It was super kid friendly and run by a lovely older couple who took the time to chat and tell us about some of the exhibits. It has some great OLD artifacts that are hundreds of years old, and really shows the early life in the United States. We stopped to see the statue that I found on Roadside America website. History of the statue: This was horse thief Harry "Sundance Kid" Longabaugh's home town, and the jail where he served time. Outside the former jail, the town has erected a statue of the kid lounging in his cell -Where the Sundance Kid served 18 months in jail for stealing a slow horse. Visit the museum in the basement of the courthouse. Look at the original court papers. Sundance WY is where Sundance Kid was from -

There were many artifacts to see along with the replica of the wall for Fort Phil Kearney with the fort laid out with markers to show where things were. The history is interesting, except for the fact that wealthy entrepreneurs exploited the common folks during the 1929 depression and bought their gold claims/homestead for less than market value.
