Camp Cedar Ridge

Camp Cedar Ridge

Where do we even start? Camp Cedar Ridge was everything we dreamed of for our wedding venue and…read moreMORE. The location is stunning and magical, the ceremony and reception sites are perfection. Kasey was incredible to work with from day one. She answered our many questions graciously and patiently. And when our day of coordinator flaked the night before our wedding, Kasey stepped up and helped however she could. My wife and I will forever be singing her praises. We stayed in the loft with our bridal party the night before the wedding and we were very comfortable. The bridal party stayed in the house the night of the wedding and it was fantastic! A group of 20 of us enjoyed multiple delicious meals that the staff prepared for us throughout our stay. The day after the wedding, we enjoyed a delicious brunch-- complete with on theme decorations. If you do this option, request their waffles and cinnamon rolls. So yummy! After brunch, we braved the 300 foot slip n slide. If you're on the fence, just do it! It is wildly fun and such a once in a lifetime way to wrap up a wedding weekend. There was so much stress leading up to our wedding but I can say confidently that NONE of that was because of Camp Cedar Ridge. Their motto is Discover the Good and they are GOOD at what they do. Kasey and all CCR staff ensured our wedding weekend was perfect. And wow, it was. We will be so grateful forever.

Although the location is gorgeous: it's right on a beautiful river, there's tons of natural beauty and scenic views of the Coast range mountains, I was MOST impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food, which was absolutely scrumptious at every meal and did the best job accommodating the dietary needs of EVERYONE in attendance. Absolutely will attend other retreats here in the future!

Cannon Beach - Beautiful town,my hometown!

Cannon Beach

What an amazing coastal town with a handful of cute little shops and restaurants. Got to see the…read morefamous haystack rock which was amazing to see in person. I was able to walk up pretty close to it, and if I wanted to, go even further into the beach next to the rock. There were a handful of people looking around and exploring, enjoying the views and the water. I highly recommend coming here. Your heart will be filled and relaxed and calm.

With being the location for the popular Haystack Rock, you'd think this beach would be so crowded,…read morebut it is pleasantly not. On top of that, Canon Beach is so easily accessible. There are tons of access points to the beach, but the easiest is to park in the Haystack Public Parking lot and walk across the street, past the public bathrooms and homes, and you're immediately in front of Haystack Rock. Besides Haystack Rock, Canon Beach itself was kinda boring to me though. The long stretch was rockless and smooth, just sand and ocean horizon. My preference is to see more boulders and rocks to keep things interesting. This beach is excellent for runners, though, because of the smooth sand and long stretch. There were a lot of people clustered around Haystack Rock, but less dense further on. If you're looking for seashells, there are none. The sand is super smooth all the way. It is a nice beach but not too many people hang out here, which is great if you're local. For the most part, we saw people come to see the Rock and then leave.
