I have done several photoshoots at Camera Shy and have always had a positive experience. I received a email in June that said they were offering 20 minute mini sessions for $55 at the Orem location. I scheduled my photo shoot and put "mini session" in the appointment notes box (like the email requested). We arrived for our shoot and everything went well, we were happy with the quality of pictures. We were asked to come back in 30-45 minutes so our photographer could edit the pictures. We left and I sent my husband in to review the pictures and pay for the session. On the receipt he was charged $65 for the shoot, we went in to talk to someone to find out why we were charged $10 more than the email stated. There was only one person working and she was in the middle of a session. We waited for 45 minutes and were told she would contact her manager to find out if a refund for the $10 could be processed. After texting her manager she was told that a refund couldn't be processed because we were required to show the email to get the special price. The only thing the manager was willing to do was give us 2 8x10's. Then we had to wait for 30 minutes to even get our prints. I was unsure how I could contact a manager to voice my complaint so I sent a message through Facebook, the message has been seen but no response from the company. I'm not as frustrated by the $10 but by the way the situation was handled. The email didn't say it needed to be shown otherwise I would have made sure my husband did that. For the manager to state it was my fault for not showing the email when I had done everything the email stated is bad customer service. A friend of mine got the same email, booked her shoot the same exact way as I did and received the $55 price and never was asked to show the email. read more
