I wasn't sure what to expect at Boundless, but I think they really helped a lot with making sure we felt comfortable and safe! I recommend bringing your own protective gardening gloves. They rent gloves on site as well. There are porta pottys on site as well as gatorades and ice cream in a cooler, and a dirt lot to park your car in. There is a station where staff members harness you up and then you go through a safety training where you learn how to use your zip line truck and your clickits. You can practice a little bit and then you are ready to hit the courses! The ropes courses are color coded by difficulty. Yellow to green to blue to black. I found the various elements unpredictable and interesting! Courses can include climbing elements or ziplines, moving through tree tops and wooden platforms. It's a lot of fun! The staff will rescue you if you are stuck or fall off. I had a hand injury and wanted to exclusivly zipline but I realized that there are no standalone zip lines, you have to move through the courses in order to get to ziplines. I ended up finding a nice barrel/tunnel to hang out in on one of the greens. I rested there for 30 minutes and people watched, dozed slightly, etc. It was very calm and lovely! Def the highlight of my visit. I was also very pleasantly delighted by the wonderful help from staff members who were constantly wandering and monitoring people. I lost a croc charm and a staff member noticed and helped me look for it. I was reallly grateful for their proactiveness! If it's a hot day, don't forget to drink water between each course!

Fraudulent behavior - BEWARE - I called the Kenosha location at 3:43pm yesterday to confirm the…read moreKenosha location was open; I was told by the person who answered the phone that they were open. I then, at 3:46pm, purchased nearly $300 in tickets on Boundless's website (from my phone) for me and three kids. I then drove 1.5 hours to Kenosha from Chicago, only to find upon arrival that it was closed. I went back to see what the email said and saw that, somehow due to a glitch with Boundless's website (and despite being told by someone at Boundless's Kenosha number that they were open), the tickets were for their Purchase, NY location. I then immediately called the number for the Purchase NY location to resolve Boundless's error and found out it was closed as well (despite selling me a ticket for that same evening)! I then immediately emailed Boundless and requested a refund due to the glitch on Boundless's website and the false and misleading information provided by the Boundless employee when I called prior to purchasing the tickets, and was refused a refund by the company's owner, Lorrie Funtlyder (she insisted I take a credit for the nearly $300 for services not rendered by Boundless).

Apparently, some of the customers/staff here have been shown on America's Ninja Warrior! Definitely adds to their credibility. Also, from their ONE session solely on how to control your balance, helped with an obstacle I had today at a race. I was able to walk across a beam without falling into the water. Honestly, their training works and I hope to learn more before my next race in August. Even though it doesn't look like much when you go inside, it's more than enough to get you by in the races. If anything, they do have OPEN gym days, where you can just come and goof off, but sign the waiver online before coming on in!

Half of the gym is set up for kids with smaller scale obstacles, the other half is larger scale intended for adults. However, both kids & adults are free to attempt any obstacle in either area. No lines, no "order" - just pick an obstacle & try it. Don't feel self conscious, because nobody cares if you fail & they sometimes cheer if you succeed! I have taken my 8 year old on 3 occasions now, and on the last trip decided to try some myself. Conquered the jumping spider wall, floating logs, bungee run & 8 ft warped wall. Anyone over 35 is not allowed to attempt the 12 or 14 foot warped walls; there have been a couple Achilles injuries. They offer memberships, classes, and drop in rates. Individuals are required to pay an annual $25 insurance fee; on your first visit this is all you have to pay. Bottom line, this place is FUN. And every ninja needs to practice :)

There was also a music class that morning and I asked if my son and I could check it out- we did and we loved it- wished we lived closer to sign him up for him but love they have special events throughout the year. I am a first time parent and jenny(the music teacher) was so helpful in showing me how to use music to bond with my son. After we went and played in their infant play area. It had come highly recommended by some parents of precious students, but I also wanted to be sure it would be a safe place for him to be now with Covid-19 procedures in place. Dr Fernandez is very open and clear about their protocols and what is expected from the children as far as contact between kids, mask wearing, and hygiene, which was very reassuring and made me feel comfortable sending my son. They also have a large outdoor space where they spend a significant amount of time in the summer months. My son absolutely loved his time there and always had something fun to tell me about when I picked him up. He enjoyed the weekly themes and the crafts and activities that go along with each week's theme. My son had clearly made a genuine connection with many of the staff and other kids there in just three short weeks, which I believe reflects greatly on the caring nature of the staff and nurturing atmosphere that they create.

At the end they did a parachute game and had the kids sing happy birthday. We then went to the party room for pizza and cake which they handled. At they end, the helped clean up the party and bring everything to the car. They also give you a card, certificate and tshirt for the birthday child. They give you a tip envelope which I highly recommend giving a tip as they earned it. It was a fun and quick 1.5 hour party. Highly recommend!!

I took my three year-old here over a year ago and I was in shock of how bad the teacher treated her…read moreactually in front of another teacher and me. obviously, I never took her back again, but till this day, my daughter has a fear of going to any gymnastics class. Just yesterday, I took her to a new place, and the poor thing was literally shaking still afraid from that situation. This person alleged that she thought my daughter was older, but that does not justify how she was forcing her in a very rude manner to do exercises that she didn't feel comfortable of doing. After they called me to please give them another chance, that the teacher felt very sorry, I just found it to be unacceptable. Maybe she was having a bad day and she took it on my daughter. It was an awful experience, if this was in front of me, I cannot imagine what she would do without a parent present . I do not recommend this place.
