Disappointing Experience and Poor Customer Service…read more We purchased a homecoming dress for our daughter for $180 last Sunday, and her (1sst) homecoming is tonight. Less than a week after the purchase, the sequins on the dress are falling off. The dress had been put away in the bag since we purchased it, so we were shocked to discover the issue. With homecoming happening tonight, we took the dress back to the store today in hopes of getting some help resolving the issue. Unfortunately, the store offered no meaningful assistance, other than 25% off the purchase of another dress. With prom just hours away, that offer does absolutely nothing to address the problem we were facing. What made the experience even more disappointing was the owner's question about whether our daughter had tried the dress on at home, which came across as an implication that she was somehow responsible for the damage. Is it unreasonable to expect a $180 prom dress to hold up to being tried on for five minutes? We certainly don't think so. We understand that issues can occasionally arise with a product, but how a business responds when something goes wrong says a lot about its commitment to its customers. We weren't expecting anything unreasonable; we simply hoped the store would stand behind a dress that had been purchased less than a week earlier and was already falling apart. This was our first experience with this store, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. Offering a discount on a future purchase isn't a solution when the current purchase has failed, especially when the customer has an immediate and important event to attend. It's hard to understand why we would want to do business here again after this experience. A very unfortunate situation for our daughter right before her prom, and a disappointing example of customer service.

I didn't have my husband's actual measurements, and the shirts I brought to compare were NOT all the same sizes! Dakota was optimistic and up for the challenge! (His supervisor didn't look so comfortable with this idea lol) Dakota spent a good couple of hours meticulously measuring and filling out a form, helped me decide on an obscure color my husband wanted, along with cuffs, collars, monogram, blahblah lol - he was soo patient! The shirt came in and Dakota packaged it for the birthday. Everything went wonderfully! Hubby was thrilled and looks HOT in his custom shirt! Dakota - see you soon!

One of my daughters got married a few years ago and we looked here for her dress. The experience…read morewas pretty good. She didn't end up getting her dress there. I have another daughter who will be getting married next year. We've started looking for her dress. We had a great experience at the first place she looked and definitely have some front runners. She had an appointment on a Saturday morning. Five us were there with her. None of us could believe how bad our appointment was. I can't even call her a consultant. She was a flat out sales person. She didn't listen to what my daughter was telling her. My daughter could barely breathe in one of the dresses and the sales gal went on and on about the dress. She literally said to her, "I can tell you don't even want to take it off" as my daughter was saying how she couldn't breathe in it. She was pushing the look over comfort. Most of the time my girl didn't like the look or feel the comfort. Brides are in their dress for hours and hours on their wedding day so of course comfort is important. There was a dress that my daughter kind of liked. She pointed out what she didn't like about it. The sales gal said that all kinds of changes could be made. Now, I know that each of those changes cost money, but she never mentioned that fact. She was also not respectful of my daughter's budget. The sales person was extremely pushy, a little rude, and dismissive. She almost seemed angry that we didn't purchase something that day. I have a third daughter. When it's her time to get married, I know where we won't be going.

They mentioned that they have 800+ dresses in stock. I also happened to note the room where they have the samples they are retiring and sale to clients who need one in a shorter time or want to save some money--although these are of course limited by what size you're looking for but there looked to be a ton of options there. The stylists do a great mix of pulling/making suggestions for you and walking with you so you can look at options yourself. I worked with Megan during my first visit who was very attentive and had a great interpretation of what I was looking for in my random rambling. She texted a few weeks later to mention that the dress I had been most interested in would be part of an upcoming trunk show and would have a discount during that weekend. I was so impressed that she remembered and took the time to do that. I really felt like it was thoughtful and a personal touch. My second try on was great too. I really had a lovely experience. The shop has been in business for over 30 years. They partner with Savvi Formalwear so your groom/groomsmen can get discounts on their suits/tuxes. They did mention that as of May 2024 they will no longer be doing bridesmaid dresses.

However I clearly stated my vision and I just don't feel like it was executed. We visited two additional bridal shops and the entire visit was like night and day. I found my dress elsewhere because I felt 100x more comfortable at the other places. While we were trying on dresses, another bride was at the counter. She was nervous and upset because her wedding was in 4 weeks and her dress hadn't even arrived yet. That is scary on its own. The manager was literally yelling at the bride and we could hear everything. It was SUPER unprofessional. Our stylist even apologized... the bride said to us "do not buy here". We listened to her, obviously we do not want to go through that if we have issues too. The bride was in a crunch and literally showed up at our next appointment - she bought a different dress at the other shop. Like I mentioned - our stylist was friendly, but I don't even remember her name. We didn't connect. I felt comfortable at the other places and got to know the stylists and had conversations with them.

I was nervous going in…read morebecause I'm not someone who has ever loved trying on clothes but they did a great job of making me feel comfortable. My consultant was Lydia and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was the perfect hype woman but also made sure that my opinion was what we focused on. They had me send in pictures of dresses I liked before my appointment so dresses were pulled that I would like ahead of time. This helped stream line the process so much. After the first round of trying on all the dresses Lydia helped me talk through all of them and narrow it down, but also pulled more dresses based on styles I liked on! I was also asked about my budget before my appointment, and they only brought out dresses that were within my budget. I'm so thankful for this because it would have been horrible to fall for a dress I couldn't afford. They had a wide range of prices so I didn't feel limited by my budget at all. I never felt rushed at all which put me so at ease with the whole process. I had to put my dress on 4 times total to finally make a decision but once I said yes Lydia made me feel so confident in my decision. Thank you so much Clarice's for making this part of the wedding process so easy.
