let me start by saying this review is based on value, not how super duper fancy the hotel was. ok…read moreso the hotel is old.. and yes, there are certain things you get from an old structure. you get uniqueness and coziness. but you also get old plumbing. so yes the bathtub doesn't have a curtain (nor any sort of barrier that keeps the water in the tub), but the water pressure will blow your doors off and the staff is genuinely top notch and super sweet and they will be happy the mop up the big puddle of water outside the tub each morning. seriously i loved the staff. they were super helpful with all my questions on navigating the dolomites and where the parking lot was (this was a bit sarcastic as the parking lot was quite difficult to find even after parking there for 3 days). but look, this is the least expensive hotel in town (at least it was when i booked) and i had a very comfortable experience there. great location, great staff, great price. definitely recommend if you're looking for a (close to) 4-star hotel at 3-star price.
Just Ok room. Old room. It could be better if there was air conditioning (summer time). Bathrooms…read morewere tide and clean. Outstanding breakfast.
Stayed here for two nights (of 6 days hiking in the Dolomites... great trip) and this place has it…read moreall. Super friendly staff. Nice-size rooms. A great (Michelin-starred) restaurant (St Hubertus... see separate review) that is semi-attached. Okay... two down sides: the "terrace" area is a little on the less-cared-for side...I don't think many people even go out there. And... the actual fitness center gym is, in my wife's words, "Bogus"... no free weights and a few scattered older/funkier machines (and a few legit ones). But the pool, sauna, steam room and rest of the spa seemed great. The usual amazing breakfast buffet you find in most decent European hotels... see pix. The bar area is intimate and well served by the bartender who seems to have his hands full with other activities as well. The sommelier who takes care of all your wine needs at St Hubertus was nice enough to give our group a wine tasting in the hotel bar area (three wines that all came with bites of food from the restaurant, as well). After the tasting he led us through some back work corridors and into the working kitchen for the Michelin restaurant for some more treats including eh nicest, tenderest Speck I've ever had. I gotta say, it felt like we were getting the star treatment there and a lot of that may be due to the fact that we were with a Backroads Tour (see review).

But the desserts were out of this world. I'm not a dessert person --- my husband ordered 2 and I couldn't resist. Please don't skip the dessert!!
Absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end! I have nothing negative to say about this…read morehotel! The staff are courteous, patient, and very kind. They go above and beyond to make your experience here convenient and relaxing. We were welcomed with a nice refreshing, nonalcoholic drink. The spa experience is wonderful. The hotel comes equipped with both wet and dry saunas and relaxation room. The large pool and jacuzzi are both at perfect temperatures. The jacuzzi transitions from indoors to outdoors. The hotel room was also very nice. We were welcomed with fruits, snacks, and champagne. I enjoyed waking up to the morning view everyday. The breakfast is outstanding.
Wonderful hotel! Amazing views, friendly, accommodating staff!! Only wish we could stay longer.read more
I really liked the Sporthotel Floralpina!…read more We stayed in the new extension (possibly finished in 2013??) so our room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony, a walk in wardrobe and a really nice bathroom (with the best shower of our holiday.) I loved: - The décor of our room - simple but classy - The views to the mountains - The breakfast (I loooved the chocolate croissants, the fresh fruit and the cheese and speck...nom nom nom) - The sauna, pool and steam room (there is a jacuzzi as well, but it wasn't very hot...) - The location is amazing if you'd like to climb up the mountain trails to ascend Plattkofel or the Sciliar We didn't like: - The wifi - it is rubbish! When I did get it working, it was really slow, but most of the time it just didn't work. I'd actually quite like to come back here to ski, or to do more mountain walking, but when I checked availability it was really full for the ski season...I guess everyone else already knows that it is a nice place to stay!

Service was excellent and I have to give a shoutout to Diego who checked us in to the hotel and served us at the restaurant. Knowledgeable about the food and gave perfect descriptions of the descriptions of the meals with recommendations that were true. The atmosphere was just what I wanted. Close to Cortina but outside the busy business district. It sits on a hill in a green pasture surrounded by the beauty of the Dolomites. It is very quiet at night. Rooms are rustic with modern facilities. Very clean. Would love to come back.
