The facility is ok. It's affordable and offers a calm place for groups to gather and do actiities together. The place is not in any way upscale but still offers clean and comfortable place to rest and relax. Food is ok and average plain camp food. I wasn't expecting much since the prices werent so bad..and, fra I like that this campground site is located in a convenient location. DFW airport is just 45 mnutes away, and if you need to grab some things for your group, Walmart/other malls are within 10-15 min drive. If anything, I wished the facility is a little smaller. When our group was there, there were other groups around..and it can be noisy if there happened to be larger kids groups during the same time. This a facility rental that includes byof and beverages. It's a retreat center. Activity area with basketball courts, swings , and large lake for fishing or water sports.Picnic tables and chairs. 2 dorms 21 bunk beds each building is located on property with beautiful views and names for dorms . We quested in Hope. It can be cold to me right temp . It was adjusted by manager then it was too warm . I prefer to wear layers than have it warm and miserable. Overall it's a beautiful place. Bring your own linen , toiletries, fans , blankets. Don't request the temp to be adjusted because it was just turned completely off . read more

I was actually a volunteer from the greater Denton, Texas at the time of a great Hurricane Katrina hit the New Orleans area, sending evacuees scrambling inland; I am Mark C. Fearing, Ph.D., and I remember all the refugees from Louisiana coming to north Texas, right next door. My third time staying at the Tally Center building with a church men's group. The location and volunteer staff were great, but that's where the greatness stops. The building is old and worn down. The rooms, hallways, and back stairways could have been cleaner. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of the water softener, it adds a sliminess to everything!!! Y'all need to install a water purification system. I brought my own bottled water and coffee to have a decent cup. Additionally, the food in the cafeteria is disgusting! Please hire people who know how to cook and who actually care about their work. read more

I went to camp Copass when I was 7 years old and kept going until I finally couldn't, and then I started working there! Camp Copass is such an amazing experience whether you're there to learn about Jesus and have fun in middle school and high school or to work and learn how to serve and help grow the Lords kingdom! It's been apart of my life for as long as I can remember and the memories I've made when I was little and now that I'm older and worked there for the summer are so many and so amazing! I've made friends and learned how to serve and be a bon servant for Christ and I would highly recommend you come here weather it's to work or to just meet Jesus and learn more about Him this is the place to go! read more

Camp Copass is very dear to my heart; I grew up coming to the Camps put on in July! it is a beautiful place to meet people and Jesus. I worked Two summers as a summer staffer and found it so much fun to get to be on camp all summer! I met some amazing people (my husband being one of them!!) and learned a lot about myself, and Christ. The staff works hard year-round to keep everything to top standards while still creating the fun camp experience! I have and still will find any excuse to go out to Camp Copass it truly is a wonderful place to be surrounded by the beauty of nature and a space to recharge from the constant hurry of the world around! read more

I attended many times as a camper with my church and worked several summers as a staffer as well and can truly tell you that this place does foster an environment where the Holy Spirit can be felt. The dining hall is run really efficiently and has the best camp food I have had! This place and this staff is truly amazing! I look forward to the day when my kiddos will be attending. read more

I've been here a few times over the years & I genuinely admire this location! It holds all of my church's Confirmation Retreats for a weekend in the spring & every year the participants enjoy their time here! Of course Camp Copass serves as purely a venue but they are very accommodating & make living quite nice! On a good weekend the lake is beautiful & the scenery is simple and cute. I am actually a big fan of the big trees they have! The cabins are also clean so that's always a thumbs up! read more

We stayed in Tally for an event. The walls, floors, stairs were paper thin making much noise when you walked- however once in the room I couldn't hear much because the AC was on. I couldn't find a bathroom in the cafeteria or in the individual meeting rooms which were in cabins. There were cabin bathrooms but men were occupying them so I didn't feel comfortable using them. Food was okay in the cafeteria. I liked the unlimited coffee and decaf coffee in Tally and there cafeteria. No soft drinks just juice which was also cool. The lake is the best part. It is beautiful there, well kept grounds, love the entrance with the big trees lining the road to the camp. read more

Again I found the facilities to be clean and well designed. The staff was helpful. The meals were tasty and filling. The campfires were fun for the kids and adults. We had wonderful times of fellowship and worship in the conference room. We will likely go back again in the following years. This camp was chaotic. Kids running a muck everywhere. While walking with my own children from event to event I came across countless kids lost and crying. The camp is HUGE and they had no idea where to go next. Not to mention the camp probably works hard at creating schedules so kids are with appropriate age groups. Well that all goes out the window when you get there. So much chaos. This place was a zoo. I have had WAY better camp experiences. Honestly Thursday night my kids had had enough. The main idea of this camp is to bring kids from your church with sponsors. But basically the kids free range and are left to their own devices when you roll up. Some kids that works for, but for some it's terrifying. I wasn't informed of how this camp works before signing my kids up. If I had known there would be little to know adult supervision I wouldn't have wasted my money. I thought this would be a place and time for kids to bond with each other and with the sponsors. Sadly We hardly saw anyone from our group. It's really sad that the kids were more hyped up about pranking each other and being mean than about team building. The Bible study times and lesson times were weak. I realize they have to appeal to kids but I didn't really get the point. I will not be allowing my kids to attend here again. read more

My grade went on a retreat and did not eat for 2 days because the food was horrendous and one of the cabins had a bed bug infestation. Any kind of meat was undercooked, had bones, and the rest of the food contained pieces of hair. As for the bedbugs, many of my fellow students are currently covered from head-to-toe in swollen, painful bites that the camp insists are "chigger bites". Although numerous people have chigger bites all over there body as well, it is obvious that the difference in size and pain levels justify the fact that these are bed bugs and my class would rather receive detention than go back to this retreat center. read more
