You will not regret having your wedding at Camp Cedar Ridge. It was absolutely perfect for the "summer camp for adults" wedding vibe we were going for, which took place over the weekend of 9/7. We stayed on-site for two nights with our guests in the platform tent villages and nearby lodges. During this time, we made full use of everything the venue had to offer, from the pool to the slip'n'slide (which was an awesome way to see people off the day after) to song circles around a campfire - we made so many great memories here and our guests have been raving about it since! On top of everything, Kasey and the venue staff were SO NICE and accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with - you get the feeling that they take a lot of pride in what they do and really care about making your event awesome. We took advantage of their catering and bartending services and they so easily interfaced with our other vendors and coordinators so that everything went off without a hitch. It was a truly unforgettable weekend thanks in part to CCR

I happened onto this place due to an event. I must say that I was impressed. It is a multiuse facility. It looks like it could be used for a sports camp, church camp, or similar. There's a large basketball court area, a swimming pool, sand volleyball, and best a huge slip and slide. I saw some tent/cabins in the trees (which I took a look into, the bunkbeds look comfortable only to the under 20 set). There is an ampitheater area, that looks like you could have a campfire around. The river is close by. There is a dining hall, but we didn't use it, so can't say capacity. The facility catered our event with the typical picnic items and was OK, (hot dogs were better than the burgers in my opinion). The staff was great and friendly. It's a bit of a drive to get out here, but a really wonderful setting. I think a great place for a wedding, group camp, or corporate day event.

Such a beautiful setting. Picture by Happy Confetti photography.

And when our day of coordinator flaked the night before our wedding, Kasey stepped up and helped however she could.

If you are hosting an event in this area, this is the place. Venue-the space was large, has a good size dance floor and a stage. We brought in a band and the stage was more than large enough. We also used the projector to play a slide show. The venue provided chairs, tables and we opted to also use the linens. They also allowed us access to their back patio area which was fully fenced. We set out lawn games and the kids had so much fun. Food-we did the prime rib(they had a person carving slices for us) and blackberry chicken along with the strawberry salad, garlic mash, green beans and Mac and cheese. They included the plates and silverware. Everything was delicious and all our guests raved about the food. We also were able to bring in some of our own food(appetizers and pizza for the kids). Huge thank you to the Elks for hosting us!

One of the problems with this Elks is you can only stay 7 days during the summer even if the park is empty. The lodge is definitely losing out on additional revenue. The other thing that can often be a big problem is that there are several locals who move in and stay. They do not feel their dogs are subject to any leash restrictions. Thus, we've seen many times doors opened and little dogs on the loose. The dogs business is done and nothing is picked up. It is rare in any RV park that this is allowed and it is terribly annoying especially if you have a dog and keep yours on leash. The roaming dogs can be a big problem and we feel rules should be posted even for the good old boys to follow.
