When I got to the counter, the gas mask was magically priced at $50 and the price of the suspenders was doubled at $20. I ended up just getting the suspenders, but the cherry on top was that the suspenders were actually broken and missing a clamp making them pretty much unwearable. Definitely not coming back.

This Camouflage store is the suburban one out in Scarborough near the Bermondsey transfer station…read more It's a big warehouse with the same wall of BB/pellet guns and Airsoft weapons as the one downtown, but also has racks and racks of army surplus clothing. Very cool to check out and possibly a good source of Halloween costume pieces or hunting gear. It's the kind of place you never know what you will find. For myself, I went hoping to find more selection of hoodies which I did and scored a nice new (not surplus) camo hoodie for $60. They have a target range along one side of the store for testing our the weapons which is pretty cool to see in action. Definitely worth the drive to Scarbs if you like army surplus or weaponry.

In that year I've sent them over a hand full of customers whom, like myself, have spent well over $1,500.00 in this store. So you could say the owner (Tony) and his assistant know me. Yesterday I walked in to buy a laser/light tactical combo, no batteries included, even though the manual says the batteries are included. No on top of that he tried charging me $10 EACH BATTERY! So I stopped and told him fairly "come on man, it's not like I'm a stranger, you can give me a couple batteries." And he replied "our prices are pretty fair, and batteries are pretty expensive, $10 each is a fair price." At that point I seen who I was really dealing with, so I said "I see how you treat your customers, I've spent over $1,000 in your store and you're about to lose a customer over batteries?" He didn't have anything to say. Honestly, I won't lie, their prices are fair, but if personally I'd rather drive 30 minutes further and pay $2-10 more on a product and give someone ELSE the business. Tucked deep away inside an outdoor plaza complex at the northwest corner of Highway 7 and West Beaver Creek, the location is small, but not overcrowded, so you'll surely find what you need and want. Many military paraphernalia on sale are much cheaper than many army surplus stores in Toronto. Creative stocks many other new outdoor and tactical gear at decent prices. Perhaps you could also be interested in a riot helmet to go along with a machete?
