My first issue with this place is their pricing is not at all transparent on their website. Their website says $45 a night. This is grossly misleading. My dog is incredibly anxious and takes medication to help with that. They charged me to give her her meds that I provided for her. $95. Ninety five dollars to give a dog one and a half pills once a day. Not once did they mention this either on their website or when I was dropping her off. I shrugged that off. Irritated, but those meds keep my dog safe and I will pay ANY amount to keep her safe. And then I got home. Whereupon I noticed two large injuries on her front paws. One swelling abrasion, and one puncture wound. Naturally concerned, I called them to ask about it. The manager that I spoke to was very helpful and apologetic and said that he'd discuss with his staff and get back to me. He was polite and overall a joy to speak to and deserves a promotion. He said that he didn't notice any injuries on my dog during his time with her. After the call, I received a call back from the owner. He was condescending and short with me, blaming my dogs swollen paw on a grass allergy. Plausible, right? No. She is a mostly outdoor dog and we regularly go on walks in grassy areas. Beyond that- get this! He said during my dogs nail trim, he noticed the abrasion and thought nothing of it. His exact words were "it's like a kid at daycare, right? Sometimes they get hurt." Which absolutely makes sense, but the difference here is the kids parents would get a call, an incident report, anything to be like "hey this happened FYI." And if I had gotten a call I wouldn't be so angry. When I brought up the lack of communication (which, btw, I called 2-3 times to check on her during my trip and this was NEVER mentioned) he said "oh do you want me to make a note of that in her file to give you a call if something like this happens again?" (That should be default. Call the owner if something happens to their dog, what the crap?) And I said "no thank you, she won't be returning so that won't be necessary", and instead of working with me to find a solution, or at the VERY least offering to cover veterinary bills or refund the $95 that they didn't tell me I would be paying, he offered a very condescending goodbye and promptly hung up on me. Also please note that NO ONE NOTICED THE PUNCTURE WOUND on my dog over the course of her stay, when it was visible enough that we noticed within ten minutes. I respect that this is a family owned business and appreciate the work that went into building this, but the negligence and lack of communication and transparency is not acceptable. Not to mention the absolute lack of any solution offered besides "put Neosporin on it". TLDR: they did not disclose pricing, were very condescending, and my dog came back injured.

So I have no idea how clean their facility actually is because he absolutely stunk every single time he came back from here. They did not work on the biting and did not give us a daily report card. It was a "trust me bruh" but they gave no explanation of what they had worked on whatsoever. When we asked the owner why they were not following through with the agreement made when we hired them, she tried pinning my husband and I against each other gaslighting us saying we didn't communicate together. Her exact quote was "it seems like you and your husband aren't communicating very well". Absolutely crossing the line. . Not only is that completely unprofessional as an owner to question a customer's marriage but to flat out lie is unacceptable. The owner is completely out of line and a scammer. They gave us zero information on what they worked on with our puppy and no report cards. We have no idea what he did all day while in their care. The report card we were told before hiring them would be DAILY. We got Monday's. Tuesday we didn't get one so on Wednesday I mentioned it to the morning staff. He stated they were down a trainer so we would get both today (wednesday). My husband mentioned it to the evening staff at pickup and was told the same thing but stated the delay was due to a sick trainer. Thursday morning we still haven't gotten a report card and haven't been told anything about what has been worked on. The owner tried lying stating they always had told us that we wouldn't be getting daily updates when that is a flat out lie. We had a call with the owner before hiring them where she stated we would be getting daily updates and SHE told us the class she thought would be best based on our goal. I can't stress enough how much of a liar this owner is and now she's trying to twist the narrative. We did not expect perfection we made it very clear we know he's a puppy. However, we have not been told a single thing of what they worked on with our dog. Nor has the biting even slightly gotten better. This was supposed to be a longer course, so the owner falsely framing this as if we expected a magical difference in three days is not only misleading but it is another lie. A complete waste of time and money. Do not recommend. They will tell you what you want to hear then change everything after you pay

As a previous reviewer noted, you can tell the quality of care by how your dog leaves the facility. All perked ears and tail wags and then the inevitable crash on the way home. Our Foster pups always come home more relaxed and easier to handle after a day's play. Our personal dogs are thankful for that too, being older they just can't keep up with those younger pups. The staff is wonderful and always greet our dogs by name during drop off and give us an "report" on how they did during the day. We've also boarded with DFP for long weekends out of town (our pups don't travel well) atnd always been impressed with the condition they were returned in. Bathed, brushed, relaxed, and happy to head home, what else could you ask for?

For the past 5 years, my two dogs stay here anytime we are out of town (which is around every other month for at least 7 days)-- so we've taken our dogs here at least 30 times. Our dogs are our babies. When we leave town, I never worry about them. The people that work there really and truly love each dog and know each dog's personality. We had a 1 month trip planned just 2 months after one of my dog's bilateral TPLO surgery & the staff made sure that he was babied. When our dogs stay there, they have non-stop fun-- so each time when they come back home, they sleep for 3 days straight. It's a clean facility but does smell like dogs (fancy that!) which might bother someone (if they've never taken their dog to a boarding facility before or don't realize that even the cleanest of dogs tend to have an odor). The cost is reasonable and they collaborate with a few local rescues so your money isn't only going to keep their lights on, it's also going to help save the lives of other dogs (Yay for karma points!). Is it a fancy place? No. And I don't know about your dogs, but neither of my dogs care about fancy. Cotton or cashmere? They don't care. Filet mignon or McDonald's? They would gladly eat both. Where I'm going with this is that this isn't The Ritz Carlton and that's OK-- because dogs don't care. It's safe, clean (but understandably stinky) and the dogs have fun and are loved on. What more could people want?

It seems like a lot of extra charges now and one of my dogs got hurt there. I know it was an accident because I witnessed her jump up on the park bench in the front waiting area and her leg went through it because there was no cushion on the bench. I ended up having to pay $200 for my vet to look at it and do x rays. Luckily it wasn't broken, but I feel like a simple precaution could have prevented it. Whenever I would pick up my dogs lately, they would be so nervous and acted like the couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm wondering what is going on there that I don't know about. They would also reek when I got them back, so I doubt there is very much cleaning going on there. I really hope they can improve.

Ended up at the emergency vet that afternoon and a very sick dog-pneumonia. They immediately had her on iv antibiotics and other treatments keeping her at the facility. We were called about 10pm and asked to come see her that she wasn't getting any better. She didn't even make it to sunrise the next morning. Our other dog was fine but she is a very small dog and was in a different kennel at night and played with dogs her size. Woofs claimed that our dog that was sick when picked up was lethargic but acted normal and they were not concerned.

My 8 week old puppy entered their "Puppy Start Right" program and immediately became accustomed to being handled, trained, and exposed to a lot of household items... crutches, canes, wheel chairs, hair dryer, grooming shears, extension cords, pots and pans. He became a very confident happy puppy quickly! However... the best part of that experience was what the trainers taught ME as the puppy mom! They taught me to always give my dog, a choice, never force him to do something that he is adverse to doing. They taught me about positive reinforcement. They taught me that always carrying my dog around is actually hindering his development, and that I need to allow him to be a "big dog" even though he talked out at 10 pounds. We continued to the adolescent program and I truly enjoyed the 4 weeks of daily day training, and Satchel loves his trainers! We were treated to a end of session handoff meeting, where we were taught how to continue teaching him the good manners, and the good behaviors that we all like seeing in a well trained dog. It was wonderful to be able to see him interact with his trainer. His trainer answered all our questions. In fact, it's important to know that every single day I took my dog in for training, I would greet a trainer who would ask if I had any questions. I knew that this group of fine humans loved my dog as much as I do, if not more at times. It is wonderful to see how satchel behaves in public, how he handles a leash, and how he behaves at home as a confident, young puppy. This center is very careful to not over populate their staff meaning they only take on a safe number of dogs that can be taught properly during the amount of time. Their facility is extremely clean my dog had access to water, food, treats and enrichment at all times. Satchel really enjoys the obstacle courses, and now he is currently being trained for the canine good citizen distinction. I really appreciate the fun activities like Easter egg hunts and group walks that allow me to interact with other dog owners.
