I was the only one there when I ordered but people who came after me got there food without hesitation. Even a man who ordered his food after I was waiting for 15 minutes had his food before me. And so I asked Rebeca "why did everyone get there food before me?" And all she would say is "Im sorry" "Im the only one here" but why were the five or six other customers served before me, the one who ordered first???? And I still don't know because she refused to say why so I am left to assume it had to do with something about me she didnt like. And I dont know that woman and have no idea why she would treat me that way.

This market provides for food and supplies for campers, fishermen, boaters and tourist. Being at…read morethe way point of both sides of Success Lake / Reservoir and both campgrounds (main and back) it is very convenient. The place is old but that lends itself to the ambiance. There are dozens of photos of fishermen displaying their catches some dating back to the to the very beginning of the filling of the lake. Don't expect a tourist trap or the corner market. It's got soft drinks machines and cold bear and the like as well as food items, camping and fishing gear, Propane and white gas. I believe the gas pumps have long since removed. I have to add a caveat. I haven't been to this place in 20 years but I used to live in Porterville and came back to visit often and my experience has always been that this market changed very little and slowly at that. Enjoy!
