So where do I begin? Let's review this topic by topic. I was going to hold back until recent discussions with the manager. * The puppy interview. Process - take my pup in for this interview. The point is to test your pets temperament. 20 minute session seeing how they get along with others. All is fine so far so I thought. Problem: while my wife and daughter were waiting, they noticed on the cameras there was a Doberman humping another female dog as if they were breeding. The worker / care taker stood with their eyes peeled to their phone and not stopping the romantic interlude. Process: Our puppy had to stay there for a period of no less than 4 hours. No issue there. Problem: I returned to pick up my puppy. Greetings we're fine but as soon as I get to my vehicle. I pick him up to place him onto my vehicle only to discover he was bleeding from a pretty nice sized gash on his left paw. (See photo). By the way, a week later has yet to heal. This seems to be a permanent scar of which I do take issue. I decided not to complain thinking this may be an isolated occurrence. But wait a second, How did they not notice all this blood and if they did why did they not make me aware? Anyhow. I chose Patience because I was really hoping Camp Bow wow was the place for us. * The Package Purchase Process - decided to purchase not just one but 2 packages. 1) Play & Train and 2) Private training at facility. Now we are talking a grand total of $690 for 8 sessions of each. I see were the "wow" came from in the name Camp Bow "wow". Wow this is So expensive! I am expecting nothing but the best after paying that bill during these difficult economic times. My pup has a long lineage of show dogs and his parents attend Westminster shows on a regular basis so I felt that good professional training is required. Problem 1: Play and train sessions are not really "Play" and train. I discovered that the actual name should be "Place the pup in a cabin for 4 hours by himself and train for 30 minutes" I discovered if you really want the "Play" part of Play and Train, that is an additional $22 per session. This package needs to be renamed at the very least. The reason I purchased this package was so that my pup would be able to play with other dogs and then be pulled out for 30 minutes to train followed by letting him go back in and play with other dogs. Not to place him in a cabin all by himself waiting for me to pick them up. SobI was forced to pay this additional $22 per session. Nice deceptive move no doubt. Problem 2: One on one training. The trainer is very nice there is no doubt about it and does seem knowledgeable. However, you do not actually get 30 minutes of training. There is allot of non training discussion / activities. The time is ticking and I am paying $43 per 30 minutes. I just want to get to work and train. I would definitely hire her to come to my home at a reasonable price if she did not work for Camp Rip Off. * Customer Relations (Manager) Process: The manager after the 2nd session decides to tell me. Oops ! You owe us additional $44 for the last 2 play and trains. What? Well, again... Play & Train is really not play & train without the surprise $22 additional cost per session. Problem: There was a long and heated conversation about this. There was reimbursement Because I decided to cancel the "one on one" training sessions because of what I stated above and besides I needed to use that money to actually allow my pup to have playtime. The next day they called back saying I owe $44. They did not perform the transactions as we discussed the previous day. Now I am frustrated, trying to find a way to make us both happy Due to the inconvenience. The managers seem to not really care about customer relations. Sometimes you need to concede to the customer in the short term in order for long-term customer happiness and continued customer base. Not to mention trying to avoid awful reviews like the one I'm giving you today. The manager told me that she would call the owners, and get right back to me. She called me within the next 30 minutes and told me that the owners chose to reimburse me for my final package of course taking their precious $44 from it first. They essentially removed me as a client. I even asked if the owner is voiding me as a client and she sat in silence and said this was an owners decision. I asked for the owners contact information and the manager refused. Stating that she would be the one contacting the owner And the owner will decide if they want to contact me. In the end the owner got his $44 and lost a customer with potential thousands dollars of business. Gotta love that business model. Over priced, Poor record keeping, Distracted care workers, Untrained management, Not customer focused, Greedy dismissive ownership. Other than that this place is great.

Too bad there was not an option for no stars. :( DO NOT SEND YOUR SWEET BABIES HERE!!!! My dog was injured here, and the owners Cindy and Mike insisted that I had sent my dog to their camp already injured. The funny thing is Cindy wasn't even at her facility the day of the injury, nor did she personally call until I requested her to do so. I took my dog to the vet and was told my dog's injury was most likely caused by a bite from another dog and he was given anti-inflammatory medication as well as antibiotics due to the puncture wound on his neck. His paws were also shredded from the altercation that took place. I sent my dog to Camp Bow Wow, and he was perfectly fine at drop off and the fact that Cindy and Mike had the audacity to insinuate he was already injured upon arrival is infuriating and I am disgusted by them both. Cindy also was sure to let me know that my dog was playing rough with another dog and no altercation took place that she could see. If that were the case, then why weren't the dogs separated? They had a duty that they failed to fulfil, leading to my dog's injuries. It was excuse after excuse on their part and was told repeatedly that there was no altercation and Mike said, "We've never had in 5 and 1/2 years of business, we've never had a dog damage the pads with the play yards." And goes on to insinuate his paws were injured elsewhere. The only reason we even knew his paws were injured is because he was limping when my boyfriend Carlos picked him up after the injury. Cindy also went as far as to LYING about a phone call she shared with my veterinarian. Cindy said, "He said because of the nature of the puncture wound and the angle, he and the other vet that he talked with thinks that it was not a tooth, they both think it was a claw to the neck and not a tooth." This statement is false because my friend was there and witnessed the phone call and assured me, he never said that, and that Cindy was twisting his words. I honestly hope no one will go through what we have with these bitter, lying, manipulative, business owners. They did not care at all this whole time and made that very clear from the beginning. This "woman" (eyeroll) will never have my respect at all, and I really hope people start to see her for who she really is. I am beyond DISGUSTED with her and her facility. I have let all my friends know what happened and how she handled things and all 3 of them have stopped sending their dogs there. My dog was BITTEN here point-blank period.

Albus, our now 10 mo old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, has been playing at camp bow wow Pensacola for 4 month and I wish I could give them 10 stars for how much he (and we) love it! We can't even say the word camp out loud around Albus because if we do we had better be prepared to take him right away. He spends all day playing in the play yard and only an hour at lunch in his very spacious crate. After a few hours of playing, he spends most of the hour passed out and snoring. We have boarded him over the weekend three times so far and are so relieved knowing that not only can we see him any time we want having fun on their pet cams, but we also know he is being well taken care of by Cindy and all of the staff at Camp.

I brought my 13-year-old beagle to Animal Hospital of Pensacola after her coughing suddenly…read moreworsened into heavy panting and uncontrollable coughing. Given her age and history of a collapsed trachea, I was extremely concerned and called to ask if she could be seen sooner than her scheduled 3:30 PM appointment. I was told to bring her in immediately as an emergency and was given instructions to park in the back so they could bring her in separately. We arrived at 12:37 PM. A staff member came out, reviewed videos of her breathing, and asked me to send them to the office. Shortly after, I was told they wanted to begin with X-rays, which I agreed to. My dog was taken inside around 12:50 PM. From that point on, communication was extremely poor. By 1:54 PM, after hearing nothing, I reached out for an update. At 2:02 PM, I was told the technician had gone to lunch and that I would hear something in about 30 minutes. The only information provided was that my dog was "stable in a crate." No explanation of her condition, no reassurance beyond that. At 2:25 PM, I was finally told her X-rays were clear and that we were waiting for a room. I requested my dog be brought back to me while we waited, which they did. At 3:03 PM, I called again for a status update and was then told that since her original appointment time was 3:30 PM, we would have to wait until then to see the doctor--even though I had been told to come in early for an emergency visit. This was the first time anyone clearly explained that she was not being treated as an emergency. Had this been communicated earlier, I would have gladly paid for the X-rays and returned at the scheduled time. Instead, I sat in the parking lot for over 2.5 hours with little to no information about my senior dog's condition. We were not called back until 3:50 PM. To be fair, the veterinarian, Diana Heath, was thorough when reviewing the X-rays, which I appreciated. However, when I expressed concerns about the lack of communication and how stressful the situation had been, the response felt dismissive and lacked empathy. The issue here was not the wait--it was the complete lack of communication and transparency during a very stressful situation. When a pet owner hands over a senior dog in respiratory distress, basic updates and reassurance should be the standard. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and will be seeking care elsewhere.

We are camping at Gulf State Park Alabama and he got a sand spur stuck under the back of his tongue while trying to get it out of his paw. He is old and very sensitive and will not let me take them out. He stopped eating and drinking and we were concerned he would become dehydrated so we called local vets and they suggested PSA as they were open on a Sunday. I called Sunday morning and they got us in an hour after I called. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the staff and checked in. We did have to wait a few minutes past our appointment time, but they were evidently busy and when they took us back they apologized for the wait. The vet technician that initially took Simon's information when we were in the exam room was very kind and I told her my dog was not tolerant of vets and we usually had to put a cone on him. She informed me that Dr. Hinton was very good with all animals even testy ones but brought a cone in just in case we needed it. When Dr. K. Hinton came in with the vet tech a few minutes later he and she both got down on the floor to make Simon feel comfortable he was able to examine him sitting on the floor but when he tried to get into his mouth, Simon turned nasty. We did not have to put a cone on Simon, and it was probably a more thorough evaluation than Simon has had at any vet in many years. They ended up taking him in the back and giving him sedation to be able to take the sandspur out which was embedded under his tongue. They gave us some antibiotics and told me I should use the pain medication I had on us in case he needed it. The whole visit including the medication was $165 which we thought was a deal considering the emergency of the situation, the last minute appointment and the kindness of the entire staff in addition to the medication a very thorough report was written regarding Simon, including a heart murmur that the doctor heard. The clinic called us a day or two later to check on Simon, which was very kind and professional. If we were permanent residence in this area, we would definitely return to Pensacola animal Hospital. I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring animal services.

I had a last minute trip the weekend before Christmas so that Friday I called around to multiple…read moreplaces. They didn't pick up the first time but I received a call back in less than a hour, which really surprised me. While trying to find the facility for drop off I was a little lost as you can't see the place from the road only a white sign. The drive up the dirty road was a little surprising to me as they don't have many pictures. I knew I had no other options on sure short notice. Walking in, the smell was alarming and the cats roaming around didn't give me the best feeling. They employees where nice and pleasant during check in. I was told over the phone that boarding was $18/a day and his bath would be $15. During pick up I was told the price was $90 which I'm not sure how they came up with those numbers if I dropped off Friday and picked up Monday (2 full days, 2 half days - $18/day and 1 bath $15) either way I didn't question it as I planned on tipping for the service. I didn't like that he was still wet when I picked him up and in the car he slept the entire time which is so not normal for a Shiba. However, They seem to be family owned which is great and I always try to suppose local businesses! I would use them again if I need boarding.

I have been bringing my babies to Klondike's for well over 3 years. Desiree the owner, is an incredible animal loving people person and I adore her. I had the pleasure of meeting Desi through a referral. My neighbor used Klondike's for her pitty mix and after a personal series of unfortunate events, I required boarding for my 2 dogs every weekend for several months. I have a Great Pyrenees and a Poodle mix and they have been absolutely spoiled by Desiree. My boys have loved coming to the kennel every single visit since. They know they are coming about 10 minutes away and you can tell they are stoked, My pyrenees has even jumped out my car window because I was taking to long to open the car door, all to get to Desiree quicker! The Kennel is on personal private property and Desiree lives a short walk away, which makes me confident my babies will be well taken care of. Desiree also handles all of my grooming needs. My boys had a photo shoot coming up and Desiree was able to squeeze them in for their regular doggy doo's. My boy's get so many compliemnts on how good they look. Desiree makes sure my Great Pyrenees stays free of mats and tangles in his abundence of fur. Thank you for your wonderful services Desi, you are truly one of a kind.
