Surprised to spot so many types of birds in such a developed residential area. Many types of water fowl and song birds show themselves along the whole lake and pond. Wonderful dirt and paved walking path surrounding this lake. It connects to a large disc golf park. Lots of benches and some picnic tables. They charge for parking. There are a lot of street parking along the side roads for free, although there is a busy road one must cross. read more

A hidden oasis for for ducks, geese, and kids! This little park delivers a big package. The "lake," itself is only a mile round making it easy for even the little ones to walk around at least once. On sunny days it gets pretty bright so wear sunglasses/hat since there aren't many trees to block the sun. After a lovely stroll let your kids run wild at the little playground. Rock climbing seems to be the theme, as it has a rock wall and slab climbing thingy (you'll know what I mean when you see it, Adults can grab their Tennis/Pickle rackets and hit the courts. Our try out the BRAND NEW DISC GOLF court which is HUGE and elaborately made! Can't wait to come back just to try it out! Ps. Entrance is $5 per non-residents and $3 for cameronians. Also NO DOGS, NO BIKES, and NO BAZOOKAS allowed. read more

Awesome place. Tons of geese, ducks, fish. Even seen a couple small otters. My gripe.... all kinds of weirdos come here. Got people lettin their kids catch baby geese. People fishin with multiple fishing poles. Most of em look shady like they have no license. People walking dogs and/or have bikes (all prohibted). The biggest problem is nobody does $#*% about it. Staff doesnt do anything. Never seen any type of law enforcement out there. It's a free for all (during the off season when it's free to get in). They button up on rules, it'd be 5 stars. read more

Beautiful lake! So grateful to have this near us for over 13 years that we have been here. HOWEVER, whoever took over in the last two years has decided to charge residents every month of the year, when previously it was o my the summer months. To add to this insult, they want you to pay a parking fee to WALK on the grounds... Who's idea was that? With over 2 million in the parks fund and large HOAS, I think that's a bit ridiculous. read more

I am in love with this park. We went a few days ago and have been thinking about it ever since! We drove up one morning and were easily able to get a parking spot. There were a few families walking around the lake, but it was pretty empty. The views are gorgeous and the walk is terrific. And if you play Pokémon Go, you will love this place as well. Not only will you get great exercise, but you will catch a ton of rare Pokémon. We stayed there for about 3 hours and caught about 30-40 Magikarp, 5 Dratini, 1 Dragonair, tons of Psyducks and Slowpokes. It was fun to walk around the lake and observe the people who were out there to power walk, to stroll, or to Pokémon. My husband and I were laughing at what we guessed the non-Pokémoners were thinking of all these people who were walking with their eyes glued on their phones. :P One lady walked up to us and she's like "Can I ask you a question? What's a Dratini?" We explained it to her and she soon understood it was about Pokémon. :) It's very clean, even the restrooms. There are tennis courts, Bbq areas, and a gazebo nearby too. Wear comfy shoes, bring water, and bring sunglasses and a visor/hat! We wish we had brought a hat last week. Apparently in the summer, it costs $5 a person to enter, but since January is off season, it was free. Yay!! No pets allowed, which was kinda nice. It was tough enough trying to avoid goose droppings everywhere. Too bad the entire path can't be paved. Can't wait to go back to this place. It's gorgeous and I felt so alive after our 4.5-mile Pokémon walk. :) read more

I came for the large mouth bass (LMB) and was not disappointed. I caught 7 decent size bass within 2 hrs last Sunday from 7-9pm. All were catches and released. I didn't like having to pay $5 however, I can taking the whole family here to enjoy the picnic tables and swimming. read more

Took the grandkids fishing. Although the operator said there were lots of fish, we did not catch any nor see anyone else catch any. On the plus side, it was a nice looking park with beautiful swans, geese, turtles, etc. The park was a bit dirty due to all the animal fleeces. read more

I love Cameron Park lake . It's been a lot cleaner on the walking path recently . I love how it's 1 mile around the lake . It makes the mile a breeze. I just wish it was free to walk year round . read more

It would have been nice of the CSD to give us a heads up on their "no dog policy". It wasn't in the flyers and there were no signs put up along the entrances. This is unacceptable and I will never pay for the summer spectacular again. read more

Great little lake to take the family too. You can take your tube or kayak on the lake. They also have paddle boats to rent. There is a track that goes all the way around the lake(1 mile). They also have a swimming hole with life guards on duty. Tennis courts and play ground. Plenty of parking available. Picnic area with bathrooms and business to buy drinks (not sure if they sell food too). It does cost to enter. $5 for non residents and $3 for residents. Charge per person not by the vehicle. This lake is a catch and release lake only. read more

Cameron Park Lake is a nice place but is pretty much over taken by geese poop. Also having to pay to use the walking paths seems stupid to me. I avoid this place fir that reason. Sad. read more

Funny that people can't figure out the reason dogs aren't allowed is because of all the wildlife that lives there, such as the geese and the ducks who would be in danger from dogs. Now if they could just do something about the parents who let their children bother the animals. read more

Very clean, plenty of picnic areas, super nice people and ducks... Great place to spend time with kids and grand kid. Plus you take a short drive and check out the planes in folks front yards. Very cool read more

This was our first time to this lake. I had a really good time. As we where approaching the main entrance I ask the cashier about a good place for kids he was very helpful. and pointed at a perfect spot to bbq and a spot for kids .As we where getting our stuff unloaded a park worker by the name of Carlos was very kind to replace our garbage bag for a new one. He ask me if I had some beach toys for my little one I said no, he immediately went over and brought me some so she can keep her self busy on the sand.. THANKS CARLOS I will definitely be coming back real soon read more

What a disappointment and waste of money. Just moved to the area and decided to check it out with husband, daughter and two grandchildren. Nothing much there but goose poop everywhere. My 7 year old grandson said "yuk, let's get out of here, it's disgusting". That's exactly what we did. 5his place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

Love this spot! I like to go run around the lake and spend time walking with friends. The geese can be a little scary for the little kids.

I love taking my kid to the swimming lagoon. We also enjoy the 4th of July celebration. The little turtles that live there are amazing. Just an amazing place to visit. read more

Cameron Park is such a beautiful place to live. It's nice to be away from the hustle and bustle down the hill, spectacular greenery and Sierra views, yet close enough to drive down for the major shopping once a month or two. The Lake & Lagoon is such a magnificent draw to be living up here. The playground can use some updating, but overall the park staff does a good job with keeping the park clean including the restrooms. read more

I'm fortunate to be able to live near the lake and have daily access to it. It is gorgeous to see the sun reflect off the water in the evening. It's perfect for a little or a lot of exercise. Love this place. Great spot to fish and still fun for family and little ones. It's well kept and well cleaned only thing that pissed me off is apparently there's a renaissance fair going on and not only did they want 12$ a person to enter (when all I wanted to do was fish with me my gf and a 2 yr old) they were hella rude. Like how you gonna charge almost triple to enter a place that isn't charging people any more? Lol a bejeweled guy wearing lady clothes tried giving me an attitude so I left. This is a great park for the family. The swimming lake is great and the water was warm. There's lots to do at the park for all ages.

A great place to fish in the fish in the summer months, best bet for bass is to use plastic worms & the lake has shoreline access around the entire lake. This lake has a lot of weeds,which helps the bass habitat, but can make fishing tough, so be sure to rig worms weedless, unless you have access to a small boat or float tube. read more

I HATE that they won't allow dogs here. If it's because they are afraid of poop, then they need to do something about the geese and duck poop everywhere. They charge $3 a person (not car, person) just to walk around the lake. I never come here in the summer when they charge because I think it's ridiculous. If they changed their policy on dogs, then I would consider spending the money to jog around the lake every morning. read more
