The planning of putting a park near the trail that runs through Muncie was a good thing. The parking lot, shelter, small playground, and restrooms (portable now) are really convenient. The amenities are simple and not worth going to on their own, but work well in conjunction with the trail. There are workout stations between the trail and the park for alternate types of exercising beyond simply walking.
The only permanent restroom building was gated close, so that was disappointing to see. I am not sure if there was running water available.
It doesn't look like there are any plans to extend the park, but there has been some landscaping and the mature shade trees make it a nice place to take a break on the trail.
