Came here to wash sleeping bags and other large items following a camping trip. Thank goodness the only functional, commercial-sized washer accepted a credit card, because the change machine was out of order, along with a bunch of other washers and dryers. What should've been a quick, in-and-out, get-it-all-done-at-one-time trip to the laundromat took several hours due to broken machines and machines with other people's stuff left in them. So tempting to toss these inconsiderate people's clean clothes out on one of the tables. Nothing convenient about this place. The second star is only because it wasn't a hundred degrees in here. The first Yelp! reviewer was dead-on. Should've heeded their advice.

The location was super clean and well-organized. I liked that the machines were arranged by size, with the larger ones up front and smaller ones in the back--this made everything really easy to navigate. There was plenty of seating, plus vending machines for both laundry supplies and snacks. They even had a children's area with coloring books, which I thought was a really thoughtful touch. The employee I interacted with was very friendly and helpful, and took the time to explain how everything worked. I did two loads of laundry for about $7 and was in and out in around an hour. Honestly, I'd come back just to wash bigger items like comforters since my own machines always struggle with bedding. Definitely a great first laundromat experience!

Spring Cleaning has arrived! This means time to wash a mountain of rugs and bedding. Given that my…read moreduvets and mattress pads probably are too fat to fit into my washing machine, it meant going out to the nearest laundromat and taking advantage of their giant industrial washing machines! I came across Laundry Unlimited, and it's probably the nicest laundromat I've ever been to!!! First of all it's modern, so you don't need to lug around quarters!!! Second, the facility itself was extremely clean, and there was an attendant on site if you needed help. Even walking into the establishment was easy - imagine they have wide sliding doors that automatically open, so you're not having to juggle bags and try to open the door simultaneously! Pricing was a little more expensive than your average laundromat, but in my opinion it was worth it, to be able to do your laundry in a spacious and clean environment. One important thing to note, the laundromats are high tech now! They have touch screen, and it's best to install the Speed Queen App on your phone before coming here. I admit it did take me like 2 minutes to get everything set up. You can add a payment method, then you add funds to the app. There is a vending machine where you can also pay by cash as well. You will need to go into the App and select the Machine number. You can either start by selecting options through your phone or on the touch screen. There are the usual settings and options for Temperature, Washing Type etc. I loved that they had a bedding option! All in all, if I have bulky items for washing, I'm coming here!!!

But of course my washing machine would go on the fritz right after traveling for several weeks and I could not stand all of the dirty clothes in my house. This place is easy to find nice and neat and has a variety of washing machines as small as 20 pounds as Bauer just 80 pounds for very large loads or very bulky items. Make sure you bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets and other supplies because they do not provide or sell those items. Five years later, and I thought it was time to give this place another try despite my very bad…read moreexperience the first time. I have a very plush king size comforter that absolutely will not fit in my home machine. On first impressions, it looks like they've made progress. The outer facade has been updated, the machines look newer and in good repair, and it is overall clean if not plain inside. There is a range of machine sizes: Mega load $9.25, Maxi load $6.25, Triple load $5.00, Double load $3.75, and Single load $3.75 (for the same price, you may as well use the double load machines which look newer and cleaner.) There are two different size dryers, a standard size priced at $.25 per five minutes, and the jumbo size priced at $.25 per four minutes. I find it interesting that they have added the option to use credit and debit cards on most but not all of the machines. There are signs that say you can buy nine washes and get one free using your card, although it seems like you either need to register on a website or download an app. I was somewhat surprised to see the cash price and credit card price be the same, when so many places offer cash discounts these days since they're not paying processing fees. If you factor in the free 10th wash, it's a better deal to use a debit card if you are a regular. On today's visit, the machines were clean and working well, my comforter got washed quickly and thoroughly, and it was easy to dry it as well. All around a much better laundromat experience than several years ago. There are a few negatives to point out however: I noticed that the bathroom is locked with a padlock. I'm sure they're trying to deter vandalism and illicit drug use, but if someone is up here doing a week's worth of laundry or have small children, having the bathroom locked could be very frustrating. This location seems unstaffed, so you couldn't even find an employee to ask for a key. Also, I noticed that the one and only fire extinguisher in the building has clearly not been inspected and is not fit for use. Given the relatively high concern for dryer vent fires in this setting, and the lack of overhead sprinkler system, it seems like a huge safety issue. I'm surprised this hasn't been caught by a fire inspector, because the extinguisher looks fairly old.
