley promptly waited on us. She was definitely an angel in a blue shirt. After taking our information Haley went out to the RV with us. I was traveling on I10 in Florida on the first day of my trip and the ceiling over my dash fell down. I called the manufacturer from the side of the highway and they referred me to Camping World in Tallahassee. I called them because it was a Saturday and hoped they would be open. They said they thought they could help. It took 90 minutes to get there but they immediately greeted me and reinstalled the panel. While there they identified a recall on my rv that had not been repaired and fixed that also. I was back on the highway very quickly. My wife and I had a pretty decent experience. I'm not a big fan of dealerships so there were a few times my patience was definitely tested but I will say that the two individuals that we dealt with remained friendly and professional through our whole experience. I give Robert Powell and Keith Grace a thumbs up. On the flip side I would have liked to seen more communication between staff and the customer because there are times when you do feel left alone or maybe have been lead to believe something that may not be total fact. We bought our camper and then had a few items to install. I was told the work would take around a week before we could pick it up. They had to order some parts. After a week I called to see where they were in the process but my calls to the parts department went to voice mail where I left a message, no call back that day so I called again the following day to let them know I did not get a return call. Not only did a parts man call me but the operations manager made a follow up call to be sure they did. Linda was great! We purchased a new 5th wheel, the salesman Pete was very helpful as was Dan. Anthony was friendly, helpful and patient with us as we did our walk through. It seems that this location is making changes for the better. read more

Lousy place to take your RV. Purchased a new 2018 Coleman 32" travel trailer in Oct of 2017 and have had nothing but trouble with almost everything. No AC/ No heat- they say everything OK. Bull. They had it for over 6 weeks and when it came back nothing was fixed right. My husband ended up doing the minor repairs but our AC & het still do not work. Took it 3 times and still unable to fix it. They run a lousy service center. Mechanics don't know what they are doing. Taking my RV to some place else for warranty work as I have already lost 6 months of it thanks to them. Shortly after arriving to the Florida pan handle, I noticed a water leak coming from under the sink of my 35 foot travel trailer. Removing the access panel and looking in with a flashlight, I could see a T joint dripping from the rear of the hot water tank, well beyond my ability to get at the problem. I called and spoke with Kathleen, the service writer at Camping World. She gave me a choice of 8 AM the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I arrived on Wednesday and she immediately came out to my 35 foot Jayco trailer, looked at the problem and told me to drop the trailer there and she would have it moved into the shop. Suffice it to say that the repair required making a parts run, removing and reinstalling the stove, as well as repairing the plumbing. Both she and I were on the telephone several times with the extended warranty folks before a difficult confusion regarding authorization was resolved. Her experience and skill got the job done. At 4:30 PM, I paid the $50 deductible after 6 hours of work by a skilled technician and was on my way. This morning, looking under the sink, I can see the space is dusty dry. Additionally, I am able to see which joint the technician worked on as they now are also sealed with pipe dope. Any more problems I will go to this dealer and request Kathleen. read more

I purchased a 2017 Navion that Camping World had posted online. After we negotiate the price, I did a VIN check on it and found out it was a 2016. So we adjusted the price, then when I got the title in it says 2015. I also asked that the motorhome to be serviced before delivery because I was taking a trip with it upon delivery. When they delivered the Rv , I was told the coach had been serviced, but they couldn't tell me what or how much oil Or what the shop had done. They would check into it and let me know when I brought the Rv in I to get the Jack's installed since they didn't get that done before delivery. Again I asked about the service. At that time I was told the $995 I paid for was for them to go though the coach. It wasn't for oil changes and normal service a person would expect when they ask for the Rv to be serviced. This was after I had taken a 4000 mile trip , with the thoughts my new coach had been serviced. Then I found out they don't service Mercedes engines, ( only sell them). I'm not new at Rving we've been full time for 19 years. I also have purchased. 3 Rv, 2 cars and three homes online. I can tell you this was the worst experience ever. RUN read more

Our salesperson, Morgan was great. Then, there were paperwork issues with incorrect vin numbers and a service person put in charge of our walk through which was an unprofessional joke!!! Besides not explaining much in the way of how the camper worked, he repeated more than three times that he had a quote pretty little girlfriend to get home to" and "I'm not getting paid at this point". We followed back up with the general manager as we were called in to once again repeat paperwork due to a date change on the bank forms, at which time we told him how management should have never placed a service person to do a walk through. He assured us he would "make it right"; however, he hadn't done a thing. Not until my husband was ready to completely back out of this deal and walk. we bought a hitch for the fifth wheel through them where we found the same hitch in another location for more than four $400 less and they were unable to match the price or refund our money without applying a service charge to it so that we could go to the other location and purchase the hitch at the cheaper rate. My husband was finally able to have them at least install the hitch without any labor fees associated. keep in mind that's a 30 minute installation. lastly, we were told by the next person who performed the walkthrough that we were missing our voucher for the grill, bar and propane hose from jayco dealer and to call then direct to receive it. We did... And the Jayco dealer said that with our particular make and model there was no free grill and they had provided us with an accurate information! If you can get a camper from a more professional dealer who has their game together... I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

This is by far the worst Camping world ever! If you have a chance and can make it to another camping world I would highly suggest avoiding this one! They have the worst customer service EVER! I typically do not post my opinions but this one is worth noting. We have to been to their store several times to look at Toy Haulers. We've been interested in a couple of them and thought .....we'll keep an open mind and maybe they will call us back. We've had 4 out of 5 times that we've expressed interest in a couple rigs and they have yet to ever call us. We now look at rigs to see what's out there but will never buy from them again. Today, we purchased wheel covers and windshield wipers for our trip. We needed The air in our tires checked. For a mere $32 they would be obliged to check. Whatever!
