To Dr. Laura Kupers who guided us through the euthanization process with a gentleness for Sage and an unbelievable amount of compassion for myself and my wife we will never forget you. I've been taking our pets to Leslieville Animal Hospital for several years. I think they're…read morereliable and the people are very friendly. However, they have some unreasonable policies that prioritize profit over animals and service. For example, I recently took my 12 year old cat in for a regular appointment and to have his teeth checked (he has FIV and a history of dental issues and we've spent over $5000 having his teeth cleaned here since we adopted him). I was told he should have another dental surgery for cleaning and possible tooth removal. LAH provided me with a quote which was good for 90 days. I decided to move forward with the surgery but didn't let them know until about 120 days after I received the quote. I was then told that the quote had expired and had to bring him back in for another check up, no exceptions. This was irritating as he is an anxious animal who hates the car and I had to take time out of my day and off work. I explained this but they didn't care. I went ahead and booked another appointment anyway. The next appointment resulted in an identical quote and we booked his dental appointment the next week. A couple of months later, during the week of his appointment, they called and told me they had to cancel because the surgeon was sick. They said they could re-book if for the next month even though they pushed his surgery beyond the 90 day window and he wouldn't need another appointment. To summarize.. they made me come back to their office even though it stressed out my cat, cost me an extra ~$150 in vet bills, required I take time off work and delayed my cats surgery. But they were fine doing that exact same thing just a couple of months later. Which proves that they never NEEDED me to come back in in the first place. I'm not happy but I trust the people that work there. I hope the company that owns the clinic re-thinks it's profit-driven policies in the future.

I was an emotional wreck when I got his diagnosis, but the team did a great job of offering genuine empathy and support. They provided me with advice that I use on a daily basis to maintain my cat's health and I've called in on a few occasions to ask for help, which they are always happy to provide. I have also used their pet boarding service - They took good care of my cat and gave him all his special meals and scheduled medication. At my request, they provided me with a detailed report of everything that happened while he was under their care. The cost is on the higher end - Especially for prescription medications. As a result, I prefer to get the prescriptions refilled elsewhere. However, I will continue to bring my pets here for check-ups as the expertise, service and dedication of the vets, techs and admin staff is worth the money.

I asked about the murmer and he said "What murmer? , your dog's heart is fine." It's a terrible shame that Blue Cross has sunk that low to attempt to financially bleed pet owners this way. I spayed my girl cat in 2007, at a vet clinic near Bloorcourt village. A much more invasive procedure comes with the price tag. My tip money for two weeks went to the $250 dollar vet bill for second shots and spaying. This is normal, anaesthesia, cutting in, maneuvering a small feline body to do an ovariohysterectomy = money! I took my baby boy cat to the Davenport Rd Vet Clinic in 2010. I asked for a quote for the neutering, as I realized the prices may be high (considering the first consultation cost $170 unexpected dollars). What was the quote? $500. CRAZY! Do not go here. The care and customer service do not equate to that kind of bill, I don't care how much you love your pet. The prices are probably high due to location. Annex, Forest Hill, Yorkville, in the clinic's backyard. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor making 6 digits. I love my guys, but I found a nicer vet, for a much more reasonable price, in the exact same area.

I switched to Ajax Animal Hospital and over the years there had 4 in total. All GREAT dogs and Ajax Animal Hospital was GREAT. 4.5 years ago I went back to hunting dogs and decided to try Whites Road Animal Hospital again. They were good and treated my dogs well, the clinic a little on the costly side but that was ok till last week. On a vet visit I saw this Lady vet who noticed a bad tooth on 1 of my dogs. I was surprised with all the vet visits and such I do on a regular basis that not once did they say anything before or catch the issue with tooth. This all said I was charged for a checkup $65.36 on one dog and $121.39 on the other, this was for the exact same examination both about 15min each. The vet gave an estimate to do a teeth cleaning and an estimate to do a cleaning and tooth extraction. The prices seamed very high so I googled to get an average cost and then followed up with 4 other local clinics. In 4 clinics I found that after 4.5 years of regular treatments, medications and all that they wanted to give quotes that on Cleanings was $180 to $220 higher then 4 other area vets. The dental cleaning and tooth extraction was around $800 to $1,550 higher then the 4 other local vets. These prices Whites Road wanted to charge are insane. This made me cross check on other charges they charged me on my visit last week and I found them slightly high as well. The 2 quotes was so concerning when Whites Road Vet Clinic sent an auto generated question on how my visit was I replied to these issues and sent them an e-mail. Today the main lady calls and gives a total BS story on why there was such a difference on the charge they charged me on Examination, she said they both got the premium examination but only charged for the premium on 1 dog and not the other LOL what a crock of BS, this was an insult. A 15 min examination done 100% same on the dog that had NO tooth issue was the one at $121.39. All 4 other clinics for full examination was well below this and more in line with Whites Roads $65.00 charge they had on my other dog. For the EXTREMELY high quotes after already paying high prices for 4.5 years her story was that the clinic follows guidelines and can charge / quote whatever they want and that it's only a quote LOL, $800 to $1,550 more is NOT normal I suggest everyone really look into what this clinic is charging you and how long they spend for the charges. There is a lot of GOOD vets out there that are not out for the $$$ and are MUCH more responsible and respectful on what there charging there patients. Look around and make sure your getting treated correctly and not over paying. This is all my own personal feelings from actual experiences that I have had at Whites Road Vet Clinic. Please check for yourselves.
