They have so many scenarios you can choose from and we can even bring the kids for some. Reservations are easy to make. Waivers are required. Checking in and learning pre play rules is quick. As long as you bring the right group of people, should be a lot of laughs and a lot of fun!

Came here for date night and had no idea what I was getting myself into. I'd say my first breakout…read moreroom was one for the books! My fiancé signed us up for the kidnapped breakout but didn't read the most important part (IMO) that we would be blind folded and hand cuffed before we enter the room! Many may find that exciting, but I felt the opposite!! So you can imagine me once it was time to head into the room, ha! Kenzie was our host and did an amazing job explaining the rules and the game. Once it was time to start, she blindfolded us and handcuffed us (with real police cuffs!) with our hands in front. My fiancé placed her hands on my shoulders, and Kenzie guided us into the breakout room. She told us we'd hear a quick story, and after that, we could remove our blindfolds and search for the key to unlock our handcuffs before doing anything else. Once we heard the beep, the one-hour countdown began. We took off our blindfolds and opened our eyes to an all-brick room, chained to a metal bed frame with bloody clothes on top of a spring mattress. After about five minutes, I found the key. The breakout experience was intricate, challenging, and a ton of fun. Although we didn't escape in time, we'd absolutely go back. Highly recommend!

Enigma has very different feel than the first escape room company I went to. Unlike a lot of escape rooms (Breakout Games, Escape, etc.) this one is not a franchise. The rooms are entirely original from traditional escape games (no kidnapping or other overused themes). The room we did was called "Grandma's secret recipe" I believe and the goal was to search "grandma's" house and find her recipe before the bank comes to take it. The puzzles were challenging, even if they could use some tweaking. The staff was incredibly open to feedback and I think it's just developing currently. I imagine creating original rooms is more difficult than the kits many places use! I definitely recommend going in a group, because you never know who you'll be paired with otherwise. Overall I recommend Enigma and I'm excited to try out their "Haunted Dorm" this fall!

Thanks, Enigma Puzzle House, for putting Bloomington on the map for escape rooms!…read more These puzzle rooms were all the rage in Boston, but we never got around to it until now. And we're glad we did, because it was a great way to spend the afternoon. You basically get locked inside of a room filled with tons of clues. You're presented with a puzzle and then have only 1 hour to solve it. Who knew it would be such a rush! We went with some puzzle-room pros, and they were pleased by the level of difficulty at Enigma. $25 seemed somewhat steep for only 1 hour, but it's actually on the cheaper end compared to places in Indy and Boston. The staff were SUPER friendly and enthusiastic about escape rooms. ....I could see how it may be less fun if you're a group of 2 stuck with some strangers, but definitely grab a group of friends (or Team Building Event 2017) and go. You'll be reliving your Saw-victory for quite a while.

Gold Rush is more of a linear puzzle finder-solve this and it leads you to the next thing. Both Playground and Heist are designed for the feral teams who all want to grab and solve as the spirit moves. I like feral play, but linear still has some surprises and delights. The production value is always high and the people behind the scenes are so very nice. The only weird step is that post game our runners have all been pretty aggressive with the "please give me a glowing review, scan my qr code on my badge, we are in a competition for best escape game right now" speech. I don't know if they get an extra tip or what, but it has happened enough times now that I think it is part of their training. It doesn't ruin the event or anything, it just kinda comes out of nowhere since you haven't actually spent much time face to face with this person. Want an adventure, bit also want that adventure to last no more than an hour? Go, enjoy. It's a good time. Promise.

She was helpful & informative but didn't give the game away. Games range in difficulty. Our group had everything from Escape Room Vets to first-timers. We had a blast & escaped with just a few mins to spare. I was impressed to see they theme the hallways too, not just the rooms. It's like Laser Quest in the 90s. Even if it's just a wall texture or a ceiling light package to replicate a night sky, they build atmosphere before you even enter your room. Would highly recommend & return! Thanks Sadie & co!

My boys and I have done almost 70 rooms across many states and this location is now one of my…read morefavorites! From customer service to game execution this place does it right. Elyssa is absolutely amazing and you can tell that she loves what she does. When the staff is excited about having you there, it makes the whole experience better. Booking online is easy and their site has plenty of info on the rooms including trailers and photos. We found street parking easily on a Saturday afternoon. It's really close to Monument Circle so we got there early and checked out a few things before we walked over to PanIQ. It was nice to do multiple things and be able to park and pay just once so I really liked the location. When we walked in, my attention was drawn to the PanIQ Room throne...go ahead, press the red button! The waiting area was a fun yet cozy space with some seating and games. They do provide lockers for free and they have restrooms! When our room was ready we headed to the back to start the adventure. We chose to do Perfect Crime and it was a lot of fun. If you're not sure which one to pick, just give them a call. Elyssa and the whole team are wonderful about answering questions and are happy to help you choose a room that best fits your group. Before choosing, I asked about themes, brightness, difficulty, and accessibility. In this room there are a few steps (as in stairs) that you may have to go up and down a couple times so if you struggle with stairs, just make sure you have other people in your group that you can communicate with or talk to the staff about possible weekday accommodations. I believe there are only two physical locks in this room and the rest are what we call 'magic locks' that open automatically when a puzzle is solved. I really liked the tech in this room and the way the puzzles worked. The puzzles made sense and went along with the story. The difficulty rating on their site is "expert" and we were able to make it out with only two people. They do allow unlimited hints so you could make the room as challenging or as easy as you'd like. To make the leaderboard I think you have to use three hints or less. I'm not 100% sure on the number but we weren't fast enough to make the leaderboard either way. The room is rated family friendly and it was not overly dark or scary but you definitely have to do some thinking! If you had more people in the room, it would probably get a little toasty so I would suggest dressing in layers if you are wearing a hoodie or something heavy. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back to try Insane Asylum!
