The perimeter of the park is lined with shrubbery and grasses with a few maturing trees for a limited amount of shade. There are sectioned wooded back drops that have become covered with green vines that add to the circular shape of the park. In the center is an art installation called "Nightsong" by Joe Beeler (1998) which features a lone Native American seated and playing a flute/recorder type instrument. The character is seated on a block with images carved into each of the four sides of the block. Beyond the statue, the sloping lawn is open until reaching the paved path that encircles the park. In addition to the stage/amphitheater on the lawn portion of the the park, there is a large, colorful art piece called "Extess" by PROJECTiONE located on the Northeast corner. However, during my visit, the lawn area had not been maintained causing the lawn grass to be nearly as tall as the decorative plantings in the flowerbeds! Seriously, if the city wants to spend money for a beautiful park, set aside some budget dollars for maintaining what you've built. Parking is limited to street parking on both sides of west bound Main Street on the north end of the park. Review #931

The planning of putting a park near the trail that runs through Muncie was a good thing. The…read moreparking lot, shelter, small playground, and restrooms (portable now) are really convenient. The amenities are simple and not worth going to on their own, but work well in conjunction with the trail. There are workout stations between the trail and the park for alternate types of exercising beyond simply walking. The only permanent restroom building was gated close, so that was disappointing to see. I am not sure if there was running water available. It doesn't look like there are any plans to extend the park, but there has been some landscaping and the mature shade trees make it a nice place to take a break on the trail. Review #1046

They could careless that we were there and that we were paying customers. I mentioned the mangers name that had been there years before and they came back with rude remarks and when I worked here and if the owners would of heard what I said and how I said it I would of been fired! The fall of 2022-23, we thought we would try them one more time. We were treated like we were the worse people. My grandsons were disappointed as they had aways enjoyed bowling here but they don't want to come to a place where they are treated so badly. So we called over to Versailles and they said come on over. That's where we will be at least until Woodcrest Lanes fines better management. Hope by next fall!!

Either way, the Union City, OH bowling alley takes me back to fond High School memories. In fact, I think it was my 15th or 16th birthday party that I hosted at the bowling alley? A few other notes for potential visitors: cheap, subpar drinks, greasy spoon eats and sometimes, they'll have live music in the bar area.
